Alright, we've still got to partner up and stuff. We're going to start in a week or so, that way people are out of school when we start.

Yep, you're in! We need at least one more before we can start, it would seem.

We could have a vote on the items, sure. I wasn't sure if people wanted them or not, so I just went in the middle and said low item drops. Also, I might have to call off teams, since we've got so few people. I'll try and make it work, I'm just warning you guys.

I vote for low items, as opposed to no items. Honestly, I think turning items off entirely means you're fighting in a sterile environment, and having them in means you have to stay on your toes.

It's been a long time since I played Brawl online, hows the connection for it? I might join if it's not too bad

It lags at times, nothing too terrible though. You could always try a practice match or two to decide, if you'd like.

No items. That rare Hammer or other items can get annoying.

Items suck, there are no skills involved by grabbing an hammer or a bomb that can randomly appeared right next to you and kill you're opponent in one hit.And the final smash are broken too.Random hazards like this have no place in tornaments if you ask me.

Ehh. I would have to disagree on the Smash Balls because often enough, unless you use a Transforming Final Smash, you can evade them.

It depends which Final Smash and that's why its broken, for exemple: Super Sonic can't be dodge if used well and Mario's Kamehameha is very easy to dodge. So if Sonic fights Mario,Sonic have more chance to win and because he's faster he have more chance to have the final smash.

And some of them are a lot less effective on big levels like Jigglypuff's or Donkey Kong,so if I'm fighting Jigglypuff, all I have to do is select New Pork City and pick Sonic and I pretty much won the game.

That's where a little more skill is involved. Knowing your character's strengths and weaknesses compared to the enemy's is a good thing. Mario is slower, but he has some good knock back effects, and the ever-loved Coin Punch packs a good wallop, and the advantage to large fields with Jiggly Puff's smash is that you can burn the Final Smash and keep Sonic from using his, and the fact Jiggly Puff has a 5(I think) Multi-jump and can get her around fast. It's 50% strategy and knowing your skills and weaknesses. I play Pit often enough, so I know his strengths and weaknesses. Pit is fast, has a 5 milti-jump, a flying mode, his Mirror Shield can block the Warlock Punch and the Falcon Punch with great knock-back pressure to the enemy. He has not too many knockback attacks outside his C-stick moves(I use a Gamecube controller, sue me) on the sides and down. His up C-stick has SOME knockback, but not much to be effective unless at high damage. He's a damage dealer, not a KOer. His Bow and Arrow can be directed with the Joystick, and the Arrow after being loosed can still be directed further with the Joystick. His Final Smash summons Paletenua's troops, who attack enemy's. They can be avoided by a low jump, the Block button(On occasion) any character with a dodge move or can multi-jump at least three times, or a fast mover with a lot of jump smash and special moves. Simple enough.

And now it's occurring to me: If I remember right, online doesn't have Smash Balls anyway.

Online has Smash Balls, you wouldn't believe how many times I have to deal with those. xD

By the way, I think that the Gamecube controller is commonly used. I used the Wii Remote and Nunchuck for years, but as soon as I got a Gamecube controller, I switched to that. It's a lot more comfortable, and the C-stick really helps with Smash attacks.

I'd like to start soon. We're really just waiting on everyone else to add in their friend codes.

Quote them!
