Elrandir 783 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) It finally happened...after months and months of waiting, the Ura Zelda Project has been cancelled. As you may know, Ura Zelda was an expansion for the Ocarina of Time game for the disk drive 64. The Project leader, Zeth, made clear that the goal of the project was to bring back the beta content of the Zelda Ocarina of Time game. Things like the Unicorn Fountain, The Blade Beam, getting the Triforce, the original models of the Kokiri and some other things. With time, the project evolved in something more great. A complete change in the form of new dungeons, new enemies, new side-quests, new NPC characters, new music, a new hero and a brand new story-line. But this time, the project as been officially cancelled, Zeth has taken all his stuff related to the project and even closed the project's website. Now some concept art, so you can see what could have been. Maybe someday Zeth will be back to complete the Project, but for now, rest in peace Ura Zelda Project Edited April 30, 2013 by Elrandir 1 Reyn reacted to this

Elrandir 783 Posted April 30, 2013 That's sad. It sounds like it could have been really great. Yeah, some of the video previews were great, showing some new stuff, like the ice temple, the temple of light or the new great fairy. Man, thats not good D: I was hoping that this would stay alive. Me too. I hope someday Zeth brings the project back. But apparently he had some problems with other members of the team and that was the reason the project got cancelled. Wait, I thought this was canceled years ago? ._. I think it was cancelled a couple of times before. But it as been cancelled once again.

How was it continued, the N64 stopped getting games years ago... Was this a fan project meant to pick it up, or what?

Was this a fan project meant to pick it up, or what? It was a fan project. Zeth was going to do a mod for the Ocarina of Time Master Quest rom that contained new stuff. Some things that could have been in the game were The Temple of Light, The Temple of Wind (which became the forest temple in Ocarina) new NPCs, the unicorn fountain, a new Great Fairy, new heroes, new side-quests and a new story-line. Oh, alright. I believe the original Ura Zelda was meant to be an official add-on to OoT, I remember reading that somewhere anyway. Didn't know it went on to become a fan project. If you pull the left(?) side of the Ocarina of Time cartridge a little from the N64 you can make a "save file" with a little triforce symbol next to it, meaning it was used for the Ura Zelda expansion, but makes that slot completely useless and cannot be deleted or used ever again. Woah, really? I never knew that. ._. I'd test it, but I don't have an N64, I just got the Virtual Console port.

Marth 338 Posted April 30, 2013 I've never heard of the Ura Zelda expansion being made for the 3ds...oh well, at least it doesn't kill you. Though it would be interesting to see in action
Elrandir 783 Posted April 30, 2013 A shame, I'm really digging the green-haired Link's look... That's the Hero of Light. Just like in the BS Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets, it was supposed to be either a boy or a girl.

What do you even mean, pull the left side? Are you talking about the actual Physical Cartridge itself, or the save file screen in the game? You aren't being very clear. You aren't being very clear.Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. But yes, you have to pull the actual physical cartridge from the N64. If you want to learn how to do it then google it, search something like "how to turn an ocarina of time save slot into one of Ura Zelda or a saveslot for the 64DD" that's how I found out about that. Elrandir 783 Posted May 1, 2013 Oh ok then. Also, how does pulling the slot a little make Ura Zelda slots? I don't remember that much but you had to do something on the back of the cartridge, then, when you were at the file selection screen you had to pull the left (or was it the right?) side of the cartridge a little. Oh, so pull the cartridge while you are at the selection screen. Cool.
Wally 18 Posted May 2, 2013 I saw this coming for this project. Fan projects like this aren't to be trusted. Stress just piles on due to the amount of work and no money being made from it, so they lie and lie about delays, and then the project is cancelled. Anyone remember the Ocarina of Time 2D project? The creator faked his own death to get out of that. It didn't take long for people to know it was BS, considering he logged onto an account after his supposed death. Anyways, you just can't trust fan projects, especially ones that promise you the world.
