And with that, the contact of another mind fades. Your eyes adjust to the darkness clinging to the nooks and crannies of the bare, cubic room you are now in. A heavy oaken door sits opposite you, leading to. . .what? Where are you? And what is that tingling in your hands? You have never felt it before. It feels like. . .power, just below the skin, ready to flow forth at your beckoning. Armed with newfound tingling and a resolve to return home, you stand.

Where was she? What was she doing here? These questions scanned through Komiko's mind. She simply stared at the white ceiling above. She needed to go back somehow. There would be nobody waiting for her if she went back however. Komiko turned over to her side, he kept her hands buried in her sleeves. Why did she feel so powerful all the sudden? Why did she feel different? What was just a few feet away from her...a door? Maybe it was a door, maybe a person, maybe an animal, mark by a shadow. It took her a second to realize that was just a door.

Komiko would never be able to see clearly now. She placed her hand on the ground, quickly leaning herself up. It took her a second to actually stand up, she straightened out her skirt and made sure her left eye wasn't showing. Komiko carefully made her way over to the door, gently placing her hand on the nob, she twisted the handle, opening the door rather quickly.

Darkness pressed in on James from every direction, making him unable to see even a few inches in front of his face. True he was used to being in odd situations from working in the military, but he was still quite confused as to what was happening, or where he was. However, it would've helped some if I could see more then two inches in front of my face, James thought bitterly.

 

Slowly the darkness lifted, and James was slowly able to make out a large oak door before him. The blonde tilted his head to the side, a slight frown on his face as he eyed the door. Now, the question was whether he should open it or not, he knew from experience that charging head-long into things wasn't always the best course of action. But still, it wouldn't do to just stay in the small room he currently resided inside of.

 

A slight frown worked its way onto James's face, he looked down at his hands, making them into fists. He felt an odd surge of power, perhaps a sort of magic, that he'd never experienced before. It was a rather neat feeling, but still, it was strange.

 

With a resigned sigh, James Heron made his way towards the door. He hesitated briefly before pushing the door open as silently as he could manage...

Shirosuke's eyes blinked open. He sat up and rubbed his head. "Wh-Where am I?" Something felt... Different. He felt stronger than usual. He felt... Colder than usual. Perhaps he was about to live up to his namesake.

Neisan opened his eyes. Where did the stairway go? He had just been tripping down it. He had screwed his eyes shut, and now it was dark everywhere. Have I hit my head? Neisan got up as his eyes gradually adjusted. A heavy oaken door stood opposite him. Neisan felt a. . .something, in his hands. Could. . .this be. . .magic? Neisan flicked his fingers in the manner he always did when pretending to have magic powers. A small flame conjured itself on his fingers. Oh yeah! Neisan called up three spheres of energy: one of fire, one of lightning, one of ice. He cast them at the door, blasting it off its hinges. It fell forward.

 

Inside the next room was. . . A strange being, seemingly a storm cloud. It turned towards you, blue eyes crackling with electricity. You will have to fight.

James poked his head out the door, his eyes scanning the next room carefully. Just as he was about to fully step into the room he spotted a strange cloud towards its center. He watched wide eyed as it turned towards him, he was rather shocked to see that it had eyes. Since when were clouds alive? But then, he'd never been able to use magic before and he was relatively certain that if he tried to now he would be able to.

 

Slowly and cautiously James stepped into the room, unsure whether or not the cloud would attack him. Once he was fully inside the room he became certain that he wouldn't walk away without a fight. James held out his palms, focussing as hard as he could on producing magic to attack it with. Flames shot out of his hands, an attack known as Eldritch Flame.
