Tails 6,692 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) What are your thoughts on Microsoft's E3 conference. I have to say, the conference was NOT all that interesting. As always, Microsoft's E3 Conference was not all that interesting to me. Well okay, I'll admit that a few things peeked my interest. One being the new Metal gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer and the other being Dead Rising 3. Other than that, Microsoft's conference was meh. All we saw was more typhical shooters and slashing games. And my thoughts on Rare's Killer Instince. That game looks like a copy and paste of Street Fighter. Lol of course Microsoft can't come up with their own ideas. The game did not interest me in the slighrest. Now as for the official price of the Xbox One. I have to say, that is WAY OVERPRICED. There is no way I am shelling out 500.00 for that peice of crap of a console with it's crappy features and exclusives. This is almost as bad as PS3's original price. But hey, now people won't complain about the Wii U being "over priced" lol. Now everyone will be nitpicking and complaining about the Xbox One's price and demand for a price drop. SO all in all, way to go Microsoft. You sure know how to keep people away from your gaming systems lol. Let's give Microsoft a big round of applause for screwing up this conference once again -claps hands-.. Now what are my thoughts on Battlefield 4? Well, my thoughts are: It's another shooter. I mean the graphics do look great but the gameplay looks the same as any other Battlefield game. So that didn't interest me at all to be honest. Same could be said about the other shooters they showed. But overall i give this conference a rating of 3/10 for showing of generic shooters, copy paste games, and bad price of the Xbox One. But with a few interesting games. Edited June 10, 2013 by Tails 3 OmegaForte, 143436611Xxcc and Deadpool reacted to this

Rob 5,571 Posted June 10, 2013 Wasnt that bad of a conference. It was a 5 at best. It was cool seeing Metal Gear Solid V: Red Dead Redemption. lol FOUR NINETY NINE!
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted June 10, 2013 Only games that caught my attention were Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, and of course Halo. The Halo trailer was actually pretty cool IMO but as it's on the Failbox One, I won;t be getting it. Not until at least the 24 hr check in is extended by at least a week. Deadpool 1,200 Posted June 10, 2013 Some things gauged my interests... but overall I didn't care much. I agree with most of what you said. I wish it was another miserable laughable conference this year, but instead we got a boring not so interesting one.

Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted June 10, 2013 I like Halo, and that one 'Project' thing seemed interesting, but most of the games seemed boring to me. Plus, a $499 starting price is a pretty big turn-off..
Wally 18 Posted June 10, 2013 Moar guns, blood n' guts. Also, no word at all about the DRM stuff. nope.avi Your move, Sony.

