KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted March 28, 2013 They are basic rights. Everyone should be able to be treated as an equal. When someone is denied something like marriage that isn't equal. The fact that everyone thinks they should have an opinion on the matter sickens me. The fact that something like gay marriage even needs to be voted on sickens me. It doesn't effect anyone other than homosexuals. Just leave them the firetruck alone. They aren't hurting anything by loving someone. of course you see this argument because you dont respect me or other queer people enough to realize what your bigoted opinion does. do you think it feels good to be told youre wrong and unnatural by people like you? you can fight for your rights in many ways and you know i don't have the means to protest like you suggested. i live in a bigoted town with a bigoted school who threatened to suspend me for hugging my girlfriend. guess who wanted to suspend me? someonelike you.youre taking away my rights as a human by not respecting me or others. of course you dot see it because again, youre a privileged bigot. Plus you can have your hateful opinion but i can call you out on it because it affects me. so apparently being able to love who you want and being able to be who you are aren basic rights? i thoughy we all had the right to pursue happiness but apparently you dont think so. so thanks for letting me know that i dont deserve to be happy. i will never respect someone whos opinion makes me deserve less than being treated like a human being. thanks for givig the world your ignorance and hate. if youre allowed to choose which ignorant religion youre part of then i should be able to marry someone i fell in love (and you cant choose who you fall in love with) Fine. Whatever you say. I am sticking with my beliefs and stop trying to convince me I am wrong, because you won't. I don't agree with the lifestyle; that is all. Just because people don't agree with you does not mean they're ignorant. Since you seem so strong about it, why don't you go to Washington and protest this and stop trying to tear me down from my position. I have an opinion and I am not afraid to speak it out loud until kingdom come. If you don't like it, I don't really care since it's your problem and not mine. Kaiso 2,764 Posted March 28, 2013 I mean that is kind of absolutely correct except in terms of human rights you are definitely entitled to your opinion but I mean Yes, everyone should have equal rights everyone should have the right to marry whomever they may choose everyone has the right to their opinion everyone has a right to their beliefs If they don't like another person's beliefs they can take their beliefs elsewhere into a more accepting and loving environment, but despite a person's religion they shouldn't force it upon people when it means separating people from their happiness. They don't need a church's approval, just the government to allow them to sign a piece of paper you will never see in your entire life that says "yay they are a couple now." Guest Posted March 28, 2013 Lets all think of it this way: If they cannot marry, then most likely sex changes will occur more often so that people can get around the law. Its human ingenuity. We find ways around laws that govern our world. We want to fly, yet are incapable to, well we can make a plane fly, and ergo us being its cargo also fly's. We wanted to go faster than what our legs could carry us at, so we invented carriages and cars, we wanted to go into space, but we could not survive in space, so we invented things that we could live in that could also survive space. Humans find ways around natural laws, so even if this bill dose not pass, people will find a way.

Yeah but when the opinions effect others who are doing no harm to anyone it has gone to far. Edited March 28, 2013 by Xaon 1 Kaiso reacted to this
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted March 28, 2013 I'm just going to jump in with my opinion. I think it's wrong to deny people rights based on something they can't control. After hearing several members of the LGBT talk, I found out that those people don't have a choice. Denying them rights is the same thing as being racist. And earlier some of them argued that is is their choice. To which I deliver my facepalm GIF of the day for:
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted March 28, 2013 Yeah but when the opinions effect others who are doing no harm to anyone it has gone to far. True. That's why we can't make blanket statements. Others are allowed to express their opinion and/or beliefs though.
Demyx. 10,064 Posted March 28, 2013 True. That's why we can't make blanket statements. Others are allowed to express their opinion and/or beliefs though. Allowed, yes. Should they? No. It isn't something that people should be concerned about. That's like me saying, "I think your eyes are ugly. I'm going to make it illegal for you to marry someone who likes your eyes. So you better get knew eyes." Nobody has a right to say something to say that do they? 1 FireRubies1 reacted to this

There is a difference between insult and opinion. What if the gov't is doing something that I know is wrong, but everyone else supports it? Does that mean that I have to keep it quiet? That interferes with my freedom conscience and saying that someone should not express opinion defies the first amendment freedom of conscience and speech. Why deny someone that right?
