Weedanort 8,786 Posted March 26, 2013 I wasn't surprised at all. Most of my classmates took Sex Ed. as a joke.

Demyx. 10,064 Posted March 26, 2013 I didn't take it until high school. So, I already knew the stuff they were teaching and I got really bored.
Jiraiya's Disciple 631 Posted March 26, 2013 My Cousins thought it would be funny to show me a porn video when I was 6 so Sex Ed was really no big deal, Plus I'm Computer Schooled So there was no need for me to get embarrassed over saying anything such as *enter female parts here* or *enter male parts here*
adngo714 36 Posted March 26, 2013 For some reason, my parents wouldn't let me take the course.

Setrex 1,031 Posted March 26, 2013 I was never taught it at school. Good job Irish education. Not that it made a blind difference any ways you learn more from people than you ever would in a taught class. I think... I dunno I was never taught

Sora96 17,256 Posted March 27, 2013 Never had sex ed as a young lad back in my day. Had to find out through instinct. Since you're an old man, you lived through the sex revolution. I don't remember...
A mystery 346 Posted March 27, 2013 I have never had a sex education class before, but I can imagine I would have felt pretty awkward. That's just me though, I am kind of an awkward person in general. ^_^ 1 Sora96 reacted to this
Amon 4,279 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Never an official Sex Ed class in my district. Basically there are three times when we discuss it. In 8th grade the school slowly takes all of the boys and all of the girls in the grade to talk about the subject for anyone who didn't know how it worked yet (no one). This was really akward because it they used Brain Pop for many of the videos. My childhood was instantly ruined watching Tim and Mobey discuss genitalia. Then in biology class you watch it and even see a video of a baby being born. If there is anything to discourage teens from getting pregnant, this video takes the cake. Basically, child birth looks like an alien coming out of Chewbacca's asshole. Then in health class we talk about sex and STDs and all that. All of us take health around 15 or 16 years old so by this point the class is completely redundant for obvious reasons. My reaction was mostly indifference. I had "the talk" when I was 10 so I had a basic understanding of it. It was pretty funny watching the reactions of other kids who were sexually ignorant. It's funny, one of my friends would close his eyes and cover his ears during that 8th grade discussion. Now he's like the horniest shithead I know lol. Henne 150 Posted March 28, 2013 Teaching 9 year olds these things. Very...interesting concept they had. I think it is a good idea. It was funny when I was that age. We even read some books about it... okay, they had many, many pictures in them. "Peter, Ida und Minimum" is one of them. I remember laughing at the picture when the baby's head looked out of its mother's vagina. A few years later they would do the same... well, without that Peter lovely book and now about "how to use a condom" etc.. I loved banana's and now I love them even more
advfox 698 Posted March 28, 2013 I took it back in Elementary School, so most of us just laughed at it.

4Everbee 1,365 Posted March 30, 2013 My mom took me out of school and put me in homeschool before we got the 'talk.' So , never had a reaction to it.
LordOfTheCastle 92 Posted April 5, 2013 The entirety of my sex education courses were basically: Condoms exist, you'll still get STDs and get pregnant if you use them. Have a nice day. And the next day we switched over to "health" talking about melanoma and stuff. It's no wonder the handful of girls from my class that haven't already had one or two kids is just becoming a smaller number every day.
