Text Seeing The World With Brand New Eyes.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, how’s it going?  Here’s the next chapter!  I’m sorry for taking so much time to post chapters, but it’s because the Spanish teacher gave us a big final project.  I have to read the book Don Quijote and then I have to make a summary of Chapter 5 and do an Oral Report.  So I might not post that much chapters during these weeks, but I’ll try my best!  Anyways, here’s the next chapter!

Chapter Fifteen: Comatose

I still can’t believe what I’ve heard.  My dear Rose, in a state of comatose…never to awaken again.  I fight off the feeling of sorrow in my heart.  I know that this can’t possibly be her fate, it just can’t be!  She has to wake up, she must wake up!  She can’t die on me now!  I try to control my undeniable urge to simply break down and break everything in the room.  The doctor sees my frustration and he puts his hand on my shoulder and he says: “I’m sorry.  We’re doing the best that we can.  We would appreciate your patience.”  Then I fix my glasses and look back to the Doctor and I nod and say: “All right.  But please, I must ask that I stay here with her.  I don’t want to leave her.”  The Doctor nods and he replies: “Very well.  I’ll let you know if there’s any progress on Rose’s condition.  In the meantime, you can stay here and keep her company.”  I thank the Doctor and he leaves the room, and then I fix my gaze upon Rose’s beautiful face.  She looks tormented, as if she’s having a great battle within herself.  I feel helpless, I don’t know what I can possibly do to help her.  I simply close my eyes and hold her hand tightly in mine, and I start to pray.  Then, all of a sudden, the room dissipates in front of my very eyes, and only Rose and I remain.  We seem to be in a pitch black place.  I then realize that Rose is not by my side, but then I hear her calling out to me in the distance, screaming for help.  I then realize that I’m in her mind.  How I managed to do that, I’m not sure, but what I am certain of is that I can help Rose awaken.
(Start Song Here)
I start running towards her, when I see hordes of disgusting creatures make their way towards me.  I dodge and make my way towards Rose, and I pick up the pace.  Then I hear the voice of a man, chuckling, as if mocking me.  I then look back and I see the man’s eyes, red as blood, and surrounded by the disgusting creatures.  The man chuckles and says: “So, you’re the man that my Rose has fallen for, right?  Hmph, as if you could ever hope to take my place, ha ha ha!”  I then clench my fists and glare at the man and I ask: “Are you Wade, the bastard that ruined Rose’s life!?”  He laughs and says: “Good guess Sherlock, I should give you a golden medal for figuring that one out.  Such a fool.”  I then go towards Wade to beat him up, but then the monsters jump at me and pin me to the ground.  Then I see Wade walk towards me and he kneels down to look at me and says: “Well, your not much of a challenge.  I thought you’d be a heck of an opponent, but it seems your just all talk and no bite.  No matter, I can just leave you hear and you can watch as I rape Rose again!  You will be a witness to her moans and her screams, and you’ll see how amazing she is when I touch her body!”  I then open my eyes wide, and I feel a sudden surge of raging light shine inside me and I yell: “Shut up you bastard!  Don’t you dare lay a finger on her!  Leave her alone!!!”  I then realize that I unleash a powerful light that kills all the monsters, and then I see a neon blue light coming out of my arm and into my hand.  For a moment, I’m puzzled, not knowing if either I’m the one having hallucinations now.

Apparently Wade wasn’t expecting that, as I see his face filled with shock and surprise.  He then cautiously circles around me, and then he says: “So, it’s true.  You are one of them after all…”  I keep my eyes fixed on him and then I say: “What do you mean by that!?”  Wade then summons a yellow neon colored light from his arm into his hand and then he says: “You really don’t know, do you?”  I clench my fists and say: “Know what!?”  Wade then smirks and he says: “You are one of the Guardian Angels sent from Heaven to protect the Light, which in this case, is Rose.  And to think that I was done dealing with stupid angels…now I have to deal with you.”  I gasp and then think to myself: “Me…a Guardian Angel?  Wait…the message I saw earlier before on my way to the hospital.”  In that moment my mind flashes back to when I saw the blood-written message engraved on the chunk of road that said: “We shall extinguish the Light, Guardian Angel.”  After that I just shake my head and charge towards Wade, unleashing my rage towards him.  I clash blades with him more than a few times, but we’re evenly matched.  Wade laughs and says: “Impressive.  So your swordsman skills have already come to you.  Now things are getting interesting.”  He then starts to shoot daggers filled with hate and blood and evil souls, and I deflect them and start to shoot crescent shaped blades of light.  I don’t even know how I’m doing this, but the important thing is that I’m protecting Rose.  I look back towards her, and I see her hand reaching out to me, as the monsters that were holding her are now dissipating.  I then hear her say: “Vincent…you came for me.”  I nod and say: “Of course I did!  I would never abandon you!”

