PublicLibraryx 55 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) I agree with 2 or 3 of your points, but I use D-Links all the time. Despite some of it's flaws, it still sits at the top of my list, only because of the story. Edited March 27, 2013 by PublicLibraryx
Moni_22 335 Posted March 27, 2013 I'll say this: I love BbS, probably my favourite KH, but I can't denied your point. But the only thing I don't really agree is about the Keyblade, it's true that since the first game it has lost his main role but it's still something precious and difficult to obtain, only the main characters and villains have one. Ben G 166 Posted March 27, 2013 I never said BBS shouldn't exist,I mean it could've been done much better....and also another problem is they're giving TerraAquaVentus more focus than the main characters Sora and Riku lately which is a problem that played other series like the sonic franchise....I don't hate Terra and Aqua(Ven is just bleh) but I don't want to play as them againYeah but he didn't have to make EVERYONE get a keyblade,Why can't the series be fine With Sora Riku Mickey and Roxas ????What does giving Leas a keyblade add to the story???? nothing because AxelLea is already good enough with Chakrams that he can defeat a wielderGiving Axel a keyblade completed the 7 lights: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Mickey, Aqua, Ventus, and AxelAlso I believe either they will all be in a single group or we will have to play them all individually in KH3

And the only wilder Axel beat was Xion and still he passed out afterward. But he lost to Sora. Twice! And he lost to Roxas. Overall Axel did not have a good track record when dealing with Keybearers. Giving Axel a keyblade completed the 7 lights: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Mickey, Aqua, Ventus, and Axel We don't know that for sure. It could still be the group seen in the opening of 3D, or a different group. Also it's Lea. Got it memorized? He lost to Sora twice in CO on purpose .That's why he said Sora was worth saving after all . Secondly with Roxas, he wasn't trying to kill Roxas in the first fight and the second fight Roxas dual wielded and had the advantage .Plus I don't think even then Axel was really trying to actually kill Roxas bc they were afterall best friends. His heart just wasn't in it if you know what i mean Overall Axel was the only Org member to actually hold up against a wielder so well and still be alive and kickin' so his track record actually is pretty good imo . How did dual wielding give Roxas an advantage? Axel had two weapons as well. If anything it just put them on equal terms. By that logic Axel had the advantage over Sora and Xion. 1 Mirr0rVS13 reacted to this

By that logic Axel had the advantage over Sora and Xion. A keyblade is stronger and better to use against any of the others weapons let alone two of them .Notice how much more strength Roxas had after he dual wielded when he can off neoshadows in one hit in TWTNW and why using drive forms in KH2 made Sora much stronger ..Hence why Lea knew he needed a keyblade to help in his quest to save those that mattered and not just use his chackrams. His could also change his chackrams to one giant chackram bc thats how he transformed and utilized his weapon just like he could split his choice of weapon in half and use two. Dual wielding two separate keyblades isnt the same concept when they are two separate weapons Edited March 27, 2013 by Flaming Lea 5 luka, Reyn, Demyx. and 2 others reacted to this
President Yoshi 313 Posted March 27, 2013 I never said it's a bad game or it should not exist. It's not a bad game it's really not it's actually good but it's just boring to me Yeah but even then 11 is just overdoing it.Besides Sora wields the Kingdom Key while Roxas Wields Oathkeeper and oblivion well they did say that there were a lot of keyblade wielders during the keyblade wars, so i dont think its a problem that having 11 or 12 ppl wielding it. and if you think about it, it makes sense how they got it, if you fallow the series. A: Because he can use both Sora’s and Ventus’ keyblades. Sora can wield two keyblades at once because he has Ventus’ as well as his own. As Roxasis a part of Sora, he also can use two. In Days Roxas awakened his ability to dual wield after fighting Xion. In KHII once, Sora absorbs him, he can also dual-wield. i thought he was using the one he had + xion's ... im so confused Okay. nicely said

