Nafees Rahman 35 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) After beating dream drop distance ( for the twentieth time) I stopped playing for six months and picked up fire emblem awakening and pokemon white 2 and super mario galaxy and after the reveal of 1.5 hd remix I had the urge to beat the entire kh series again So after beating kh1com358recodedbirthbysleep I finally beat kh2 literally right after the kh 3 announcement. I picked up 3d again today and I have to say I dont really get why everyone hates flowmotion and the switching between characters, your thoughts? People also hate how easy it is and how confusing the story is ._. WTF? (The story is convoluted and makes no sense even for KHthey just introduced a bunch of shit with no prior setupfelt really poorly executedI also don't think that huge wide open areas fit KH very wellthe command system was watered down from BBS and CodedDream Eaters are a pain to take care ofand the Drop Gauge is annoying) My friends thoughts ._. I dont know whats wrong with him.. Edited June 13, 2013 by Nafees Rahman

Epic KH Fan_13 64 Posted June 13, 2013 I wanted to replay the hole series before playing DDD but I couldn't wait to play it I loved flowmotion and I think the best way is to play DDD last, or not play a kh game right after it cause other games will just feel slow.... Caity 3,946 Posted June 13, 2013 People get annoyed when they are in the middle of a boss battle, one where they haven't overpowered themselves so it's not a easy fight and would take some time, to drop just before killing said boss and then have to restart it from the beginning again. Flowmotion is good for getting around the large areas quickly (personally I still find it slow since the rooms are so vast) but generally people who actually like a challenge find it annoying that it's so overpowered. Can't get curaga, all your commands timed out, enemies surrounding you? FLOWMOTION EVERYWHERE. Gamers want a challenge not just a pretty story where the gameplay is a walkthrough. But if it's used again it would be tweaked I think so it couldn't be abused as much. There's also the fact that the pacing was off. At the start you progressed through the story so slowly and then had tons thrown at you at the end. I get they were building suspense for the end but it just made the story feel boring at the start and rushed at the end. But from what I know a lot of people like DDD. Only ones I've seen really complaining they hate it are the seasonal fans who hate anything on a handheld and think they're not important to the story. I give the game 7/10, for previous mentioned reasons, which is still good to me.
tothecikpah 230 Posted June 13, 2013 flow motion..no..but if drop system..then yes... it's really annoying for some people
venxas24 544 Posted June 13, 2013 I love Flowmotion, but I think the drop gauge could've been a little longer, but there is drop-me-nots. I love the game
Rob 5,571 Posted June 13, 2013 Only bad thing I've heard is the glitches.
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted June 13, 2013 I don't understand the hate either one gets (though I don't hear much hate from flowmotion). Drop-Me-Nots are so cheap that after the first world you should have enough money so that for the rest if the game you will never drop unless you want to. Flowmotion might be the most innovative thing gameplay wise to come out of KH. I don't see how anyone can hate that. Whoever thought of that mechanic is nothing short of a genius! keystrike 145 Posted June 13, 2013 I outlined my problems with kh3d in this thread: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/54674-kh3d-rant/ A lot of my issues with it boil down to that it was a rushed game trying to incorporate some bold concepts from gameplay to story. Exlon 165 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) Flowmotion actually makes some things convenient after you get used to it. Although you had to search everywhere thoroughly to make sure you found everything... The drop gauge was mildly annoying, but not so bad (again) once you get used to it. However, I thought the way they played out the story was horrible. Not much new/interesting theough most of the game, and then asdfghjkl123@+=[!?> lots of random crap at the end that while LOGICALLY could make sense, messes up the entire set system of how things work in the series. Sora found out from Xemnas that the members of the Organization actually had hearts. But that makes no sense, as they were Nobodies, and THE DEFINITION OF A NOBODY IS WHEN SOMEONE WITH A STRONG HEART LOSES THAT HEART, THEY BECOME A NOBODY. NO HEART. So yes, I was a little ticked off they were like "lol yeah they had hearts." Roxas could've been an exception, with the whole Ventus mixup thing. I don't like the time travel twist very much, but if that's what Nomura wants to do, whatever. Although really I think that should make Xehanort undefeatable. And I wanna know what happened to Terra if Xehanort returned to his normal old creepy self and, at least in the waking world, both Heartless Xehanort and Xemnas were taken care of. Oh, and Sora seemed to me very childish and immature in this title. I was quite disappointed in him. I thought he behaved better in KH2, and not just because his voice actually fit his appearance. Elijah Gravenhorst 480 Posted June 13, 2013 I love the game, I've played it through a billion times and I've never gotten sick of it, any problems it has can be dealt with pretty easily.
OthersiderME 614 Posted June 13, 2013 I'd better not be the only one who actually liked the drop gauge. aside from that, the story was not well done, we still have no idea why time travel was incorporated, and flowmotion, while fun, made both combat and exploration way too easy. I've also run into a couple annoying glitches, fortunately, i did not run into any gamebreaking ones.

Exlon 165 Posted June 14, 2013 Oh, and I was disappointed with majority of non-final boss battle music, but that's really not a big deal. The story is what bugged me most. *already ranted*
