a lot of people just don't understand the importance of kingdom hearts 3 being revealed. they just think "ok awesome! its about time." when they should be thinking "OMFG!!!! ITS FINNALY HERE!!!! Well, I've kept up with the series and been playing the handheld games that fill in the story before KH1, between KH1 and 2, and lead up to KH3, so I haven't been waiting for 7 years, I'd been enjoying the series along the way, and knew it was coming, opposed to those who boycotted the series after KH2 not looking at any of their new installments seeing the news thinking "OMG THEY'VE JUST RELEASED A KH GAME FOR ONCE IN A DECADE WOW".

 

But yeah.  I reckon it'll be 2 years before it's out.  No point breaking down just now.

well i was really happy when i saw the announcement trailer but like i have been repressing my reactions in front of my computer screen cuz my family would totally think im weird if i started yelling at my screen cuz i saw something like KH3

I didn't necessarily 'freak out' but I am indeed EXTREMELY PSYCHED for this on the inside. When I saw the news on the site, I was basically just "O_O!!!!!!!"

I've been enjoying the series after the release of KH2 with titles like BbS and 3D. When KH3 was announced, I didn't know what to believe in when I saw that image of Sora holding Eraqus' keyblade. Then it wasn't until I saw the whole trailer and I was like, FINALLY!! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS... and I find it exciting that the saga is drawn to a close. What I'm not surprised is the fact that the release date could be further towards 2014/2015 after all the HD ReMIXes are out.

I was with my friends when somebody sent me the link, I'm like "Oh KH 1.5 HD, cool but they should start KH3 -_-" and then it happened I saw the logo and the small in game footage, jesus christ, I lost it! My friends were scared (I'm a 21 YO 6"1' 195lbs) so I am a big grown old man yelling for a game that has Mickey mouse and crying because of it (it wasnt my best momment in front of my friends LOL) but I didnt give a firetruck, I was jumping around! so exited I'm still are, they dont understand but I'm making them play the original PS2 games so they can understand and feel my pain of waiting so much for a game lol.

no i dont think its too soon. well at the moment anyway. if it turns into a 6 year Versus development then yes it would be too soon but i dont think that will be the case

I find it pretty weird that he said this, considering I remember him saying in an interview that he "announces games as soon as they are in development." and it's been in development for years...I'd think this was a perfect time to announce a game for a 2015 release. It better not mean that it'll be much longer than that...

From what I've heard it sounds like they're in the very early stages, and that the work from 2010 was very basic preproduction plans like character designs/concept worlds and basic plot, from that I think they haven't actually made much progress in creating the game for the systems, which could mean that it would take longer, I think though they should have announced 2.5 first though, since logically counting 2.5 comes before 3 ._.'
