Naruto Gaiden: The Will of Fire (The RP)

That was easy. Then again, it was easy to spar with her back then, too. Nothing's changed; except my strength. Heheh.

"Alright!" Kinatama raised his right foot up, brought it forward, and planted it down hard, causing a few cracks to form on the ground below; he then brought his forearms up with his fists pointing towards Zalor. Kinatama had formed the signature taijutsu stance of the Mottoyoi Clan.

"I've been waiting for another match. I'm ten times as good as I was last time, I promise!" Kinatama boasted.

Zalor smirked.

"Heh. Good! So am I teme!" Zalor said and formed a handsign. "Shadow clone jutsu!"

She made 2 clones, one charged at Kinatama while the other stayed with Zalor.

A clone. That's not fun. Kinatama's face hardened. She's probably trying to test me out, see my improvements. Alright then. Kinatama quickly pulled out some shuriken, loaded them in both hands, and flung them towards the Zalor clone.

(Sorry guys, I was busy today...)

Koukon eventually found his way to the group. "Sorry guys, I was held up by a few things along the way..." He explained, hoping they wouldn't get too mad. He noticed that Kinatama and Zalor were fighting, and sat next to Hana. "So, what's going on here, then?" He asked her, trying to get answers from her while the other two were sparring.

The clone poofed into smoke that was big enough for Kinatama to not see what Zalor was doing. Suddenly, there was light on the other side of the smoke and the smoke blew away to reveal Zalor's rasengan. Her other clone poofed away in small smoke and Zalor charged at Kinatama.

"Rasengan!" She shouted.

Rasengan? Since when can she do that?

Kinatama just barely sidestepped the attack, instincts making him grab Zalor's wrist and pull her body towards his; he then drove his other hand into her stomach, the blow sending her back.

"Gah!" Zalor flew back and the rasengan exploded on contact with the ground, covering the area in dust and debris. When the dust and debris went away, Zalor wasn't there.

"Looks like they're sparring.  It's not that big of deal anyways!  I can defeat both of them pretty easily.  Ssssst ahhh!" she ended, touching the top of her back, near the neck.

She kept rubbing it.  After a bit, she felt another burning on the other side of her back, almost in the exact opposite spot.  She rubbed it and rubbed it, but it kept hurting.

"Shadow clone!" she said, forming the hand seals.

She then ordered her shadow clone to look at it and disperse after determining what it was.  "A cursed seal?!?" she asked.  Having studied her history, being able to recall it as well as a standard alphabet, she knew exactly what most of the past had in store for her.  "And what's worse... there's two..."

She pulled up her collar and looked around, hoping no one had noticed.  She had hoped Koukon would think she had the clone scratch her back or something idiotic.

Where'd she go? Kinatama thought, arms raised and eyes scouring the field, looking for any sign of his disapeared opponent... Man. She could be anywhere...

Hana, starting to become very agitated, covered both sides of her top back as she walked away.  She turned the corner as she summoned two shadow clones, her max capacity.  She sat down as she relayed what to do.  The two shadow clones examined the cursed seal more carefully.  After doing so, they arrived at the conclusion that it has been with her probably since a kid and maybe since birth.

She was shocked as she received all the information from the shadow clones all at once.  Suddenly, a mysterious figure appeared before her, the Anbu-like masked person from before.

"It's great to see you, Naruto" they said, immediately disappearing.

"Uzumaki you mean?  I'm related to him and all, but I can't say I'm as good as the great hero!" she yelled.  She then began to realize.  "Are you the one that did this to me?!?"

Kinatama's concentration was thrown off as he noticed, from the corner of his eye, that Hana was gone.

Huh? Where'd she go? He thought. Then, suddenly, he felt a strange feeling come over him. Hey... my gut's telling me something. It's saying that... that feeling I had before. It's back. But how?

His eyes then went where the feeling was coming from: away from the grounds, a block away from his location. For something reason, the feeling tightened, as if there was something bad about to happen... Kinatama did not want to risk anything, so he had no choice but for his gut to lead him.

"Zalor! Wherever you are, come out! You and Koukon need to follow me! It's an emergency!" Kinatama cried, quickly dashing out of the Academy gate and turning a corner, heading towards the feeling that his gut sensed out.

Before him, Kinatama spotted Hana sitting down. "Hey, Hana! There you are!" Kinatama ran towards her. "Why are you here? Is there something wrong?"

"Oh!" she said, turning her head.  "Nothing's wrong!  Everything's fine!"  She let out a very believable smile, trying to forget the rest of the events that occurred right before her new friend came over to check on her.

Moments earlier...

Another appeared, bearing a different colored and designed mask.  "No... we merely unlatched the seals."

She jumped at him, but he quickly subdued her, leaving her sitting on the ground unable to move.

"Tch," he said.  "After all that trouble and only ONE... HE's not gonna be happy about this."  The mysterious person disappeared.

Present...

She pretended to be alright, not letting out the fact that she was semi-paralyzed.

"I just wanted some peace and quiet is all.  I'll come and watch in a bit!" she assured Kinatama, letting out a happy smile, for in fact, she was happy.  She was overjoyed, that they did not get hurt, even if she did in their place instead...

Kinatama may be a trusting person, but unfortunately for Hana, he was experienced in people giving him fake smiles. He could tell right away that something was wrong.

