Dio Brando 5,810 Posted July 8, 2014 Needed to rant about this, but I'm pissed off about how Sakurai's handling Palutena. I actually really wanted her to be in, but he's playing favorites with her since he did Uprising and managed to make her the most OP character in Smash history, judging from these screenshots. Sakurai's one of my favorite game developers ever, I'm still incredibly excited about this game, and I really respect the guy, but it's really bothering me that he's picking favorites. So much for balancing the game... Ummm how?If Sakurai would play favorites on anything it'll be Kirby since he created Kirby the whole he buffed Palutena because Kid Icarus Uprising is just speculation man Heck we don't have the game yet and I was just joking about her being Meta Knight Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Not to mention he went all out with her trailer, even making part of it in the style of Palutena's Revolting Dinner. Yeah she looks OP but still we need to play as her to actually see and it's kinda early for anger True, but still, i'm pretty sure he basically feels like it's one of his own franchises by now since he added so many things to it with Uprising, he expanded the world of Kid Icarus way beyond what was in the original 2 games. Besides, who else is gonna pick up Kid Icarus as a franchise at this point? No one bothered to make a sequel for it for 25 years, it might aswell be Sakurai's at this point, especially considering he can literally go back and make another game for it at any time he wants. True, i agree with this. Not to mention, alot of people thought most of the newcomers were OP, and then we got the Smash 4 demo and saw that it wasnt the case and that they were balanced among the roster. Turns out he's actually one of the very few characters you can't just pick and do good with. Ok, i think we're gonna get more than 6 outfits/palette swaps per character this game. Pac-Man's up taunt is known as Namco Roulette! Namco characters from the 1980s will randomly appear. However:Notice that something stands out here? That's because that character is actually fairly recent. Be prepared for an announcement based around this specific point he brought up in the post. See? There's a variety of characters. Huh? One of them looks pretty recent. I'm guessing this is a hint at Chorus Men. One, the art style is the same. Two, the character we're looking at is Taiko from Taiko Drum Master. If the name isn't enough for you to guess what it is, Taiko Drum Master is a Rhythm based game, as is Rhythm Heaven. Also both titles were made for the Wii.
