The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted March 27, 2013 Okay, so as the title implies, this topic is to discuss your favorite video game genres. Personally, my favorite genre of games are role playing games, because one can be able to experience emotional and compelling stories with intriguing characters and lots of content to chew on. RPG's have become a significant part of my life as a gamer, and I can't imagine a gaming world without RPG's. They are essential! To Kingdom Hearts, to Final Fantasy, to Pokemon, and to Zelda, I have a huge amount of respect for these colossal RPG giants. My other runner up for favorite video game genre is Action/Adventure, such as is the case of the Assassin's Creed series. So then guys, what genre of video games is your favorite? Sikota Urinakano 876 Posted March 27, 2013 RPGs all the way. Especially when I get to make my own character, especially more when I get to customize them. I just love how much I can get involved in the story. That's almost the only reason I'll play a game. Story. I feel like Fire Emblem: Awakening will have me in tears over and over again because I won't be smart enough to save my friends lives. What if I accidentally put my wife or child in a life-threatening situation? If I'm in tears over losing friends to battle then if I lost my love... razuthor72 89 Posted March 27, 2013 Definitely RPG, but I'll play pretty much anything that's good. I "enjoy" CoD, but I don't particularly like it. I LOVE Halo 4. DragonMaster 1,166 Posted March 27, 2013 I actually seem to have limited taste in games (and well, just about everything else too). My preferred genre is RPG. Most of the games that I enjoy and play on a regular basis are RPGs. There are, of course, games from other genres I enjoy.
