Aren't condoms like 50 cents each? Even the ones that are more than just protection only cost at most 2 dollars.

If you can't afford that, then you probably shouldn't be having sex. There's bigger problems you should address.

Even low-income teens are horny. And honestly, they're the ones who would be in most trouble if babies happened.

sex isnt just for reproduction and maybe people just want to have sex, theres no reason to bring children into the equationif you cant afford condoms but still want to have sex thats fine lmao sex == kids

The reason to bring children into the equation is because there's always a chance of pregnancy if you have sex, unless you've had your uterus removed or something, which really... isn't very common. It's not like I'm not aware of the fact that people have sex just to have sex. What I'm saying is, sex makes babies, and if you can't even afford condoms, you can't afford babies. You don't have to be trying to have a kid to have one. Why do you think teen pregnancy happens in the first place?

THIS.

Thats what a lot of teens don't get. You can still be using condoms AND be on birth control and still get pregnant. The condom can break, the pill isn't 100% effective. I don't understand what the rush is anyway. I mean, I lost my virginity at 16 so I can't say much.. but KIDS at 11, 12, 13 are having sex and getting pregnant. Like WTF be a kid first! It sickens me to be honest. There is just no reason to be that young and so promiscuous. Im all for having sex because its fun and enjoyable, but kids need to be kids. Not having them.

Lets all ignore the fact that back in the day when JAG's first seasons aired (when F-14s were not phased out and F-18 Hornets we're like. Prototype. Or when we actually had characters called Admiral Chedwiggin...) that the only way to get an STD (or AIDS...I think AIDS...) was through homosexual sex.Just.Saying.Note: I take it from my parents >.> the info.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but AIDS has never been picky enough to only infect gay people. That was just a rumor that sprung from an adverse reaction towards gay people in general, coupled with the fact that many (but not all) of the earliest cases were found to be in gay men.

I did leave a disclaimer I got the info secondhand. At least I was 70% right. Better then 80% wrong.

Sorry, I guess I overreact a bit when the gay community as a whole is pinpointed as the cause of a problem, when a simple google search could clear them of any blame.

It's fine. Personally, I was using that to burst someone else's bubble xDThe easiest way to avoid everything is to keep it in your pants until you're married. Then forget protection. But people hate waiting, when waiting makes it so much sweeter.

People are gonna have sex. Better to have condoms than nothing.

Teen pregnancies happen because lack of sex ed and accessibility to contraceptives lmaoBeing able to get condoms and birth control and other contraceptives as well as proper sex education would significantly lower teen pregnanciesThere's always a chance of pregnancy but people should be able to have sex either way and have access to contraceptives to avoid pregnancy and be allowed to take measures afterwards if the contraceptives fail

Nah the easiest way to avoid unwanted pregnancies and STDs is to have easy access to protection because youre not gonna stop people from having sex and the whole "wait till marriage" thing isnt a rly good thing to emphasize because it just gives more stigma towards sex with multiple partners and promotes the idea of making contraceptives harder to getpeople have sex when they want, with whoever they, with as many people as they want so lets make it safe and easypracticing safe sex is more effective than abstinence

And with proper sex ed, youd know that you can get HIV/AIDs from het sex, through blood and contaminated needles, and other bodily fluidsYou dont even have to have sex to get HIV, if an open woud comes in contact with conminated body fluids, infection is likely
