OmegaForte 1,674 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Nintendo really needs to put someone who can clearly state the status of amiibos. Now they say certain a ones won't be restocked as of now. Also Nintendo should stop being stupid if it is true, because they are losing future profits. There's already a report how very well the amiibos are doing, and not restocking at this early stage is ridiculous. Yeah, not all figures has to be Mario and they really should restock the others since I'm sure not everyone uses Mario in Smash Bros. I hope the Lucina amiibo won't suffer the same fate since I'm sure she's popular if only because of Fire Emblem Awakening 2 OmegaForte and Reyn reacted to this

What's surprising is that neither have be out of stock on Amazon. About Lucina, I'm in it more because I'm maining her, but I may just buy the figma... (I did wiki her before smash was out. I might buy the game if wallet stops crying.)I'll be annoyed if she ends up as a retailer exclusive, something like Walmart, because everyone lives near those. >_> Edited December 9, 2014 by OmegaForte 2 Hero of Winds and Dio Brando reacted to this

Marth 338 Posted December 10, 2014 So uh....this is a thing: Can I just say that I never ever liked Captain Falcon? This game just makes me hate him more than I should. I don't know about you but I despise that his grab literally slides him across 1/3 of stage, meaning grab spammers will absolutely love this guy. In fact that's probably the only reason people really use him along with the Side Special which oddly has KO potential. 1 Reyn reacted to this

Plenty of people out the play Captain Falcon correctly. What you're saying is like saying Pikachu players only play him for Thunder spam. The only monado arts you should bother with are Buster(Purple),Smash(Red) and Speed(Blue) Start with Buster to raise the damage percentage you deal to your opponent, switch to Smash so you can knock them out easily or in case you wanna use combos use speed Jump is only useful for recovery and maybe aerial combos Shield is almost useless cuz, while it reduces knockback,it slows you down and make your recovery Up-B much much worse Edited December 17, 2014 by Smash Mega Koopa 1 Reyn reacted to this

Shulk 8,623 Posted December 17, 2014 Anyone have any good advice on using Shulk? I started playing as him recently. I usually find myself staying away from Monado Arts, because more often than not, they put me at a disadvantage. I'm not the best with Shulk (I know, it's sad) but I have a few tips: When using his visions, hold the control stick in the direction of your opponent. You'll do an instant vision (Not sure what the official name is but that's what Reyn told me it is), which does more knockback. Use the Monado Arts. They might lower a stat, but the boost they give you is incredibly helpful. Jump- Mostly used for recoveries. Switch to it quickly if you're about to fall off, and Air slash will reach much higher than usual. Speed- Mostly just for getting in quick combos or hits. Shield- This is really useful, but don't use it at a percentage that's too high (over 100% is too high, not sure about a really good range. Marth told me 70-100 is usually good). Just prepare to switch to Jump and recover if you need to. Buster- This is probably the most useful. I usually like to open up with Buster just to deal as much damage as possible. Smash- Use this when the opponent's at 80%+. Pair with Down Smash, and you'll be good.

I'm going to try and get the hang of using the Arts in the right situations, based on what you said. Too be honest, I didn't even know what Buster does until now. And I think I've accidentally pulled off one of those instant visions before - I'll practice that while I'm at it.

Plus you can play some awesome mind games with it. I'm not the best with Shulk (I know, it's sad) but I have a few tips: When using his visions, hold the control stick in the direction of your opponent. Anyone have any good advice on using Shulk? I started playing as him recently. I usually find myself staying away from Monado Arts, because more often than not, they put me at a disadvantage. Well, considering i'm one of the best Shulk users on here, i'll tell you what i know. First off, you WANT to memorize and use Artes, they're the main reason Shulk has so much potential to be a great character. One thing you should know right off the bat. If you're using an arte and you want to de-activate it (trust me, you will in case you end up choosing the wrong one/get grabbed while choosing one, or in other cases), just press the B button 3 times, and it'll be de-activated. Now onto the tips.I know how you like to start off with Smash (the Red one). You shouldn't unless you want to take extra knockback to avoid combos (like in Diddy/Sheik's case) because you do alot less damage and it makes it harder to combo. Jump (Green one) is good for falling faster + recovery, and doing quick aerials into combos. Speed (Blue, think Sonic, : P) is good for doing pivot grabs and combos. Shield is good for when you're at high percents, you take less knockback and damage, although if you get blasted to the side of the screen, you want to de-activate the Shield arte ASAP. Since you become really slow, you barely move at all, and that makes it almost impossible to recover, so you need to press B 3 times as soon as you're off the stage, then you can jump back and recover. You already know that Buster (Purple) does more damage and Smash does knockback, so i won't go into those. With Shulk, he has alot of combo potential, mostly with grabs and his Neutral Air, so you'll wanna take advantage of that, and his range to do combos like Neutral air into Down tilt/Forward Tilt, or into a Smash Attack. Or just using Buster and doing U tilt, since it does less knockback so it makes it easier to combo. THose are my tips, here's a guide if you want to look at that also can help you get better at Shulk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9tfusGfnLo

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted December 18, 2014 I actually don't use Shulk's Monado Arts according to ideal strategies. I use Speed to get in a single first hit (if it lands). Smash can KO at a very early percentage depending on your stage position. Gaur Plain for example: A quick Speed Dash Attack should put your opponent near the border of the stage (Speed seems to add a bit of knockback to the dash attack). Simply switching to Smash and using anything from your Smash Attacks or just Air Slash will get an early KO (Most people I play with haven't dodged both slashes). Of course, a nice combo to air + Air Slash always feels more than amazing. 1 Reyn reacted to this
