What Video Game Should I Buy?

I had an Xbox 360 back in 2005 but went totally dead on January 2008. Do you guys think I should get an Xbox 360 despite the fact the Next-Gen is coming out in a year or so? I never get to play games like :-

 

- Gears of War 2 & 3

- Halo 4 is coming out and I got to finish Halo 3 right before my 360 went dead.

- Forza 3 & 4

- Halo Reach

- Some XBLA games

 

If you guys think I should go get it, What kinect games should I buy aside from Dance Central.

if you want my opinion, then no. I hate the Xbox 360 and only semi-like a few of the exclusives. but, that's my opinion. you should get it, if you really want it. i think that maybe you should wait, until more info. on the "Xbox 720" is released. considering it may only use download games and it's possible they'll eliminate backwards compatibility. i doubt it, but it's possible.

X-box live is very expensive. The X-Box is a nice console, but it's just not worth the money. I only play it for Halo really, but overall, I have given up on the X-Box. Please save your money.

Well there are some great games coming out, and you can get one cheap now. If you're willing to pay for Xbox Live then yea, you should get it.

Well, I had a XBox 360 and I sold it to buy a Playstation 3, you know... Unchearted, God of War 3, Little Big Planet, the blu-ray driver...

But the 360 is such a good console, I've just sold it 'cause FFXIII Versus is coming and I do wanna play this game.

I think the Kinect is funnier than the PSmove to play with friends, games like Alan Wake, Halo, Gear of War are worth the money.

Star Wars for Kinect looks great and there are some others games too, there's a Disney one too.

If you don't care about the Sony exclusives and like to have fun with your friends, get a 360. If you're a very hardcore gamer, get a Ps3. That's my tip.

This is how I see it. Most X-box exclusive games are shooters, now if you are good at shooters and enjoy those kindas of games go get it. The PS3 seems to have every other type of genre games, sure the Xbox dose as well but not as much as PS3 exclusives, anyway they are both good systems and both have their flaws. but I would wiat to see what the next consle is about, I really hope none of the rumors are true on them other wise that would be stupid, oh well, but you can get one for cheep now i think like 200 maybe or even cheeper the only thing that seems to be the problem is Xbox live since you have a monthly fee for it, but do what you want, tahts just my take on it

It looks like you are into the type of games that are exclusives to XBox 360 so it would be worth it for you. However, I think it would be a good idea to wait for E3 to see what comes out about the new XBox. If it will have backwards compatibility, it may be more worth it to get that so you can get new games in the future. But it is really up to you and what you can afford and how long you can wait.

I don't really play multiplayer that much so I won't be buying the gold membership unless I'm playing with my friends. Yup! The exclusives got me hooked in again and I miss playing DOA4 which is sitting there in my cabinet for years. My favourite SHUMPS like Radient Silvergun and Ikaruga being an XBLA Exclusive really hit me hard. =(

 

Also most 360 3rd party games are 5$-10$ cheaper than the PS3 in my country which I don't know why but its cheaper and I'm ok with that. My country's pricing is weird to be honest. PS3 games being the most expensive, 360 being in the middle, and PC being the cheapest so yeah. =/

 

I'm currently finding 2nd hand 360 from my friends who knows where I can get one.

 

I'll be waiting for E3 for now and re-researching the 360 game catalog and see how it goes. I have the money that I've saved for quite a while and I'll wait.

Alright I will soon be able to finally, after 6 years, buy an X-box 360! But, I wonder what if Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out on PS3, I wont be able to play it, but my friends all have Xbox. Also my brother wants the PS3 for the Blu-ray, and to get some of our old PS2 games. Which one should I buy? It's a hard decision, and I wont be able to make it without your guys help. I would buy a PS3 because of the games that are available for that system. Not to mention the awesome HD graphics and Blu- Ray player. If you want to play PS2 games on your PS3 you will have to buy a first generation PS3, which are hard and expensive to find. I almost bought a PS3 thinking I could play Kingdom Hearts on it, until someone told me that I couldn't.

I would say a PS3, because of KH3 and because of all the possible HD remakes. not to mention that the xbox is bound for another installment at any time, you probably would not get much use out of it.
