I've been thinking about it... It's tough to believe that the game's going to be released in a little over a month now, and in just two weeks in Japan. I'm excited to play it and all, but the hype's honestly been half the game for me. I don't know that I'll ever have a game that gets me this excited over two minute clips and screenshots ever again. : Kinda crazy to think that it's coming to an end so soon. It's been a fun ride on the hype train, and I'll miss it.

There's always the next gen Smash for when you're like 25. xD

Well... Yeah, but that's going to be a long time from now. xD I'm going to miss having a game that gets me this excited.

Same, unless gender options and some form of customization gets added to the new Zelda, then of course I'll be stoked while thousands of others misunderstand the new concept addition to a franchise they barely understand it's literal history for.

I'd like to see that happen in Zelda, although I doubt it would get me as excited as Smash Bros. Smash Bros is pretty much what got me into Zelda, Metroid, and all those other Nintendo games (Aside from Pokemon and Mario, of course). I think that's part of why I'm so excited about the new game, Smash Bros is pretty much what made me the gamer I am today. The next Pokemon generation might do the trick for me, but I'm kinda doubting that.

Or...

Pokemon, where they add a tiny tiny thing that sets off an uproar, such as changing shiny colours, or giving/taking moves off Pokemon.

Though...the chances of being struck by lightning and living is higher than that happening in pokemon.

I'm a Zelda fan first, so for me, it's no doubt it'll get me extremely hyped, especially with the 0.00001%  chance anything of the sort will ever happen.

Pic of the day. This time, you can challenge every fighter in All-Star Mode from the moment you turn on the game!! This is a survival battle with limited recovery items and no option to continue. However, this mode will be incomplete until you've unlocked every fighter... Until then, you can only play against characters that are already available. This is a picture of the bottom-screen menu, with a padlock indicating that the mode is still incomplete.

Posted Image

All-Star Mode is available from the start. However, it is incomplete until you have unlocked every character unlocked.  You face the characters in order of their chronilogical order of debuts, rather than in order of their series.

In these battles, multiple opponents appear in one stage, and you clear the battle by defeating a number of them. The rest area that appears between battles displays the next opponents and the year the characters made their first appearances, and it also holds recovery items and an occasional reward. The characters you fight against appear pretty much in chronological order. Behold, the history of Nintendo games!!

I really love how the characters are arranged in All-star mode by their chronological order of release ^_^

This pretty much sums it up for me

There has never been a game that made me this hyped ever since Smash Bros Brawl

Nope, not even the KH3 announcement was even close to the hype that Smash 4 generated inside me

But hey,we still have things to hype ourselves with a liiiiiiittle bit longer with the unrevealed modes for the Wii U version

Shulk was 2010, right? I hope some people dun get confused with things like that. I'm pretty sure the debut years listed will be their official first debut, so with Shulk it'd be 2010, rather than 2011/2012.

Also - Just a random gif. (it's going in a spoiler as it really belongs in Random, it's just not worth the thread)

Well, with Mother reps. in Brawl they didn't arrange them by debut, they arranged them by when Mother 1 was release, in 1989. If they did it by release, Ness would be 1994 and Lucas would be '06. I'm sure Shulk will be 2010 though, unless they use when the first Xeno game's release date as the placeholder for his debut.

This new All Star mode sounds really cool, but I don't like that it's unlocked from the start, even if it's incomplete. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Robin and Lucina would be the last two characters fought in it, right? Just out of who we've seen now.

Also, please tell me we'll make some spoiler policy for when the game is released in Japan? I want to keep the secret characters secret, until I can play the game for myself.

Yeah, Shulk would be right before them. Then again, Villager could be last, if they take from Animal Crossing New Leaf? Unless New Leaf came out before Awakening.

They arranged them by series debut in Brawl. In the new Smash it's the debut of each character. So the first character you'll challenge in the completed All-Stars mode will be Pac-Man.