Well, at least that weird feeling is gone. Still, let's have a look see. Kinatama bent down on one knee and examined Hana's form. He took one of his gloved hands and touched one of Hana's legs with his index and middle finger, eyes closed in concentration. He then moved his fingers to Hana's other leg, then to her ribs and waist. The Mottoyoi Clan's affiliation with muscles allowed Kinatama the skill to sense the exact condition of certain muscles with a single touch.

Kinatama took his fingers away. "Just what I thought. Several of your muscles have been shot. You're temporarily dead from the waist down," Kinatama's eyes grew more serious. "Okay, don't lie to me this time: what happened to you, Hana?"

(...... -_- I feel like this is revenge on me for some damn reason...)

Zalor popped up next to Kinatama. She hid in the bushes while the other three were clones. She watched everything that happened.

"Yeah. What happened?" Zalor lied.

"Okay... sorry.  It must have been from the fall earlier..." she said, trying to redirect the subject.  "Also, the encounter with those Anbu guys.  I've been really tired lately and I guess fatigue's got to me."

She looked down and began to feel this strong urge to tell the truth.  The weight of it all was starting to collapse under her arms and his stern eyes only made it worse.  "...and well, shadow clone!" she said.

She planned on making two again, hoping to carry her off her feet as she prepared her deceit, but instead, at least ten appeared.  The clones popped up and immediately fell on the ground as they too suffered from the same condition she was in.  She stupidly forgot basic training 101... clones are a copy of your current condition and they were all in pain and unable to move.  They quickly disappeared into smoke as she could not use them properly.

(No, that's not it at all. lol I just want want this little game that Sky's playing to end.)

Kinatama sighed. More lies. "Dammit," He cursed under his breath. He then scooped up Hana in his arms, carrying her bridal style. "Come on. I'm taking you to the hospital so that we can get you fixed up. And on the way, you better tell me the truth. For real this time." His voice hid no cheerfulness. He was truly concerned for Hana at the moment, and she needed to cooperate. Friends don't hide anything from one another.

Kinatama then turned to Zalor. "Come with me. You might want to clue into whatever's going on with Hana. I gotta feeling whatever's she's hiding might effect us all. Oh, wait, but before you follow me, get Koukon. He'll need to hear it too." Kinatama finished, leisurely walking towards the Hospital, only so far away from their location, Hana in his arms.

Zalor sweatmarked.

"Hm." She followed him going in the opposite direction.

(Lol, I was thinking I could do my own thing while you guys battled it out for a bit xP)

Hana blushed as she was picked up by Kinatama.  She was quite embarrassed by the situation and her face only grew more red.  She tucked her head in as she went into detail on what happened.

"...and that's how it happened..." she finished.  "Don't make me repeat it again, please..." she ended, asking him to relay the message to the others.

(What? Not my fault Axel aint doing shit.)

"Now, that was the truth," Kinatama replied. "You should have said that in the first place. After all, if you remember what happened to Sasuke when he got a Curse Mark... you'd think that you wouldn't want to end up in the same situation. Right? And besides, this isn't about you anymore. You're my friend, and you're in danger. And those ANBU looking guys... they're probably cooking up something bad. That feeling I got... it came straight from them. I know that now.

(Yea it's fine, I understand.  I'll let you guys finish your battle right now lol)

"Friend..." she repeated in her mind.  "Even though these two always talk about being acknowledge by one another, I never really thought about it."

After all, she wasn't an outcast in a sense that she was never recognized to be someone before... but then again, she was never noticed to begin with.  Unlike her two mates, she wasn't actively avoided, more as she wasn't actively anything.  She was a wallflower, as much as she bragged to be related to greatness, she knew so.

"Just drop me off at the hospital and go ahead and get the information from sensei... I'll make it through.  With the technology they have today, I'm sure they'll be able to remove the curse marks, or at least seal them shut."

(Heheh... We aren't fightin' now.)

Zalor scratched her head and followed Kinatama instead. While she was following them, she heard everything Hana told Kinatama. She blinked.

'The... Curse mark?' Zalor thought.

'Something that has been passed down for generations.... It turns you into a power hungry monster....' Gobi thought to Zalor. Zalor nodded, hiding in the darkness as she followed them.

(Sure. Thanks for understanding.)

"I'd hope so. We don't need any more problems. We already have a jerk for a Hokage and a bunch of weird ANBU looking guys trying to stir up trouble. You need to be back on your feet ASAP."

Kinatama and Hana reached the hospital; the receptionist in front called for two doctors to carry Hana back to a room where they could check on her. Meanwhile, Kinatama walked back outside. He stood for a moment, knowing full well he was being followed.

"Hey, Zalor... I need to tell you what Hana told me. It's very important,"  Kinatama said, crossing his arms and waiting.

The mark began to envelope her whole body just as the doctor came to see her.  Just like she expected, the technology was there and they were planning to remove the mark in about a half hour's time.

The procedure began as the doctors began to funnel the excess chakra off her body and into a tube.  They knew that someone would pop out of the mark, possibly another piece of Orochimaru.  To their surprise, nothing came out.  After countless tries, the doctors decided to go ahead and just seal them off, which happened to work.

She lied in the bed, peaceful, knowing that her troubles would be gone.
