Nalbro 2 Posted April 9, 2013 Why hello there, it's the old... huh. Hey I'm nalbro I do things sometimes! But on to serious business, I've been gone for a really long time, no real reason, things happened, things happened some more, and then more things. I'm sorry I've been absent for such a long time, I probably wouldn't have done much lol but still feel kinda bad about ya' know?On to the others vs. If you're reading this, thank you, and please keep reading. I made a 'Nalbro vs. Lets Plays' last time I logged on here, I thought instead of dragging it up from the depths of internet, I'd start again more proper instead of 'I wanna do a lp help me!'So yes, I still wish to do a lets play at some point, I'm wondering what kind of equipment you would recommend. I'm just going to do this as a hobby so I don't need the absolute best stuff ever, I just need to know: What capture card I should use for console games? (e.g. xbox 360) Is there a program of some sort I should use to record audio? (I have a gaming headset in the mail.)What should I use to edit the video? What should I use to animate an opening? And last but not least, I cannot stress enough that I don't need tech like the Game Grumps, this is just going to be a hobby. But of course I don't want the video to be tiny and blurry and the audio to be muffled. If You have any advice on the lets play equipment, I would live to hear it, thank you again
OthersiderME 614 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) For recording gameplay, I've got a Dazzle DVD Recorder, which comes with Pinnacle for video software, and it works well. Audacity is probably the program you want for audio. Aside from that, are you planning on post-commentary or live commentary? OthersiderME 614 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Live Commentary, need those reactions to be legit Lol Alright, so with live commentary, you're going to want the headset and to lower the volume on your TV so the game sounds don't echo because they're picked up by both the capture card and your mic. and no problem. I'm still getting everything working too, so it's nice to give advice to others in my situation. Edited April 9, 2013 by OthersiderME