Amon 4,279 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) I really liked Project: Spark. Anyone that has played Spore and Dust will probably find it very interesting. Despite all of the faults of the Xbox One, the games it has going for it look pretty good. Obviously being a mostly Playstation community some people will hate everything just because it's on Xbox. The conference could have been more exciting but was pretty good overall. And the price really isn't that bad. Keep in mind that on launch the Playstation 3 was 400 to 600 dollars. The Xbox One being 500 dollars even with inflation isn't really bad. You're probably not going to see any better from Sony too. Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) From what I watched in Microsoft conference, I think it was.... meh. After hearing about the One being online 24/7 and license checkings as well as the price. All hope for microsoft is lost. I'll be surprised about how many idiots would buy this system. Onto the games. I'm gonna say that most games were allright for a xbox one. Some are corny and some are cool. I'm considering switching from CoD to Battlefield, but I'm getting concerned. We heard nothing about the multiplayer features which kinda ticks me off. I only liked Dead Rising 3. That was the awesome thing I saw during the conference. Loved the gameplay, features, and it feels very different than the previous games, but after seeing that it's an Xbox one exclusive, I wanted to go to my shed and get my sledgehammer and smash the TV. $500 DOLLARS!? Microsoft! GO HOME! YOU'RE DRUNK! also Not much info about the new 360 only it's slimmer quieter and available now... meh, I gotta start hunting for an inexpensive Ps3. Also the microsoft points system is going down as soon as the Xbox one launches, which is neutral to me for the currency system will remain the same anyways. ($20-1600 MSP) being an owner of the Xbox 360 with gold membership, (which I will be renewing again for the last time) I liked the idea of getting some free games per month. I'm getting into assassin's creed, so I'm gonna buy AC1 and download AC2 for free. I have no interest in Halo games for getting into Halo is not what I wanna do. This free games per month process will start on July 1. As I said, There are some good points and lots of bad points in the conference, but we still have a whole week ahead of us. Let's see what EA, UBISOFT, and our End Game, Sony, has for us today. Hey any info about Pokemon X and Y? I wanting to see more details about it during the E3. (OMG this is the longest review I ever done) Edited June 10, 2013 by Xamtweth-ReMIXed
Geralt 4,874 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) It was awesome! I don't see why everyone is complaining of a stinking 500 bucks. Catch it on the damn Christmas sale at Gamestop/Amazon or whatever store for Pete's sake! All consoles cost around that much when they come out these days. Get over it. Plus with all the new expensive technology put into it of course it'll be that much. Plus it comes with a kinect. If you expect expensive tech such as hard drives, graphic cards, cpu to be cheap well good luck with that thought. But other than all that the conference was definitely awesome. Definitely interested in that Ryse game, it looks badass! It's like a Roman Battlefield/COD Edited June 10, 2013 by Rainbow Dash 1 theultimatesorafan reacted to this
Kurama 171 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Well I ENJOYED the conference! I agree the price of the Xbox One is a bit to expensive, more expensive of what I thought it would be but people can just wait a few months! But the games were very good apart from that street fighter copy. Ryse looked EPIC! Columned-Munny 274 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) I thought the whole thing was a little forced, like Microsoft didn't really want to be catering to gamers anymore. The crowd was more enthusiastic, but the Xbox One still doesn't feel like a "game system" to me. Halo was a pleasant surprise, and Project Spark looked interesting. Other than that...I don't know, nothing really grabbed me. Don't get me wrong, the demos were cool. Almost nothing made me more interested than I already was, and that wasn't very much to begin with. The price is almost certainly Kinect's fault. $499 isn't shocking, but it doesn't help. I thought they would've come out with a subsidized model or something. The real problem is I didn't see anything at that conference that made me think "wow, THAT game is worth always online", nor one that made the required Kinect worth its extra price. The games for Xbox Gold members is great, and an obvious counter to PS+. It's unfortunate they're debuting the service with two of the oldest titles for the system that are also ones most 360 owners probably have already played or owned at some point. EDIT: Apparently the service is temporary, something leading up to the launch of the new system. All in all, I'd give the conference a 6.5/10. The Metal Gear stuff at the beginning looked great. Unless something changes, I'll probably be playing it on the PS4. Edited June 10, 2013 by Columned-Munny
dusk 910 Posted June 10, 2013 Conference wasn't completely bad. It was actually better than I thought it would be First 360: Phantom Pain and Dark Souls 2 had both really good trailers, but those games aren't exclusives so I aren't any reason for me to get 360. It is good thing that Gold members get 2 free games per month like PS+ players get. It is cool to see World of Tanks coming for consoles Then Xbox One: It seems to have quite strong lineup of games. Ryse looked kinda fun, but what bothered me was the fact that those guys pulled spears from their asses. Killer Instinct looks quite cool fast paced fighter, but I am not too big on this genre so I just cross my fingers on this one for now. (I like announcer's voice) Sunset Override looked the most interesting game, fast paced parkour + fun looking graphics Forza 5, meh doesn't interest me. I am not big on realistic driving games Minecraft, I really don't care about it, but I take PC version any day over that Witcher 3, amazing as always Battlefield 4, for FPS veteran like me, huge disappointment Halo 5.. not fan of Halo, sorry guys Titan Fall, I have waited something from Respawn for while and this isn't really what I expected, but it looks cool and I have my hopes up for this. Dead Rising 3, looking good, but I am little bit fed up with zombie games so I don't know how to feel about this Quantum Break looks like something unique and something to look forward to Price of 500€ is quite salty for me Overall I think that Microsoft performed decently, but they aren't gonna top Sony and Nintendo with this
Hei 3,233 Posted June 10, 2013 Conference definitely made up for the lackluster XboxOne reveal conference. Tons of games that looked cool, too bad the thing costs 500 bucks

143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted June 10, 2013 I feel like all I saw was shooters, shooters, a street fighter knock-off, an Assassins Creed mixed with Skyrim game, boring games, generic games, and a trailer for Halo that looked like an adult version of Journey
Oishii 3,987 Posted June 10, 2013 I was amused they brought a female announcer for the Halo reveal. Women can't be protagonists on XBox games, but they can look nice on a stage for a conference.
baylaust 2,531 Posted June 10, 2013 I will give credit where credit's due: Microsoft surprised me with this conference, and in a good way. I was more than happy to see it focus so much on the games (and not Kinect like that last 3 damn years), and they did a solid job with several solid, and surprising, announcements. Is it enough for me to forgive the Xbox One and purchase it? Well, it still has its issues, as well as dat price ($500? Ouch.), so probably not, but still, well done Microsoft. You partially made up for that abysmal announcement a few weeks ago. Partially. 1 Oishii reacted to this
Miaka 16 Posted June 12, 2013 It was meh, but what got my excitement was Dark Souls II. It looked so hard, harder then Demon's Souls! I can't wait for it!!