Wade laughs and says: “Aww, how touching.  But focus on the battle at hand you stupid ingrate!”  With those words, I come back to my senses and dodge his blade, and then I punch him and start slashing him repeatedly and I summon lances of light that surround me, and I start throwing them towards him.  He blocks almost all of them, but one manages to hit him in his leg.  He screams of pain and falls to the ground, but when I’m about to deal the final blow, he counterattacks and sends me hurling back towards Rose.  I then feel her body fall upon my arms, and I hold her close.  I think to myself: “I need to finish off Wade fast.  Rose is too weak, and I can’t leave her unchecked with this bastard.  I need to defeat him, and fast.”  I then gently put her down and I launch beams of light towards Wade, and the beams of light pierce through his chest, but then he uses the beams of light and turns them into chains of darkness and he ties me up and start to drain the life out of me.  He laughs and says: “Just as I thought.  A stupid Guardian Angel like you wouldn’t last against a Demon Lord such as myself.  Now, you will die.”  But then his face of triumph turns into a face of confusion, as he hears my chuckle.  I start laughing grimly, almost in a psychotic manner, and then I look up at him and I smirk and say: “That’s what you think.  But what you don’t know is…that I’m better than you!  Because unlike you, I would do anything to protect Rose, because I love her!  And now, you will die!!!”  I then scream of anger and I unleash a radiant aura and multiple light silhouettes of myself appear and strike Wade repeatedly, and then I deal the finishing blow, and Wade screams in agony.  I then quickly rush to Rose’s side and hold her in my arms.  I feel weak and breathless and on the brink of fainting, but Rose needs me.  I need to stay awake, for her sake.  I then hear Wade chuckle and he says: “Impressive.  But don’t think this is over.  Remember that you still have to deal with my little relative in the mortal world.  He’s doing a good job, and he makes me so proud.  He’ll be sure to finish both of you off.  As long as he lives, I shall also live!” He laughs maniacally and then he dissipates, and the pitch black of Rose’s mind becomes a radiant light.

I then feel Rose touch my face, and I look down at her, and she begins to open her eyes.  I then hold her close to me and start crying, and I say: “Thank God that you’re alive Rose.  I almost lost you there!”  She smiles and she whispers to me: “You saved me.  You freed me from my nightmare.  I knew that you’d come for me.”  Then I see tears roll down her face, and I hold her close, not letting her go.  I then say to her: “Rose.  You mean everything to me.  I love you.”  She smiles and says: “I love you too.”  Then I slowly lean towards her, and before I know it, her lips are against mine, and we embrace in a deep and passionate kiss, and I feel the sensation that I had wanted for so long.  This feeling.  This love.  And I’m sure Rose had waited for this too.  I then smiled and touched her face, and then my face was filled with awe and surprise.  Rose then looks at me and says: “Vincent, I can see you!  I can see your face!  I can see you!”  I remain speechless and look into her eyes, and I notice that she no longer has gray eyes.  Her eyes are now a jade green color.  She’s no longer blind!  She has gained the ability of sight!
(End Song Here)

Hey everyone, long time no post!  Wow, it’s been a heck of a while since I’ve posted any chapters.  I’m so sorry to you all!  I’m really sorry for the long wait, but, as I told you all before, I have to read the book Don Quijote so I can make an oral report on one of the chapters as my final Spanish project.  And so, I sincerely apologize for the lack of chapters.  Here is chapter sixteen, which I hope you all enjoy, and it’s from Rose’s point of view.  Thank you all for your patience! :D

