Maybe he dropped out of high school to start a band. After many years the band wasn't very successful and he became lazy and just didn't care anymore. Then...Somehow...He drowned.

It had been spread around a few years ago that his true name is "Myde" it just sort of stuck for me. I've read too many fanfics and seen too much fanart to call his somebody anything but "Myde". But that's just my stubbornness :c I actually read this really good fic on a theory of how the somebodies' personalities changed into who they are.

I don't want to destroy any hopes, but all those names sound so stupid, that I started to think maybe Nomura never planned to reveal his somebody name and just chose Demyx because he simply thought of it and it sounded perfect for him. Haha

 

But seriously, regardless of what his actual name might be if it even gets revealed I'll continue calling him Demyx or Demy, cause I did the same with Saix and Axel. Can't stop calling them that even after they became somebodies again.

 

Oh and someone mentioned he was just too lazy and just put an X at end of his name. That's probably not the case, since it would've been Xemnas who where the lazy one then, as he gives them the names after all. dunno if that was meant seriously though
