Not only that, those classifications bring a wide variety of stuff to offer. Stories, characters, battles, and music can be anything--what's "anime music," unless you count anything sung in Japanese? Comparing Kingdom Hearts to specific anime/manga out there, sure, I could draw some similarities, but you can't compare it to anime/manga in general.