Chapter Sixteen:  Awakened

After all that’s happened, I open my eyes, and I awaken from my slumber, and I see Vincent by my side, holding my hand and looking into my eyes.  I’m still surprised that I can be able to see.  I don’t know how it happened, but I guess this is what you would call a miracle.  I then hug Vincent and kiss him tenderly on the lips, and I look at him and blush and say: “Thank you so much for everything Vincent.  You saved my life.”  He nods and places his hands on my face and he says: “I’m so happy that you’ve awakened.  And I can’t believe you got your sight back!  This is all happening so fast, this is all so amazing!”  Then I hear the Doctor come in, and when he sees my jade colored eyes, he gasps and asks: “Ms. Everdawn, your eyes, they have color.  Does this mean you have your sight?”  I nod and smile and the Doctor quickly rushes out of the room and he screams in the hallway: “It’s a miracle everyone, a miracle!”  I blush and then turn my attention towards Vincent once more.  I then ask Vincent if I’ve missed anything regarding Tyler’s case.  He nods no, and then I put my knees to my chest and I look at him and say: “Tyler came to me while I was in comatose.”  At this comment, Vincent stands up and he says: “He did?  What did he say?”  I smile and say: “He gave me words of encouragement, and he helped me push forward.  I was able to speak to him…”

I couldn’t help myself and I cried, and Vincent came to me and he put my head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around me, comforting me and providing warmth.  At that moment, I felt as though all my sorrows would go away, because of this loving embrace.  He looked at me and held my gaze as he wiped off my tears.  He smiled at me and said: “Don’t worry Rose.  I swear to you that we’ll find the one responsible for murdering Tyler.  And, thanks to that little battle I had with Wade, at least we have a lead on who the murderer is.  At least we know that the murderer is a male.  Now we have to get from that lead onward until it points us to our objective.”   After he says these words, I see his expression change, from one of relief to one of deep thought and seriousness.  Then he meets my gaze once more and he tells me, almost in a whisper:  “I just still can’t believe that I’m a Guardian Angel…I mean, I know that I was meant to deliver justice and help good people, but I never expected to be a Guardian Angel.  If I hadn’t been told about this, I might have gone my whole life not knowing who I really am.  Rose, I swear that I’ll protect you, and I won’t let any demons or darkness or anything in this universe hurt you.  I’ll be here for you.”  We both smile and kiss each other with tender passion, and then the Doctor comes back and informs us that even though I’ve recovered, I still have to stay at least for three days while they run tests to ensure that I’m in good condition to leave the hospital.  Vincent and I both agree, and we stay in the room.

And so, after a few days, I was finally able to leave the hospital, and I went with Vincent, and I saw the outside for the first time.  My eyes were capturing the scope of the landscape.  A blue sky with many clouds, the beautiful trees with their branches swaying back and forth, the buildings and the skyscrapers towering above the city streets, the people walking this way and that.  I smiled as I was finally seeing the world.  I was finally able to see.  After twenty two years, I was finally able to have sight.  I looked at Vincent and then I smiled and said to him: “So, where do we go now?”  He closes his eyes and then he says: “Well, it’s 4:00pm, so let’s go to my house, and then after you take a shower and change your clothes, we can go out to eat.  Um, I mean, if you want to, of course.”  I giggle and smile and touch his face and say: “I’d love to.”  As I touched his face, I saw the beautiful depth and warmth of his blue eyes, his black hair blowing in the wind, and his face, though confident and secure, soft to the touch.  I blush in spite of myself, and then we head towards the car.
(Start Song Here)
On our way to his house, the sky suddenly darkens and then everything stands still.  We’re both puzzled, as we watch intently, and everything is stuck in place, like if someone would have put pause to a movie.  We get out of the car, and in the distance, I see someone with a long black jacket, with a hat covering his face.  I hear Vincent whisper the name Bertram under his breath, and then, in a flash, Bertram appears right in front of us. I gasp and almost fall to the ground, but Vincent catches me.  Vincent then asks: “What do you want now?”  Bertram laughs and folds his arms and says in a sarcastic tone: “Ah, your hospitable nature is something that will never get old.”  I then walk towards him and say: “Did you know that this would happen...that I would be able to gain the ability of sight?”  He turns around and says: “Yes and no.  Yes, I knew that something like this would happen, because I had told you once before that something would happen to you, but that you would not know when or where this would occur.  And no, because I didn’t know that you would gain the ability of sight.  All in all, you should be grateful to Vincent, who got you back from the abyss.”  I nod and say: “I already did, and I’ll always be grateful to him.  But tell us Bertram, what are you really here for?”

