Basically, Dr. Mario fights exactly like his melee version(except no l-canceling, :P). He has the Spin dash(or whatever its called) as a down special, and the pill as a normal special.

Dark Pit's only real difference from Pit(besides re-colored attacks and such) is that he has the electroshock arm over the upperdash arm, but it basically does the exact same effect and looks the same when he uses it. He might have different orbitars but we dont know yet. His Final Smash...No clue, looking forward to see what Sakurai did with that, it could be the only original thing about him.

I think Dark Pit's final smash might differ since Dark Pit never wore the Three Sacred Treasures in Uprising

Maybe it'll be something related to Pandora

Here is an interesting bit of news

Nothing is confirmed yet so don't get excited or go apeshit until we see official words regarding how this will work

I was just about to share this. haha

I hope the linking part isnt true. I don't want to buy it for 3ds so id be missing out on some characters.

This would be nice. Too bad no news on the missing Brawl vets. and IC, but if Mewtwo can come back, they have a chance for DLC at least.

Holding off until we get solid proof (And the fact they mention Ridley and Chorus Boys makes me especially skeptical), but I like that concept.

Doesn't look like they changed much of Dark Pit's moveset from the original Pit.

Edit: And now SMash bros run is confirmed to not support online play. I'm a little sad to hear this news. But whatever, I'm still going to enjoy the game.

Well,it's a bit of a bummer but I'm not bothered for one specific reason

I know most of the Smash fanbase online will play "For Glory" all the time so Smash Run would be empty

And speaking of online,I can't wait until I wreck all of you guys in October 3rd ^_^

Smash bros for 3DS will be getting a patch on September 12:

Nintendo will release a patch for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS on September 12 that updates boxed copies of the game to version 1.0.1. If you download the game from the Nintendo eShop you’ll have version 1.0.1 already installed

The patch enables online play and adds a feature called Conquest which kicks off on September 15, the Monday after Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS launches in Japan. From time to time, when you play a "With Anyone" battle online you’ll trigger a Conquest Battle. The winning brawler’s character will earn points for the online conquest chart.

There are only three characters in a conquest at any time, so in this example above Mario, Link, and Bowser are in a conquest event. If you play as Mario and win, Mario’s conquest rating will go up for all players. Everyone that earned points for the winning conquest character will earn prizes like customization items or in-game gold.

Pic of the day. This is the World Status you can see in Spectator mode. The game isn't released yet so the map looks pretty plain now, but I wonder what it'll look like once it's out? Also, this is where you can see all sorts of stats being tallied up. In Group play and Spectator mode, you can see characters you haven't unlocked yet, so watch out if you don't want to be spoiled.

Even if you don't want to be spoiled, it might be wise to select the Online option at least once before you start the game. Your Global Smash Power won't appear until the first time you connect to the internet. Not only that, but there could potentially be a patch available that can resolve potential issues, like the one being released now for the Japanese version of the game. For the package version, updates can be pre-downloaded to your system even before you purchase the game, so make sure you look out for them.

Dangit if I didn't spend 200 of my coins I would've remained platinum Please if any of you guys got four codes can you give me one? please please

Your rank remains if you've already made it there. The thing is, they reset the ranks after the Platinum Rewards each year. I think they're going off of that, so we still have our chances.

Ooh I guess my Platinum status didn't go to waste then. I hope I get the code soon.

Hope's the best any of us can do. It's only a chance, as not everyone is getting them, just a select few.

We’re sending this demo to Club Nintendo members like you who achieved Platinum Status between 7/1/2013 and 6/30/2014, registered any Nintendo 3DS product, and chose to receive information from Nintendo at Club Nintendo. Hurry—all codes for this special demo must be redeemed by Sept. 19. Enjoy!

I dun see why 4 codes to select platinum members is necessary. Why not just give each platinum member a single code?

Because some people share accounts with family, so I could give codes to my brothers. It's also good if you have friends who didn't get Platinum, so you can give them a code and play together.

Still doesn't seem necessary. All of my friends want to wait until I have the Wii U version. (That's just personal speaking, but that's besides the point I'm putting out there.) The thing is, if they're giving it to Platinum Members, they deserve the fullest of the opportunity instead of being one of the few who are basically told they're not worth the time and money they spent on everything.

I GOT THE CODE I GOT THE CODE OOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD I GOT THE CODE I'[M SCREAMING LIKE A LITTLE BITCH NOW OMG

Got plans for the extras?
