PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted December 20, 2014 Truly only a kid's show could imply romance between two people. That's why all the other Korra seasons have absolutely no romantic subplots Honestly, the hand holding, the way they face each other. I always saw Korrasami as a fan theory, but this makes it seem pretty likely I think the creators were just trying to leave the ending open for the fans. Makorra shippers got their Makorra moment and Korrasami shippers got their Korrasami moment but I don't think they were trying to officialize anything...They're just leaving it open for people's interpretation and for fanfics and everything...They are also doing a little fan service. VisitJoan 2,713 Posted December 20, 2014 How do you figure that? I just did not feel like the end of a series to me. For the end of a season it was good. But for a series finale it was lacking - especially when Korra said she was only just beginning to change the world.

Everything was put into place and we're left to think of the future. Plus, Korra can't just be "done" with changing the world. Aang wasn't done by the end of TLA's Book 3, he was just starting too. Aang 649 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) I agree. It was an amazing two episodes, but I felt it was a bit too weak for a series finale. I really hope Korrasami does not happen, I strongly oppose it, quite honestly. I am very upset that Korra didn't reconnect with her past avatars, that would have made my day. Overall, I really enjoyed it and loved the series as a whole, but I honestly am a bit upset about the ending. It didn't feel fulfilled in my opinion. EDIT: I think the entire theme of the show, altogether was friendship. Not romance. I felt as though Korra was trying to prove she didn't need romance in her life- that she was an independent woman. I like pretty much everything about the finale. I thought it was great for a series finale. It had a nice amount of comedy and action(amazing animation!!). It wrapped up the Kuvira story and Korra's arc in a great way. I do think that they should've made their ending clearer(Is Korrasami a thing or not?) and answered more questions (Suyin's father please! Does Makorra stand a chance) and I am really sad we didn't get a Toph, Katara and Zuko reunion and I really hoped Korra would reconnect with her past lives. I hate that the ending was so ambiguous...it's a series finale! They should wrap things up. Not cool. By the way, I think Korrasami is a bit out of nowhere...I mean, I always considered them as friends. Except for the blushing scene...that's the only thing that pointed to a Korra and Asami relationship. I think after Tenzin visits, it would have been great if Korra and Aang himself had a moment, along with all the other past avatars. And in the process, she reconnects with her past lives. I thought the last two minutes were shoehorned into the episode for fan service. I thought it was unnecessary and it didn't end on a high note. Like I said, it gravitating towards her being an independent woman, her reconnecting with her past lives, etc. 1 PrinceNoctis reacted to this

Not lovers. Anyway, Korra's still awesome in general and I'm going to miss it.

I'm really hoping it's sisterly, and nothing romantic. I may be a right winged in my beliefs, but I honestly feel no romance works the best. Korra X Mako, didn't work well. Korra X Asami, would be forced, and in my opinion just plain awful. I find it much like the Kingdom Hearts series. Not about romance but friendship and self growth. In other words, when Milo saved Tenzin I was hoping he'd break his fall by doing his infamous fart bending. I also wished that we got to see a bit of the future for Kuvira, Batar Jr, Opal, and the family. We never got to see Opal and Bolin interact with one another after she was wounded in battle. Also, I will be purchasing the comics as they come out, there is no doubt about it!

Aang wasn't done by the end of TLA's Book 3, he was just starting too. If you ask me, it just chopped off the ending too fast. Leaving us to think of the future is exactly what makes it feel unfinished. As it stands, I feel like there is more to the story to be told. I know the creators have said that they were planing to do comics and video games and what not, but for the end of the TV show I expected things to be a bit more wrapped up. I felt sadder watching the beginning of book 4 than I did the end. I'm in no way expecting this, but it would not surprise me if Book 5 came randomly out of nowhere. I should not be left feeling like that at the definite end of a series. As for Korrasami, I honestly think that fans ship them just so they can have yuri shipping. I mean, come on, if I saw two girls walking hand in hand my first thought would be that they are friends. If yuri is you thing, then fine, but I just don't see it. 2 Aang and PrinceNoctis reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted December 20, 2014 Now that I think about it, it's probably Nickelodeon's fault the ending might have felt subpar. They basically stole an entire episode away from the staff. 1 PrinceNoctis reacted to this

And am I the only one who noticed that Bataar was so sad because he betrayed Wei, Wing and Opal but he didn't mention his father or Huan...Poor Huan, it feels like his family forgets him 1 Firaga reacted to this