No, it's based on the Character's debut, not the series/game's debut.  Villager would be like 2001 as he/she has been the playable main character since Animal Forest debuted in Japan on the N64 in 2001. Most of us, including myself (having looked it up), dun know this fact, because we weren't introduced to the series until Animal Forest was ported to the Gamecube as Animal Crossing in 2004. Yes the first Animal Crossing we got was a remaster of the N64 title.

Greninja would be the last one, being from a Pokemon game released late 2013. Robin and Lucina are earlier than Greninja, though I believe they're also 2013.

Actually the debut of Robin and Lucina was 2012 in Japan.

I can actually imagine that being how it will go.

Pac-man being first and Greninja last isn't that hard to imagine, especially putting you at imagining playing.

So the order would be(not counting what point in a year in order that certain games came out, only the year):1980: Pac Man, Game and watch(if he comes back)1981: Mario, Donkey Kong1983: Luigi(His first appearence was in the 1983 Arcade Super Mario Bros. as the person P2 would be, his first appearence in a console game was Super Mario Bros. 2, but this arcade was technically his first real appearence)1984: Little Mac, Duck Hunt Dog(if he is in)

1985: Peach, Bowser1986: Pit, Palutena, Link, Zelda, Samus 1987: Mega Man1990: Marth, Yoshi, Captain Falcon, Dr. Mario(technically, his game debuted in 1990, even if he is still Mario)1991: Sonic1992: Kirby, King Dedede1993: Fox(Starfox SNES debut), Falco(If he comes back), Wolf(If he comes back), Meta Knight1994: Ness(JP release), Diddy Kong1996: Charizard, Pikachu, Jigglypuff1998: Sheik, Ganondorf2001: Villager(Thanks Hero of winds), Olimar2002: Toon Link(JP release), Bowser Jr.(if the leak is real)

2004: Zero Suit Samus

2005: Ike2006: Lucas (if he comes back), Lucario 2007: Wii Fit Trainer (Wii Fits release in JP)2010: Shulk2012: Robin, Lucina, Dark Pit(If the Leak is real)2013: Greninja *Not adding Mii Fighters, cause they probably wont be in this mode

Correction:Bowser appeared in 1985 in Super Mario Bros on the NES

He never made an appearance before this since before Bowser,Mario's Nemesis was Donkey Kong

Same goes with Peach as Pauline appeared before her in the Donkey Kong Arcade game so Peach is also in 1985

All the ifs are legit. The leak has been proven real, no sense in denying it anymore.

There're actually many things to fix for that order.

Peach and Bowser have already been marked as 85. Mario debuted in Donkey Kong. Peach and Bowser didn't exist until Super Mario Bros on the NES.

I'm not sure about Zelda (actually she appears in the list of completed fights right next to Link in the second pic for the pic of the day), but Ganondorf may be 98, as he didn't debut as Ganondorf until Ocarina of Time (then again they could work off of Ganon [namesake for his beast form] instead). They also use Ganon as a short hand name for Ganondorf in The Wind Waker. A lot of the time they used Ganon to refer to Ganondorf. Ganon however is a beastly form and should never be used to refer to Ganondorf himself.

The maybe part saves you on ZSS, but I believe she'll be marked by the Zero Mission debut, as that's the game she had her major debut in.

Ok, that's true, but i guess i'll only believe the Roster part when i see Ness, or the game's footage itself. : Its probably real though. Also, Wolf and Lucas aren't confirmed yet, so not sure if they're coming back. I forgot to add IC now that i bring that up though.

Ok then, i'll fix those parts.

Got it, i'll fix that, i heard just a few minutes ago that it was in 04.

EDIT: K, guys, its fixed. :)

Yeah, but Shulk's gameplay matches the leaked videos and his icon matches the tile from the roster screen leak, so I've no reason to doubt that part. Lucas and Wolf are true though, we've got nothing on knowing if they're in or not.
