So... I'm temporarily dropping Smash in general, so don't expect to see me here for a while. Sorry about it, but I've been getting way too frustrated over something that's just a simple game, and I feel like it's best to just kind of step back from it for a while. :/ I still love the game, don't get me wrong. I just need a break. I don't really want to get into details about why I'm taking the break as it's kind of personal, so I'll just leave it at this I guess. Keep Smashing, everyone. I'll see you all in the ring again soon.

I never got to battle you anyway… you never registered me. Anyway, don't let losers and noobs get into your head. You gotta understand that or else you'll be very unhappy with competitive games in general. You expressed that before, so I'm guessing that that is the reason you're leaving.

That's more toys than I will ever get in my life.

yeah. i agree with sun. sometimes people will just make excuses. sometimes i wish "no johns" was more understood amoung competition. dont let them get to you. just play with people who are ok with losing and dont make stupid excuses.

also, sun wukong, collectors syndrome i guess. you can imagine my struggle for the rare ones. o.O

I honestly never got to play with most people here. When I get back into Smash, I promise I'll have matches with some of you guys.

Yeah, that's pretty much why. I don't want to go into details, but it's something I deal with a lot. I'm pretty much stepping away until I can forget their comments. I'll admit this has pretty much turned me away from the super competitive side of gaming, though. :/

That's the funny thing: The Melee guys in our group use "no Johns" often. However, it apparently doesn't apply to those of us who don't watch tournaments or play Project M.

i think it should be applied to every aspect of competition. not just melee or PM or even the entire smash series, but all of competition. it sound like something the competative world really needs.

So, I picked up the 3DS version again today to play with some friends at the library. Needless to say, it's not been touched up on ever since the Wii U version came out. Some characters are still quite stronger compared to their Wii U counterparts. My Ness game is at its peak in the 3DS version. I literally cannot stress how amazing my juggling is compared to my sloppy Wii U actions. What I have in Smash 3DS is complete and utter control; something I'll never have in the Wii U version. My friends used Customs and I just used default, non-custom characters.

That's strange. That might be a controller issue. Sadly you can't use the 3DS in online multiplayer on the Wii U, but if you play local, you'll probably be winning.

No, I mean, the 3DS version altogether. I honestly believe it's just a much better version just from today's match ups.

Can't you use the 3DS as a Wii U controller?

As far as I know, the 3DS and the Wii U has the same stats. I could be wrong, since Nintendo never gives patch notes, but I think something like that would've been noticed by people already.

They're not coming out the same for me.

Luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I want Fox so bad. ; (

I'm actually surprised it took so long for him to become rare. When wii fit trainer, villager, and Marty were rare he was just like Mario. Everywhere. If you can I suggest getting samus. I think she will become rare next. :/ just a guess tho

Well, thanks to my brother talking me out of it (and being stuck in a room with only a Gamecube with Melee in it set up in terms of game consoles), I got out of my whole Smash rut earlier than I thought. I won't be able to play with anyone tomorrow, though... Too much homework. -_- I should be able to have some matches later on in the week, though, if anyone wants to have any! Friend code and Mii name for 3DS are on my profile, I only really give my Wii U info to people I know well. :/ Sorry. Either way, time for Shulk to return to the battlefield!

... oh, wait, i feel an argument coming up. this might have been bad timing.

So long as everyone ignores it...

In that case...

How's everyone doing in the game now? I feel like my Shulk's been doing better now that I can think through strategies more easily. Not on the same level as some other Shulks I've faced Looking at you, Reyn... but I got a nice win streak against level 9 CPUs, which I usually don't get with him. My other characters are doing fine, except for Robin, who's getting a little rusty.

My Shulk beat some online Custom fighters as a default character. I rarely mess with customs. xD

My Ness and Yoshi are good in 1v1s most of the time. I can get a good juggle going. Unfortunately, this only seems to be the case in the 3DS version.

I don't touch customs often, either. Custom moves aren't bad, but some of the effects feel a little cheap. ._.

My Ness is pretty good, too. A little rusty thanks to all the time I've spent with Shulk, but he's still not bad at all (At least by my standards).

Do you have the Wii U version Shulk?

Yeah, I just don't really like giving out my Wii U info since that one's more for people I know really well. I use the 3DS version for online battles.
