Or just get the Sonic comics and the Mega Man comics, some times Marvel as well, get a couple at a time, get all the plastic covers that you want when you go to check out, talk to the dude to get him distracted, then let him forget to ring up the covers price, and then he will just give it to you for free. Buy graphic novels on things like amazon and if you want to save money on comics get them on comixology a month after they come out probably will be cheaper. You also can read previews pages online to see if you like it.

Yeah, I typically read the first chapter if I have time. With books it's harder since I tend to not like the synopsis's of a lot of them.
