Reyn 1,755 Posted March 28, 2013 I mean, think about. The guy always plans ahead, making an enormous amount of plans should something go wrong. They'd have to beat him at his own game. Not to mention, if they try to kill him by trying to destroy his heart, there's a chance something could go wrong, and Ansem and Xemnas would be reborn again. And besides, most of the time, when a character in KH dies, its only a "Disney Death", meaning they don't die for real, and end up coming back in some different form later. The only exception was Master Eraqus(As far as we know). So really, it kinda of is like no matter what they do, Xehanort is still gonna win. But, i'm sure Nomura's gonna come up with something, one way or another. So you guys discuss what theories you think will be how Xehanort is defeated. Weiss 8,279 Posted March 28, 2013 I believe that most likely Yen Sid will reveal an easier way to defeat Xehanort. I think it'll be something that will require them to go to a few worlds in search of something specific and then eventually going to TWTNW at Xehanort's own grounds for a big battle. 2 Reyn and Kurama reacted to this

Pretty much agree with this, except it would be in the Keyblade Graveyard rather than TWTNW.
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Well so far every one of his plans have failed thats why he needs a back up plan for his back up plan and they all have failed .Every incarnation of Xehanort has failed . So he's far from the great mastermind people think he is . He'll prolly be his own undoing. Also Repliku died Edited March 28, 2013 by Flaming Lea 3 luka, Demyx. and Weiss reacted to this

Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted March 28, 2013 Xehanort admitted himself that he only planned as far as the events of 3D It's anyone's game now. Sora will be all "Okay I'm sick of this guy jerking us around" *pulls out double barreled shotgun*. "BOOM! Headshot* Only way to kill a zombie since that's pretty much what he is at this point. 1 Reyn reacted to this

The only exception was Master Eraqus(As far as we know). Actually, Disney is really good at killing off their characters. And they stay dead. Because Disney is really good at writing their villains. They have solid motivations, weaknesses, and flaws, so that while they're very powerful and menacing, there is still some chink in their armor that can be exploited. All combined, these are what make the final showdown interesting. As for how they beat Xehanort: they should just drop a piano on him. And talk JUST LIKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSS!! 1 Reyn reacted to this

Grotesquery 603 Posted March 28, 2013 Every plan he or his incarnations have ever had has lost so far .Thats why he always needs back up plans and those have failed . Yes, but he's had the tenacity and cunning to plan around all of that. Even 12 years in advance, he set everything up so that no matter what happened it would ultimately end with him having an advantage. Ansem may have lost to Sora and failed to obtain Kingdom Hearts, but he started the temporal sequence that would lead to the gathering of the true Organization. Xemnas may have failed to artificially create Kingdom Hearts, but he began the Organization and and may have found several members for the true one. (Excluding Braig.) Master Xehanort may have failed to create the X-blade, but his control over Terra's body and the defeat of all those who knew or could have stopped his plans at the time ensured that he would be able to set things in motion for the acquisition of his goal. Oh, and Young Xehanort didn't fail at all. Or at least, he hasn't yet. I think. 1 Reyn reacted to this

Just bc someone makes tons of back up plans doesn't mean they are unbeatable -- it means they keep failing and need to keep trying . Thats hardly what i call a mastermind . Even in ddd he didnt account for Sora getting saved or anything that happened after that time on which is why Lea taunted him for 'failing to write the sequel'..I think it says a lot that his plans have yet to actually get him his desired goal -Kingdom Hearts. Young Xehanort wasn't in charge of any master plans- he was just a lackey so he didnt really have his own plan to fail -- just his future self's plan - which failed yet again in ddd 4 Dave, Weiss, Reyn and 1 other reacted to this

Even though what I said earlier was mostly a joke, I think the reason I made it was because Xehanort just never struck me as the kind of person who would go down all like, "NO! IM-IMPOSSIBLE! A SINGLE, SOLITARY HUMAN!?" I always imagined his defeat as some sort of anti-climax. Like, all he has is this taunting smirk on his face as he slowly fades away, as if to say, "Yes, I've lost. But that doesn't mean you've won. You never won." Even in defeat, he would do everything he could to make it as unsatisfying as possible. That's always how I've envisioned the way his mind works. He does have a huge ego and thinks of everyone as mere pawns in his overall plans so i can see where you are coming from on that .His ego is also his biggest problem and is prolly one of the reasons he fails a lot since he underestimates certain factors that seem to come back and bite him in the ass xDD 2 Demyx. and Weiss reacted to this

That's actually one of the many reasons I hate Xehanort as a villain: he's so boring. He has no emotional investment in anything going on in his own plot, he has no motivations that are particularly compelling, and whenever it looks like his own plans are going awry, he just shrugs it off. If Xehanort doesn't care, why on earth would I? 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this
Reyn 1,755 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Who says they will? Well, i mean, they can't allow Xehanort to live, they have to find a way to make sure he doesn't try to destroy all the worlds and create more nobodies/heartless again. Still, i never thought of a different way, maybe they could end up banishing him to a different realm or something? Or maybe they could try finding KH themselves?(I doubt they'd do that though) Huh. But i think that'd be a little anti-climatic. Not in the games, but in the movies. Toua2006 2 Posted March 28, 2013 I just hope it's epic But i think Nomura will think really hard about it because probably Kingdom Hearts III comes out for PS4, so yeah, i think it's gonna be very complexe and it will be epic, because Square Enix has no excuse to make a bad final game.
