Kingdom Hearts 3 skipped A WHOLE GENERATION OF PLAYSTATION.

As much as i love the HD remix's, i can't help but feel that PS3 got really cheated out of having A NEW KH TITLE. But nope, the first 2 numbered titles are for PS2, and then the next numbered title skips PS3 and goes straight to PS4. Not to mention, Nomura planned on putting KH3 and FF XV on PS3, until PS4 came out of nowhere and ruined that. Now KH is going to forever be a game series that is widely spread out among consoles. If it wasn't for PS4, we could've fixed that, but now its been screwed over forever in that respect.

I was surprised about this as well...But since I was getting a PS4 anyways, I'm actually extremely happy they're putting it on PS4 instead since the graphics are going to be SO much better than if they decided to put it on the PS3. Now I don't have to question "but what will KH look like on PS4..." haha.The worlds and environments are going to be BEAUTIFUL! The Realm of Darkness being one of them, since I'm 90% sure that's going to be a playable world. I can't wait. D:If it was on PS3, the character's facial expressions probably wouldn't be as natural. Now we get pretty much on-par with CGI graphics. (Almost)On PS3, I'd immagine it'd be only a little better than 3D's graphics. Unacceptable! lol

well you don't have to buy the PS4 for just KH3 if that is the only reason, so far for me from what I have seen it's only InFamous Second Son and now KH3 that are the reasons I want a PS4 but will have to see in the future.

I want the PS4 for KH3, FF XV, and Infamous SS. I just didn't want to have to get it so soon so the price can drop. But now its looking like KH3 and FF XV will be some of the earliest titles for PS4, meaning ill have to get it sooner to play them.

Dude, your talking to a guy who bought most if his consoles specifically for a single KH game. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one either. You get no sympathy from me. Besides he never actually said it was PS4 exclusive. We're just assuming that because it was announced during the PS4 event.

Am I the only one remembering that there's no official confirmation that it's EXCLUSIVE? It's not. It says it comes out for PS4... but they don't say exclusively for the PS4.

 

They might have only mentioned the PS4 release because that was the focus of this E3. It might very well be multi-console across PS3, and maybe even the X1 and WiiU.

 

I wouldn't put stock in that idea, but it's not completely outside the realm of what's possible.

He also never explicitly stated that KH3 would be for the PS3. Everyone just assumed it would be because that was the "current gen" at the time. It probably wasn't even in development until after the PS4 was announced.

 

I'll say this plainly.

 

Kingdom. Hearts. Three. Was. Never. For. The. PlayStation. Three.

 

Oh, and IDK where you live, but some some states (in the U.S. at least) allow kids to get part-time jobs as young as 14.

I  have to admit, your explanation makes so much sense. Alright fine, ill accept it. But im still a little pissed that now i have to save up alot of money for that, when im only a 13 year old kid, who can't get a job or anything. I have to hope for birthday money and stuff like that. Im not like most of you guys who are in high school and college, who can get a job and easily afford a PS4 and the games. Not to mention my dad might not let me get one since i JUST GOT the PS3. I was hoping PS4 would be backwards compatible so i could sell my PS3, but i can't do that either. There's so many great games for PS3 i want to get, and i was hoping XV and III would be some of them, so i wouldn't have to get a PS4. Now i have to cancel some of the games i was going to get so i can get a PS4 and KH3 and XV. Im just a little mad about that now.

 

Now i can't get Ni No Kuni, or Tales of Xillia. Im probably only gonna be able to get the X collection, and the HD ReMIXs for PS3. And LR: FF XIII, since i have to save money now. Pfft. Thanks alot Nomura, you really helped.

Flaming Lea is speaking the TRUTH right now. PREACH! But seriously, no one's making you buy it. By the time it comes out, the PS4 will probably be available SOMEWHERE for at least $50 less. You have 2 years to save $400, I'm pretty sure that's doable. Or you have two years to beg your parents to pitch in at least a little if saving that much money is going to be completely impossible for you.

You're not alone. I currently have a PSP with just Birth by Sleep, a 3DS with just Dream Drop Distance, and a PS3 with just the future HD 1.5/2.5 Remixes. (Although I'll probably buy other games- but that was the REASON behind buying it.) There's no way after all of this money, I'm going to let $400 stop me now. I'm determined. Plus, the PS4 looks like it'll be good beyond just Kingdom Hearts III.
