A mystery 346 Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) Windows 8 made my laptop's functions malfunction, and my laptop isn't that old. I had to switch back to Windows 7 in order to get my laptop to work properly again. Then again, me and technology have never really got along that well. Edited June 6, 2013 by beadprincess 1 FireRubies1 reacted to this
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted June 6, 2013 So, is this going to be a free update to the current Windows 8? I'm hoping so, as it looks to have really improved the OS.
Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted June 6, 2013 My only problem is that Windows 8 is trying hard to make touchscreen and desktop computing one whole things. I'd rather stick to Windows 7, even if the update brings some better things to the table.
WhiteCrow 55 Posted June 6, 2013 Windows 8... The whole thing is designed to work best with touchscreen computers, I dun't liek it!
Sora96 17,256 Posted June 6, 2013 Windows 8... The whole thing is designed to work best with touchscreen computers, I dun't liek it! I have Windows 8 but don't have a touchscreen and it's firetrucking amazing. Best OS ever. It's so fast, I have had no issues with it and I use my computer a lot. Yeah it's fast all right, the second computer in my house is Windows 8. But I just can't get a grip of it. Maybe because there's no 'Start' icon in the corner of the screen, feels weird, and some functions are just too complicated or useless, something you don't need on a computer I guess. I like still prefer Windows 7.
dusk 910 Posted June 6, 2013 ehh Windows 8 has become better after they fixed some stupid bugs when it came out, but I don't really like how it looks. At first glance it was cool, but I prefer simpler design of Windows 7. Don't really see it being any faster, depends on computer and how much you have stuff on hard drives. Design isn't much different in terms of the desktop. It's definitely faster. I've seen it make shitty old netbooks that ran Windows 7 a lot faster.
