All right guys, I'm so confused right now. You see my lil' brother broke my 3DS *cries epicly* so I have to start saving for another one, also KH 1.5 HD ReMIX is coming and I don't have a PS3, so I gotta save for that one too. My questions are:

Should I buy a 3DS XL or the normal one? Is worth to having a bigger screen for games like KH3D?

Another one: Which PS3 has backwards compatibility with KH1, KH:ReCoM and KH2? I KNOW that KH 1.5 has the same games, but I am emotional on keeping the REAL original ones. So? Can anyone help me here? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase :D

Just get a regular 3DS. 3DS xl is the same exact thing, slightly larger, for more so it's only worth it if you have spare cash. I believe it's one of the really early ps3's that's ps2 compatible. Pretty sure they don't sell it at regular retailers anymore.

I'd say get the normal 3DS because I heard there's no difference and only some gen 1 ps3's were backwards compatible......no new ps3 has that anymore so you have to play them on your ps2

It's not slightly. Lol. It's a lot bigger.

Just get a PS3.

about 5 inches :P

Ha, no way. I upgraded from a normal 3DS to an XL a while back and there's a HUGE difference. I can't even hold or look at a regular 3DS now without feeling a little dizzy.

It probably depends on the person.

That sucks, man. I know how you feel about keeping the originals. Unfortunately the backwards compatible models are only available second-hand, I think they were the 20-80 gb models, recognizable by the silver trim on some of them and the smooth touch-activated buttons on the front. They're also fat.

If you get an new 3DS, I'd just get the smaller one. I always thought the XL looked awkward and, well, large. But that's just a personal preference. My advice is focus on getting the PS3 first, especially if it's you're first one. There's a great backlog of titles available for cheap to keep you occupied til 1.5 comes out.

I'd just get the regular 3DS. XL really isn't that much improvement. I've had a regular 3DS almost since its launch, and I've never had need or use for an XL. It's unnecessary unless you have money to spare, a barren Christmas/Birthday list, eye problems or huge hands.

Sure a bigger screen might be nice, but it only makes the picture bigger. It doesn't allow you to see more of the area in a game or anything (if it did, I might've considered one)... and the battery lasts a bit longer. Woo. (I've had my 3DS on sleep for nearly a whole week recently, before it ran out of battery. So once again, not worth buying an XL just for that.) Not bashing on the XL, I just don't see why Nintendo thought it was once again necessary to bring out a bigger version of the same console lol, it bugs me that they can't just make it one size for all, or two sizes at launch.

As for PS3... I just got one for Christmas for KH 1.5 lol. Definitely worth it considering some of the other games on it (Journey, Sly Cooper, etc).

Pretty sure it's only the really old PS3 systems that supported backwards compatibility (mine doesn't, but it's brand new so that'd be why xD). If you still have a PS2 then don't worry about the backwards compatibility for KH. You'll have the games in 1.5 and 2.5 anyway, and if you feel the need to play the originals then you have your PS2 for it. That's what I do with KH anyway. :P

Get a PS3 man. There's no way you're gonna find a backwards compatible one anymore, but just a regular one is worth it.

The KH remixes are coming out on it, and theres still a chance KH3 will be on it.

Plus you have a MASSIVE library of games to pick from. Uncharted, inFamous, etcetera. If you play M rated titles then there's even more amazing titles to pick from.

3DS' are much cheaper then a console. But don't think of it like that, think "I'm gonna save money, buy a PS3, then save a significantly less amount of money to grab a 3DS."

It's not worth it. Your better off just having a PS2 and a Nonbackwards PS3 because my friend has gotten twelve Backwards PS3's and they never work. And XL is just too large to be a handheld, but too small to be a considered a Counsel, so I call is a over-sized phone. You're better off buying a Galaxy S3

Thanks guys I think I'll get the 3DS XL as I do like bigger images because I can watch more detail and stuff, but I have yet another question, as you said I have plenty time to save for both consoles so, in the case of the PS3 which version is better? Do they only differ in the GB memory or is it that they have more or less features?

THANKS IN ADVICE!!

They only differ in memory. If you get one... I'd say the bare minimum you should go for is 130 GB. That's what I have, and I've still got memory to spare. I should say though... you need to have internet in your home to make the most of it. Wi-Fi or an available ethernet port on a steady broadband connection. If you can't connect your system to the net, then you can't set up a PSN account, and you won't be able to get trophies. Nor will you be able to download patches or dlc.

Older ones are more prone to the Yellow Light of Death, although it's not a huge deal (you'd be pretty unlucky if you ever got one). Older ones have like 50-80% less GB hard disk storage, but you can always buy an external one. Older PS3s do look cooler though, with the touch buttons and the shinyyyy. But it's a fingerprint magnet if you touch it. Go to the "model comparison" section to see more details and compare: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3#Model_comparison

3DS XL. My biggest regret is not waiting another six months to get an XL. They are spectacular. And with the deals you can often get on them, it's worth it.

Only the first PS3's had backwards compatibility. Then Sony realised that they could sell all the same games on the PSN Store....

So unfortunately you will have to stick with your PS2 and make sure your sibling doesn't break it ;P

And on which PS3 to get. You should get the latest model, with the most GB's.

You know my 3DS IS NOT TOTALLY BROKEN in fact the only matter was that my brother threw it accidentally, and it stoped working correctly. At first it seems to work fine EXCEPT for the fact that when I want to start an app (any of them), the menu disappears and it's loading the app, but THAT'S IT, just keeps on loading and it doesn't do anything else. I got it like when the 3DS was just beginning it's sales. So if you know of any way to fix it rather than having to buy another one that would be a lot better.

get one of the new super slim ps3's they are expected to significantly drop price over the summer leading up to the ps4 launch. The ps3's that can play ps2 games are the fat version, they are very large, they consume a lot of power and have a major problems overheating and more and more get the yellow light of death. Especially considering the fat ps2 is pushing 6 year old now, it would be a very bad idea to get one.

Buy a fat 80 gb ps3. It has backward compatibility with ps2 games. Might not be working for long since its used.
