Example. Look at the forum page. See all of the sections? Most of them are my avatar. They've been there for a while.

Maybe secretly you are actually the only member of KH13 o:

But what about when people aren't in school? It's still dead.

People log on but don't look at it.  Being honest I usually log in after school and leave it in a tab while I do work or something else.

Most users would log in to see if they got any notifications and just crawl away into a  hole and die when they realize... no

Inactivity really.  Barely anyones on and those who are aren't really posting.  Most topics and status' are made by the same group of people, bar the occasion "I'm new the site" thread.

Oh.  Well, at least for me, I don't always post for the sake of activity, only if I think I have something interesting to say; otherwise it'd feel like I'm just posting for the sake of noise.  As for threads, I only start threads if I really think I have something to talk about.  If not, I just post in others' threads.

But it's like, when so many users aren't posting or making new topics then no one feels they have anything to say and the place is so inactive it's dull.

So people would just sit and watch the forums waiting for something to happen.  Honestly compared to a few months ago it's like half the users died or lost their hands and can't type.

Pretty much yeah. Theres been a few times I have been gone half of the day and there was only one thread made. Nothing else really happened.

I guess that's fair.  So, the solution is to just make more threads?  That might not change the fact we might not have something worthwhile to say, even if it's the same for other people.  Even when the site was active, I didn't feel compelled to make threads.  After all, activity in and of itself doesn't equate to something engaging.  There are threads that get a small handful of posts before dwindling into nothing.

Exactly. My question is- what happened to members who would liven it up so much?

I mean, we still have generally silly people like Xaon, Xylek, and myself, but up until I went on my break a little while back, I felt like it was a lot more lively than it was now. What happened in those two months?

The ones who consistently contributed to things left for one reason or another, usually from some kind of drama or personal issues.  The problem might not be so much a lack of activity so much as a shortage of people that keep things interesting--or at least, those people aren't always posting.  Activity for the sake of activity isn't always good, because multiple people insisting on saying something can just lead to spam rather than something with substance.  I agree that more people should be posting, but I think there should be a game plan as to what they post.  Like, think of things that can start a legitimate conversation.  It's not always easy to keep it KH-related because there are dry spells in between new developments.  The buzz from 1.5 is dying down now and a lot of people aren't interested in KHX, so who knows when the next big news will come?  During that time the most we can do is speculate, which is great, except there's only so much speculation you can do before you start grasping at straws for what the next big thing will be.  So, thinking of something to say doesn't necessarily stem from other people not thinking of things to say.

No.  The solution is to get people active so the forums aren't dead, the more people who are active the more likely people are to bother engaging in all, rather than staring at a bunch of blank, forums that haven't seen a single new post in days.  Considering this is a forum based site, discussion is the only real thing keeping people on when there isn't a surge of KH news a few times.

You don't have to make threads.  You don't have to post.  But when no ones doing it, there's nothing else to do on the site so people are gonna click off and do something else, play a game, talk on forums where there's actual discussion and bant going on, go online shopping, rather than coming to a place where no ones doing anything.

Just try your best.

Give people a reason to stay and keep posting, just keep trying!!

Be more open when making threads, try to make them easier for people to join... make them more inviting like some of you already do!!!! Sometimes a close knit family is great but can drive some members away :c

Also nah man, this isn't junior modding at all! This is more like being a community leader and taking charge to do something for the better. c; -- This is perfectly ok to do!!!

I've seen the site go through these slumps over four years, it usually picks back up eventually around Northern Hemisphere!Summertime. (yes sora96 not Australian summertime) Really though a lot of people that are surprised by this haven't been on this site for very long.... it has it's slumps and usually around this time of year there isn't many people on

That too!!! Even though the 1.5 hype has died down, E3 is around the corner and the English version is coming out!! It might drive in a little bit of people!!!

But yeah overall it's just a slump, it picks back up eventually don't worry too much.
