Playable characters

From what I can see here http://kh13.com/news/36941-square-enix-press-release-reveals-kingdom-hearts-iii-story-details, Sora and Riku are going to be playable characters again. Sora will obviously have Donald and Goofy as party members and I think Riku would only have Mickey as a party member.
What are your thoughts, do you think maybe the 7 guardians or previous Keyblade wielders could be party members and/or playable characters?

I would HOPE that all lights are playable at a point in the game.  I would suspect a number of them will be party characters.  Unless they do something like FF where you had a party of 3 and could flick between them all

That would be interesting but I think the game would kinda suck if it had too many playable characters.

Sounds like we get to play as Mickey and maybe some others based off of what Nomura said.

 

Guessing that you get to play as Riku and Mickey to save Terra Aqua and Ven. So as you get them you may be able to also play as them.

I'd honestly probably enjoy it more if they just focused on Sora and made him the only playable character for the majority of the story. I do want the lights to be playable for the huge final battle. Realistically though, from what I understand it'll probably be Riku and Sora like in DDD

Maybe we can play two story's, Sora with Donald and Goofy to find the seven guardians of light

And we can play Riku with as team mate Mickey to finde the rest of Keyblade wielders

I just noticed that Sora will look for the 7 guardians but what confuses me is... isn't Sora one of the 7 guardians? Would that mean that he's looking for himself and 6 other dudes?

meh, i know some people will be excited but all i want is co-op where my friends can start playing as donal and goofy or whoever your current companion is

You know what I want? Online multiplayer, Maybe 3 friends playing as the Awesome Trio, or maybe an Online Multiplayer Fighting Game where you could use the known characters and the organization XIII imagine that... orgasmsssss...
