Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted June 5, 2013 I was very... VERY... disappointing in this game. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it's not... Kingdom Hearts-y enough... I mean, granted, the gameplay was excellent and fun, but the story was... executed poorly. Even the Disney Worlds stories felt downed a bit. I mean, I guess I only feel this way because I'm comparing it too my favorite, the original Kingdom Hearts. I mean, that was THE perfect game. It was the first Ps2 game I ever played. KH2 was awesome too, and so was Re:CoM... but when I play KH3D... I am overwhelmed with disappointment. I remember playing KH and thinking "Wow, that's cool." but when I played KH3D, I never had that moment. I never found it remotely touching. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 had tons of epic and touching moments, like Sora realizing Riku was fine, and the 1000 Heartless battle. With KH3D, we just get "I'm always there." which is the same thing we got from Reverse/Rebirth. I don't know, but sometimes, I feel like it's not even a KH title. It's like it was made by some completely different people... anyways, I've been wanting to tell you guys that because so many of you love KH3D and ask me why I don't... so... bring on the sh*tstorm. 6 FireRubies1, Rob, RoxSox and 3 others reacted to this
FireRubies1 1,325 Posted June 5, 2013 I actually reaally didn't like this game either it was fun and all in my first playthrough but I don't want to even touch this game ever again. I feel like when you already know the plot, there's nothing to come back for. I guess the gimmicks were cool and all,but doesn't make the game muuch better o3o 2 Shard the Gentleman and PublicLibraryx reacted to this

HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) Well I thoroughly enjoyed this game bc Lea is back and badass in this game so yeah that's awesome .I loved the gameplay too but I had a few problems with liking the plot and it also seemed to contain a lot of glitches.. I hate time travel and it felt cliche so overall that really disappointed me . Over time i got over that but i can see where others would find flaws too. I love KH2 and BBS more but i still would get this game over again and enjoy it .I just accept it's flaws. Demyx. 10,064 Posted June 5, 2013 I love it. I'm more about if I find a game to be fun more than anything. I think DDD is really fun. So that's all that matters to me. 4 Kello, Nafees Rahman, luka and 1 other reacted to this
Hei 3,233 Posted June 5, 2013 It was a good game, just felt like it was rushed at points so it's kinda ehhh at times
RoxSox 3,593 Posted June 5, 2013 I'm tempted to agree. I do think it felt like a Kingdom Hearts game... the music, setting, and writing all lends itself towards that. And while I did enjoy the actual elements of the story... time travel, the revelation regarding the nobodies... I felt like the way those ideas were ultimately delivered was disappointing. 1 luka reacted to this

mosokisa 93 Posted June 5, 2013 I also didn't like the plot. When I first time read 3D topics here I was a bit shocked that everybody liked it so much. At first I didn't like the game AT ALL, but now I've managed to just accept everything, though some things still do irritate me when I watch the cutscenes. Like Lea.. I can see why people can like him in 3D but for me he was too different from Axel and he was too heroic and all. And many of the characters had irritating voice acting. And I felt like the disney world had even less to do with the main plot than normally. But I still like the game and there's things that I like a lot in it and I've accepted the things I did find to be the most irritating things in it by now. But I agree with you of it being less kingdom hearts-y than many other games. I hope KH3 will be more like the other games.

Whimsy-Mimsy 99 Posted June 5, 2013 I hated the fact that Riku and Sora's friendly rivalry was lost completely, which made all of the 'touching' scenes seem hollow, because they both seemed too corny and buddy-buddy. I mean, I know they're really good friends, but in KH1, even in the beginning, you got the feeling that although they were really close, they still tried to show off and beat each other whenever they could. Eh, all I can do for now is hope that KHIII fixes the disappointment I feel in my heart... 2 Shard the Gentleman and NO_HEART_XIII reacted to this
NO_HEART_XIII 312 Posted June 6, 2013 I have mixed feelings. No game can compare to the first Kingdom Hearts, that's a given. This is the 7th game, so maybe we are just getting used to it or something. KH is the only game that has ever touched my heart and made me feel something, but how long can it do that? 3D still had the element of suprise, which is what keeps the story going, all the twists and what not, I LOVE it! 3D lacked in emotion, I think that is the issue. Every game seems to get less and less emotional. I miss the effect it had on my emotions, but it still had every other good aspect of KH, like combat, graphics, story, suprises, ect... just not very much feeling. That's what I think anyway. I still liked the game & it progressed the story. I hated the fact that Riku and Sora's friendly rivalry was lost completely, which made all of the 'touching' scenes seem hollow, because they both seemed too corny and buddy-buddy. I mean, I know they're really good friends, but in KH1, even in the beginning, you got the feeling that although they were really close, they still tried to show off and beat each other whenever they could. Eh, all I can do for now is hope that KHIII fixes the disappointment I feel in my heart... I couldn't agree more! The best rivalries are between brothers/bestfriends. I miss Riku being on the darkside. 1 FireRubies1 reacted to this
Wittgenstein 3 Posted June 11, 2013 I just didn't like how the Tron world wasn't used to its greatest potential. However, I always love fighting Chernabog.
Eterna 274 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) The entire game was filler up until the end, and then Time travel was ham fisted into it just cuz.Time Travel is really cool in stories if done right, it can add a lot of complexity. But this was not done right, it felt unneeded and was poorly explained. It added nothing to the story. Honestly, I hated this game, it was the first Kingdom Hearts game I only went through once.
