Even if you didn't like the first one, give this one a chance, it will be much better than the first one waaaay more loyal to the book

 

Pleez folks, I REALLY wanna c the whole series turned into movies, spread the word, etc. would be greatly appreciated!  

 

Just imagine how you would feel in Kingdom Hearts' place, and ask urselves, what would Aqua n Sora do?

I never even knew about the books until months after I'd seen the movie. But I really like the movie and I'm glad they're making a sequel.

They better keep the series more to the books as possible. The second book is my favorite in the series and I am so happy for this movie. I have no clue what is instore, but I know that it will be awesome and way better than the Twilight series.

don't worry friend it seems to b vERY loyal to the book with the only difference so far bing that theyre older left off from the first movie and they seem to add a manticore, and will probably leave out the hydra since it was in the first movie. And ya ur probs right! They will keep the books more closer from now on, but this movie MUST be successful in order for that to work out so spread the word and make it happen!

I love the Percy Jackson series and I hope the movie does really well. I think it's sort of underrated as a whole.

 

I also think showing your appreciation is great, but you should clarify in the title that this is fanmade teaser trailer, not an official one. It's a bit misleading otherwise.

I don't have much faith at all. Nathan Fillion as Hermes will be its only saving grace for me, in all likelihood. They just screwed it up beyond repair in the first go. It will require so much backpedaling and clarification and exposition, that even if they do succeed more or less at repairing the first films damage, it will just be a busy, cluttered mess.

 

You have to introduce Clarisse, Kronos, the Prophecy, Thalia, how old they actually are, (Pan?). You have to reintroduce Luke and start integrating him with the actual story, not his stupid daddy-problems. All this and more, while simultaneous dealing with the actual SoM plot.

 

Like I said... It will take a miracle...

Have faith man, at least spread the word and let people no its going on, i mean they screwed up memories in HBP, NO Bill weasley/mundungus in previous films and in DH it all turned out fine! Thalia was on a deleted scene, Pan is not too important and it can easily be explained same with Luke he just fell into the river, and besides i hear there will be young versions of annabeth, grover, and thalia so flashback in the explanation of back story, Kronos was mentioned in the first movie, the prophecy can be easily explained, keep an open mind, i mean new hulk more than made up for first one, Fast 5 for fast 4, second fantastic four for first one, etc. don't let the unversed take u man

well i meant i wanted to see him fight but seeing as they were filmed i guess they just decided not to put in all the cool parts of the book. I don't really see why they made the quest partially to look for the pearls to go into the underworld seeing as Percy sorta randomly got them lol, dude just goes into the ocean and an ocean nymph gives him the pearls right?

ya i agree I want them to release a director's cut/extended edition some time with those scenes, and the second one WILL have more of the kool parts of the book in it. Even if you didn't like the first one, give this new one a chance

Director and Logan Lerman state how much better this movie will be and will stay VERY loyal to the book, also confirming Kronos IS in the movie! 

 

The only differences i can c r:

 

Grover POSSIBLY though unconfirmed, does NOT get kidnapped (unless he does later on in the movie)

 

Probs NO Hydra since it was in the first movie

 

A manticore will appear but to which extent unknown may be a set up for a third movie (which Lerman states he'd LOVE to return for)

 

And of course they r all older as per the last movie

 

Aside from those differences, it looks like Sea of monsters movie will be VERY much like the book!

Oh, and if Percy was already like, 16 in the first movie, how is he going to be 16 for the last book? The whole plot revolved around him turning that age.

um fyi the book had hilary duff's So yesturday in  pipe reed form, which one would u have rather listened to? There is pop culture songs in the book, it fits perfectly 

 

And as for the 16 thing they can just change it to being like 20/21 which actually makes better sense because its more of a coming of age type thing

 

and u probs forgot Eragon, but personally, i LOVED the Eragon movie waaay better than the book, but it is understandable as to why people don't like the films because they change so so much. But then again, wouldn't it b kinda boring if it was EXACTLY the same as the book? Ideally, it would be great if book/film adapations could be diferent from each other, whereby readers get to c a form of the book that is slightly different so its not ALWAYS the exact same thing, because if you already know what happens it gets kinda boring, and the nonreaders getta film that translates well. 

 

I mean don't get me wrong, if this EVER happened to Harry Potter, then i probs would be upset, but i guess we'll never know, it may have been for the better, but anyways, the Lady Gaga/tik tok in the movie made perfect sense because thats what its like in the book, and i would much rather have those songs than hilary duff's so yesterday

 

And i agree, i wouldn't call Lightning Thief the best movie ever, but it certaintly wasn't the worst despite being probably the most unloyal book adaptation i've ever seen (and ya i think Eragon is more loyal to the book but they're both fairly close in the unloyal scale and r the top two least loyal adaptations and its debatable), it had a very weak plot, but an enjoyable film with great character and fun action etc. I REALY liked the LT film but think SoM will be much better and after all

See? Sequels can "fix" their previous mistakes by their predecessors

Just give this new Percy a chance and wait and see what happens

Man of Steel is a reboot, not a sequel. The best course to take in my opinion, would be reboot the series.
