Now, I'm probably the only one concerned by the fact the BBS and DDD team are working on KH3 instead of the main team. They weren't involved in KH1 and KH2 so I'm afraid it's going to look more like their handhelds than the main console games. Personally, I'm afraid of new gimmicks that I probably won't like and that the game will be way too similar to the handhelds and that it'll move away from the console ones. Some of you might think I'm stupid for complaining about Drive Forms only, but I felt like that feature made a big impact on the game when you compare it to KH1. How is this gonna be handled?

Do you guys have any pros/cons of the Osaka team making this? Please share your pros and cons in a list like this:

I don't want to say I'm concerned but I think I might be a little bit wary.

Pro

The DDD team have already worked on Flowmotion and it seems KH3 is going to be using it too. So they will hopefully not mess it up?

I really liked both BBS and 3D, but I'd like to see KH3 be more of a return to the original formula. I'm wary, but hopeful that the Osaka team can pull this off.

pros

1. the osaka team did well on the storylines for bbs and ddd with twists and turns that left us with questions about future games and would be cool to see the cliff-hanger that they would make for the end of the xeonorght saga

2. they would know how to bring back terra, aqua, and ventus  without ruining the plot

I really liked what the Osaka team has done with the KH series with BBS and DDD in both story and gameplay so my expectations are very high that this game will be no worse than solid gameplay and could be the best in the series

Pros:

-Good storylines, gameplay, all that jazz.

Cons:

- Seriously lacking NPCs.

-Games could get repetitive/linear.

-needs to break away from the "go through level--->fight boss ---> happily ever after" formula

Exactly NPCs and that linear gameplay in worlds where you go through the world, fight a boss , and that's it...But I think they will/should make it more like Kh1 and 2 I mean It's not that hard

You're not the only one who is worried. They games made by the Osaka team lack in fluidity and polishing. I also feel bad for the Kingdom Hearts team, i'm pretty sure they all wanted to work on KH3.

Pros:

1. they are good at thinking of new game mechanics like flowmotion.

Cons

1. Their game mechanics lack in fluidity.

2. Their games lack in polishing. For exemple the invisible walls in KH3D.

3. They are bad at making their game mechanics flow with the rest of the mechanics.

Indeed, it's not really fluid. It definitely wasn't as fluid as KH2, that's for sure. I mean, you could basically stay in the air for a long time and keep attacking enemies without landing on the ground and that was really fluid.

Yeah.. I thought that this would get a few cons. No surprise, honestly.

Osaka are a good team, so have faith that they will do well. They will probably hear fans asking for the game to be like the console games more than the handheld ones, and once FFXV and KH2.5 are finished, the original team will have time to help the Osaka team make an even better game.

Nomura writes the story for all games. The teams just create the game off of what they're given.I'm thinking since this is going to be on a Blu-ray, they're definitely going to be able to make this a huge game. I'm positive it's not going to be anything like a handheld game. Edited by <King Mickey>