Dio Brando 5,810 Posted March 28, 2013 11-14 wielders out of possibly thousands or billions is still pretty unique. Thus far, no one's been able to give me convincing reasons that more keyblade wielders=bad except a matter of "uniqueness." What's important isn't the numbers, what's important is what the keyblades do for the story. There could be eleven or a thousand; Sora is still shown to be special in a way no other keyblade wielder is, by virtue of being the main character and who he is. Sora is still the central focus. Every single game has significantly related to him in some fashion, even BBS, for setting up the circumstances for Sora to do all his hero stuff. None of them overshadow the protagonist. For TAV and Eraqus being formal keyblade wielders, they sure as hell didn't do much in the long run--if anything, they made it worse, giving Sora a reason to be the hero. No one can or will ever overshadow Sora just because they have a keyblade. Alright...your points sounds pretty convincing.... I think you're right.....I think I worried a little too much about the increase in the playable characters since that problem was almost ruined some games like Sonic in the past years Anyway...back to the other points BBS is a good game but my 7 other issues still bothers me to this day in terms of gameplay and some story elements....the game could've been done better 2 Reyn and Mirr0rVS13 reacted to this
Ruran 481 Posted March 28, 2013 I pretty much agree with most of these and then some. Out of the ones you listed, how Kairi obtained a Keyblade is the most bother some imo. As mentioned "any douche with a strong heart can wield a Keyblade" so long as they at least have a strong heart to start off with but the way the ceremony works is just weird. Anyone with a strong heart can attain the ability if they touch a Keyblade the same time someone of master level is holding it. It's like a disease. What if Aqua went up to someone and bopped them one the head with her Keyblade, does that mean she passed down the ability? Terra smacked Zack thoroughly with his Keyblade, does that mean he has the potential too? Even if it's that two people have to hold the Keyblade with their hands the whole thing just rings of not being well thought out. As shown with Kairi anyone can just run up and grab it giving them the ability. I know it's supposed to be an "accident" so undergoing the ceremony had to be easy on some level, easy enough for a four year old to do it by accident, but it doesn't make the concept any less flawed. 3 Cucco, Dio Brando and Mirr0rVS13 reacted to this

Yep I might not have a problem with Lea getting one since he actually trained for a while.....and I can be fine with the 7 lights and 13 darkness But Kairi shouldn't have been a keyblade wielder at all.I can get the ceremony thing that Terra has done to Riku, but Kairi is just dumb.Seriously???? She became a wielder just by accidentally touching Aqua while running???? They could've given a Keyblade to a more sensible character that can actually fight like Leon"Squall" (who actually held Sora's Keyblade in his hand for a little while in Traverse Town but didn't got his own like Kairi....derp)...Kairi never fought once in her life nor did she ever played with the wooden Sword with Sora and Riku ....They gave Kairi a keyblade so she can be easily defeated, kidnapped so she can get an excuse to be the damsel in distress once again.....Believe me guys....in KH3 Kairi is gonna be kidnapped by Organization XIII once again and Sora will have to save her from the clutches of Master Xehanort......wasting another Keyblade on a character that shouldn't wield one 1 Cucco reacted to this
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted March 28, 2013 Birth by Sleep has to be my least favorite game in the entire franchise for so many reasons....it's not a bad game by any means it's just an incredibly bleh one There are several things about BBS that pissed me off that didn't exist in any other game in the series 1The bosses are the easiest in the series: seriously the game has the easiest bosses I ever fought in the series even on proud and Critical mode they're not that challenging(Except for Terra-Xehanort he's hard as shit) Vanitas in all of his encounters is a joke and his strategy can be summed up like this:attack twice and dodge with shotlock attacks ....rence and repeat until he's done for.Master Xehanort in his old form do nothing but staring at you the entire fight like an idiot and when he attacks he's so predictable.....I can go on about the bosses but the bottomline is....the bosses suck ass 2You're incredibly overpowered even without leveling up that much. The shotlock attacks and the limit break like modes when you fill up the gauge above the command menu makes the game much more easier than it should 3the D-Links are worthless....you''ll barely uses any of them with the exception of Zack...his D-link is pretty much a game breaker,in the Japanse version it can make bosses like the Final boss a walk in the park just because of how overpowered it is leveled up ot it's second level, yeah it has been nerfed down in the English version but still broken even if less than the Japanese version 4The last world in the game, the Keyblade Graveyard, is absolutely dissapointing,it's too short and boring and you can easily dodge the unversed tornado vortexes and proceed to the last area except if you want to grind and level up 5There is barely any difference between TerraAquaVentus 's version of the worlds you revisit and most of the time you visit the exact same locations and fight the exact same boss you fought with the other character(Fighting the magical mirror twice in Dwarfwood land is pointless and barely adds anything to the story when you fight it as Aqua) At least in KH2 your second visit means something because you see more of the story and you fight a different boss than the one you fought in your first visit 6Some story elements is just out there and some of them doesn't make sense, characters like Eraqus comes out as bland and does stupid decisions. 7The mini-games are nice but they're not that fun for a long time and they can get boring really fast 8It started the trend of giving EVERYONE a keyblade that made the weapon less unique.Seriously we almost have 13 wielders(14 if you count Young Xehanort) if you count all characters that can wield one....and the explanation on how Kairi got her Keyblade from Aqua is really dumb(Yeah I'm gonna accidentaly touch a Keyblade Wielder and become one myself....derp)Don't give me that crap that her heart is qualified to wield one because that would mean any douche with a strong heart can get his own keyblade Nomura's biggest fault with the franchise is the over-abundance of keyblade wielders.Seriously at this point I can expect Cinderella to turn her high-heel shoes into a keyblade and join Kairi.....we almost got 14 Keyblade Wielders(Sora,Riku,Kairi,Mickey,Terra,Aqua,Ventus,Xehanort,Eraqus,Vanitas,Roxas,Xion,AxelLea,and Young Xehanort if you want to count him) with almost eleven of them still active. That made the keyblade lost most of it's uniqueness of having only the chosen ones to have it Birth by Sleep is not bad it's really not....it's just for me the most boring one and the optional bosses doesn't add anything to the game unless you're playing Final Mix in Which you need to beat all of them as a part of the requirements to unlock the secret Episode Now I know the number of people who'll rip my flesh and soul for saying that and say:Nah you suck BBS is the best in the series TerraAquaVentus are awesome and should be the main protagonists and save the day ninaninanina I just said my opinion and experience with the game and I remember I posted a thread like this almost half-year ago but there are things I forgot to mention back then I for one thought that the bosses were where they should be and there are a normal number of keyblade wielders to me. You don't seem overpowered to me. Well, it's your opinion and I applaud you for speaking up.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted March 28, 2013 The bosses are easy not because I over-grinded but because their AI is so predictable and stupid....that and the fact they got the least amount of HP bars of any boss in the series....seriously Master Xehanort had like 4 HP bars which is really few for a Semi-Final boss of Terra's Story.....For God's Sake he has less HP Bars than Demyx 3 Cucco, luka and Mirr0rVS13 reacted to this

MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted March 29, 2013 Fool. I absolutely hated how my character would stop locking on to an enemy for absolutely no reason. Ugh. Especially at Mysterious Figure. It caused so many deaths. Oh, and the forced command style things. I could never ever EVER get a full magnega ( magneta?) because I'd use it, hit someone twice, then switch command styles and lose the magnega.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted March 29, 2013 The in-game bosses were pretty easy, but obviously MF was not at all Yeah but there is no incentive to fight him in the English version.Wasting all that time on him just to get a useless keyblade after I've finished everything in the game isn't worth it without some cool secrets to unlock like the Final Mix Version
Reyn 1,755 Posted March 29, 2013 Yeah but there is no incentive to fight him in the English version.Wasting all that time on him just to get a useless keyblade after I've finished everything in the game isn't worth it without some cool secrets to unlock like the Final Mix Version The things i really hated about BBS were: 1. The world's were so empty, as empty as in DDD. But DDD had a legit. excuse at least, since they in dreams, and how often do you dream of interacting with other people?(Unless its someone you're in love with, but thats different, ) 2. The worlds were exactly the same in every world, no differences. At least in DDD, Sora and Riku had different areas that only they could access. 3. TAV pretty much didn't do shit. I mean, all Terra did was get his body stolen by Xehanort and made him stronger, SO HE MADE THINGS EVEN WORSE. Aqua made things WORSE TOO. She saved Terra-Xehanort from the realm of darkness, and allowed him to wreak havoc on the worlds. Not to mention she got trapped down there, and without her, Sora and Co. will never be able to find Ven. Ventus was the only one who actually did something useful. He managed to destroy the X-blade and foil part of Xehanort's plan. I hated that the main protagonists of BBS were useless pretty much, save for Ven. I agree with you on those things. But the rest of the game i thought was ok. The battle system was really good IMHO. The bosses were easy, but i liked them anyway. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this
