Jordan Hodge 1 Posted March 19, 2013 I wonder if all of the voice acting in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will be completely redone, or is it just the 358/2 Days cutscenes that are getting brand spanking new voice acting and Kingdom Hearts/Re:Chain of Memories will just be getting remastered voices from the old games? TerraRedeemed 255 Posted March 19, 2013 ive thought about this before too. im hoping they redo Ansem and Sora since theyve both changed substantially in later titles. 2 Deadpool and 143436611Xxcc reacted to this
Weiss 8,279 Posted March 19, 2013 They've already confirmed they won't be redoing voice acting. 1 Reyn reacted to this
Jordan Hodge 1 Posted March 19, 2013 Yeah! It would make sense and all. Not to mention, the first game is a bit secluded when it comes to being really tight with the other games. It would've been kind of nice if they sneaked in itty bitty things/scenes to tie in with the other games better. But yeah...it would make sense to at least re-record Sora and Ansem's lines, mostly Sora's. Also, David Boreanaz originally did Squall's voice in the original game. *Drools*...so bright side is if it is old voice acting remastered, that'll still be there. X_X Ah ;-; that's ok - was just always one of my ponderings. 1 TerraRedeemed reacted to this

143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted March 19, 2013 they improved the ost. the voicing will be the same oh yeah, durr lol. I just don`t wanna face the fact that it`s gonna be SOOOOOO weird hearing his KH1 voice with his KHRe:com and DDD model :,/
RoxSox 3,593 Posted March 19, 2013 It's called puberty. It happens. Get over it. My voice changed overnight... same can be true for Sora. Get the hell over it. It might be weird playing it after having played the later games, but how weird do you think it will be for the people who know and love the original? It will ten times weirder changed then unchanged. 1 Reyn reacted to this
Jordan Hodge 1 Posted March 19, 2013 True, true. I still love my "Tarzan go, Sora go go." Sora >_>

Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted March 19, 2013 The only voice dialogue being added is the days scenes. Like Sora96 said, all voiceovers in KHFM and ReCoM will simply be enhanced to HD style.
Kingdom Awesome 14 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) I hope we at least get a release date and maybe a collecters edition. Edited March 19, 2013 by Kingdom Awesome

Maybe a quidebook or an artbook/coffee table book can be in it and a Formation Arts statue.

Kingdom Awesome 14 Posted March 19, 2013 or ah, I wish. So true. All I want to know is how come it is releasing in fall?
Oishii 3,987 Posted March 19, 2013 If it makes you feel better, I feel like Sora's voice in the Japanese version is a little weird too, even though it's the same actor. You can tell he was trying to sound younger in some parts (one of these parts even made me burst out laughing)
Nathan Hatton 274 Posted March 19, 2013 Why on earth do people want sora's voice redone? He's a kid!!! why would he have an older voice??? it makes NO sense. in re: COM, he has moved on from KH and hes going through all these wacky memory changes, a vocal change honestly doesnt seem that out of place. and then in re: coded, he's not even real. If anyone should change, maybe (BIG MAYBE) Ansem, only because they never used Billy Zane again. but young sora should still sound like young sora. I think it would ruin the game if they changed Sora's voice.
Tetsujin 43 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Square Enix North America confirmed shortly after the English version's announcement that they will be enhancing the quality of the game's dialogue. They were talking about the music however, not the dialogue. It's safe to say they won't be re-recorded of course.Basically there is nothing to enhance with the voice recordings anyway. They're already crystal clear. Edited March 19, 2013 by Tetsujin

Tetsujin 43 Posted March 19, 2013 No, the music was re-recorded. The dialogue's quality has been enhanced though. I know the music was re-recorded. That's what that was about. Someone in the PS blog asked whether they're going to replace the OST (as in, completely new music) and the response was they're not replacing tracks, they're improving them. Which they did (and yes, technically this improvement did mean replacement but that's semantics). Nothing was said about voice recordings specifically.
