Why no one has asked about 2.5

Recommended Posts

So, a lot of people seem to be very shocked why Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts III took over the conversation at E3 thus far. To me, it seems rather simple as to why the possibility of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 has not been discussed yet. We have to remember that E3 is focusing on the idea that none of us know anything about Kingdom Hearts 1.5. We're not technically supposed to know about the hint in the credits yet because 1.5 has yet to be released in NA. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts III trailers have been released to NA. They're still asking him questions about 1.5 as if gamers have no idea what is in store with the new game, same for Kingdom Hearts III. I'm figuring since Nomura has mentioned that more details about Kingdom Hearts' future will be released at TGS this year, that's our best bet to hear about 2.5. Remember, we're not supposed to know about the credits, so E3 doesn't have any intentions of spoiling it for people who have yet to look up the credits themselves.

Basically, just calm down guys. There will be at least questions brought up about it soon enough! :)

it goes without saying, if you just look at the pattern in which nomura made the games it becomes even more obvious there will be a 2.5.

also nomura confirmed it in an interview xD  "it would be unnatural if there wasn't *laughs wryly*"

No I'm not denying there will be one, I'm trying to calm people down who are worried about it not being mentioned at E3! :P

I'm not worried...

Even if we were suppose NOT to know about 1.5's credits, I would say that it would've been obvious from the start anyway...  1.5 contained: Final Mix, ReCoM, and the cinematic 358/2 Days. We would've taken a hint that we would get 2.5 that contains: Final Mix II, BBS Final Mix, and (perhaps) Re:Coded might be cinematic as well...

I just wonder when its going to appear as a trailer, a release date, and what console? I would guess its going to be on the PS3 and perhaps--the 360... I'm curious about HOW are they going to pull off the Mirage Arena features?

This is going to be an excellent steady flow of games from Square Enix.  It's obvious that a 2.5 HD Remix will be released, and I've never questioned the thought.  I mean, in all seriousness, why make one HD collection if your not going to have it completely?  I agree with you FightTheDarkness, all questions that need be asked of the future of the Kingdom Hearts series will probably be made in TGS.  All I can say is that I'm so damn happy for Kingdom Hearts 3 finally being announced! :D

I'm thinking 2.5 will be announced at TGS this year and come out next year. Next year, I guess KH III will get a release date for 2015, given that whole one KH a year thing. I'm hoping BBSv2 doesn't end up as its own game. It would be a let-down to have two collections getting you mostly up to speed on the series, and then adding more to the story when III is already on its way.
