Weiss 8,279 Posted May 18, 2013 We all know the horrid minigames these guys have. Out of all of them though, which would you say is the most annoying to complete? For me number 8 is the most annoying. Having to successfully juggle that thing 99 times is much harder than it sounds. A close second would be Number 9 since that one requires a ton of button mashing. 1 Reyn reacted to this
Caity 3,946 Posted May 18, 2013 I was really confused there at first, but I'll have to wait til 2.5 to see which annoys me most.
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted May 18, 2013 I LOVE those minigames. Definitely one of my favorite sidequests in the series. The only one that had me a little frustrated was No.3 It drops the prizes in the most crazy of ways, you don't know when it's gonna change direction, you have to pick up practically all of them and if you haven't leveled up Sora's glide to max...well good luck! I don't even think it's possible without it.

Another (and my preferred method) is to keep dashing and sliding with wisdom form.

I just used regular Sora's glide (albeit at Max Level), didn't think to use final form. *feels stupid*

Keyblader 325 Posted May 20, 2013 I could explain each one but this is easier And here's a written version on what each does http://www.khwiki.net/Mushroom_XIII I like how during #4, Sora is basically fighting in a style that matches the music I've never actually played KH2FM, so I couldn't say. Jesus, I don't have Final Mix (Can't use an emu because lag ) but it sounds like the Rare Truffle has evolved and he came back to torture every KH player that didn't juggle him 100 times. Then again, these mushroom guys are optional (As far as I've read), so.. Who cares
Sonny Firestorm 0 Posted January 2, 2015 Number 8... Y u do dis to me Axel...? Seriously, all the other guys at least have an easier way if all you want is the journal mission (you usually need another solution to get S-rank and drop the premuim mushroom weapons for donald and goofy) Except for this azzhole! The others were (mostly) fun to do, challenging sometimes but the challenges felt fun because eventually you get them, but NOooo, 8 wants to be special and not let me pass... Ok, let me get more technical: The problem with this one starts past the 50 points mark, somewhere past this mark the bounce he would do upwards turns into him getting blasted half a room away. If you happen to have him cornered against a wall or you're at peak height he somehow get's blasted down and you're left with no way to fall fast enough. (and since thunder has a monster air recoil time you can hope work it out with magic either) anyone got an idea? PS I've been stuck at it for so long that my drive recovery stock is almost at 99... Who cares Yeah they're optional but if you want the gold crown, the platinum trophy, Winner Proof (overall best stats for a Keyblade yet useless ability) and D&G best weapons, you don't have to beat them but to make them clap you. Most of them are rather easy, others are a pain in the arse. It depends, for me the one in the Underworld was like impossible.

I can't it was hard, but i did waste a good 30 minutes, countless Ethers and final form to make it happen... Also, regarding Number 8, i'm starting to get the impression that NOT locking on makes slightly more forgiving... (or i'm going crazy)
Sonny Firestorm 0 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) UPDATE!!!! Not only i managed to get number 8's mission score, BUT I S-RANKED IT!!!! The thing that i changed this time around was removing the ability Combo Master. I'm not sure if that really was the problem, but it would make sense since Combo Master makes you ignore the enemy's state and keep hitting (likely why i kept bouncing away with master) Anywho, here's the stuff i had equiped when i got it: - Critical Mode Lv99 (just posting for the curious) - Keyblades Ultima Weapon (Main hand) (MP Hastega) Fatal Crest (Master Form) (Berserk Charge) - Abilities (that matter) Berserk Charge (if you're equiping Fatal Crest i guess it doesn't matter) 2 Form Boosts (I was using Master Form for this so i guess it matters knowing that i had all the time in the world) MP Haste MP Hastera No Experience (i got every level gauge maxed out, no reason to keep it OFF) Total MP Acceleration count: 150% (Ultima + Haste ability + Hastera ability) (no full blooms equiped) Method: Master Form, cast Curaga, start it, Lock-On, keep attacking (don't mash it, just press at a medium/fast pace) when you get your MP back cast Thunder (SHORTCUT IT!!!!!) until you're out again, if you're lucky you might be able to fit in a few more hits and get to 85 (or 99 if you're going for the S-rank) Edited January 3, 2015 by Sonny Firestorm

Daxam XXI 31 Posted January 5, 2015 VIII, VIII, VIII! This is the one I dread doing the most cause with the other mushrooms it's hard but I at least have a chance and a sense of satisfaction once I beat them but VIII is a WHOLE nother beast. I use Wisdom Form with the Fatal Crest keyblade and try to bounce him in the set of bushes before the tower itself so as to push him against a wall and shortcut Thundaga to gain me a little more air time then spam Wisdom Shot again once my MP is empty. Runner-up is III cause of those dang orbs you have to collect! I had an eaiser time doing it in Critical Mode than I did on Proud! I used both Wisdom Form for Slide MAX and Final for Glide MAX while haivng every single Draw ability I had including equiping "Follow The Wind" for it's Draw ability and I STILL had trouble with it! I finally managed it with just one orb over the amount needed to S-Rank it. The other mushrooms were easy but III and VIII will make you throw the controller in fustration. Bobanook 0 Posted January 6, 2015 Number 8. The damn thing gave me so much trouble because it would randomly fly off. Number 7 before it made me laugh though because I killed it in less than 2 seconds.