Bertram smiles and looks up towards the sky and he says: “Nothing much really.  Only to warn you both that things will now get more complicated from here.  Now that Wade knows that Vincent is a Guardian Angel, and you have gained the ability of sight, more demons shall come to kill you, and it’ll make things even more difficult to solve Tyler’s case.  You’ll have to be extra careful and be on your guard.  For now more powerful demons shall come to try and destroy you both.”  Vincent then walks in front of me and looks at Bertram and says: “Whatever happens, nothing will come between me and Rose.  I’ll protect her, and not even the Devil himself will take her away from me.”  Bertram chuckles and then he pats Vincent’s shoulder and says: “Bold words, to be sure.  But then again, I expected nothing less from a Guardian Angel such as yourself.  Now then, I must take my leave.  Oh, and one more thing.  A word of advice…be careful with whom both of you trust…for mortals can be very treacherous beings, and your worst enemy may come from those who are helping you solve Tyler’s case.  Be on your guard.”  Puzzled, I ask: “What does that mean?”  But before I can blink, Bertram is already gone.
(End Song Here)

Vincent then sighs and says: “You know, Bertram may be technically on our side, but I just hate his damn riddles.  I’m a detective, and yet I can’t piece out any of Bertram’s words.  He’s such a mysterious enigma.”  I smile and then say: “Come on, let’s go.”  He nods and then we get in the car, and a few minutes later, we arrive to his house.  He opens the door, and I look around in wonder at all the things around his house. I see the sophisticated and neat furniture, and I look at his collection of animes and video games, and I also see many books organized neatly in a shelf.  I then look at the kitchen, and notice the counter and the wide space which makes it easy to go here and there for kitchen utensils.  I then turn back and Vincent says: “Well, I’m going to check on my office while you take a shower.  Let me know when you’re done, okay?”  I blush and then I head towards the bathroom, and just when Vincent heads towards the office, I hold him by the hand and I say:  “Vincent…I want you to come and take a shower with me…”  He opens his eyes wide and he blushes really red, and he stutters and says: “A-are you sure?”  Not being able to resist, I pull him and we arrive to the bathroom and I pin him to the wall and start to kiss him wildly.  I then feel his strong arms wrap around me and go down to my shirt, and he takes off my shirt as I slowly take off his.  He’s the only person I can truly trust.  He’s the man I love.  And I want to give my body to him.  Because I love him.

As always everyone, thank you for your comments, they make me smile!  Now then, as I told you, here is the next chapter, and remember, like I said at the end of the last chapter, this chapter will be intense and not for the faint of heart.  LOL, enjoy! xD

Chapter Seventeen: Passion

(Start Song Here)
My lips collide against Vincent’s, and we both embrace each other with loving passion.  I hear him sigh of pleasure, which makes me smile.  I then start to rub his chest and I kiss his neck and lean into him.  He wraps his arms around me and starts to rub my back.  He hesitates at first, and he makes me smile.  He knows what I’ve been through, and he knows the life I’ve lived, and he’s showing hesitation towards me, knowing all this.  He truly cares.  He cares for my psychological state.  I then lean into him and whisper into his ear: “It’s okay.  I trust you.  You don’t have to be afraid.  Because I’m not afraid anymore.”  He then holds me closer to him and he licks my ear and starts to breathe over my neck and suck it, and I give out a soft moan, running my hands through his hair.  His soft, silky smooth hair, delicate to the touch.  I then guide his hands towards my pants, and he starts to take them off slowly.  I blush and I kiss him on the neck again and I rub his chest slowly, and as I rub him, I can feel the warmth emanating from his body.

Then I kiss him on the lips and pull away so he can look at my body from top to bottom.  The shocked and amazed reaction in his face makes me smile.  I then take off my bra and my panties, and I slowly rub my body in front of him, so that he can enjoy every moment of it.  I then see his cock poking his pants, and then I kneel down and start to rub his legs and his cock throbs on his pants, begging to be let out.  I then grab his cock and rub it and I open my eyes wide.  It’s hard as a rock.  I blush really red and I start to take off his pants and boxers, and then I see is cock pop out.  I stare at it and blush and look up at him.  He stays silent while blushing, and then I make my move.  I open my mouth wide and put his cock inside my mouth, and I start to suck him in and out.  The instant I start sucking him, he moans and gasps and he says: “Ahh, Rose…ahh, that feels so good! P-please suck me!”  I smile and then I suck deeper, feeling his strong cock penetrate my mouth.  I drool and suck while rubbing his testicles, and I moan of pleasure.  I feel the connection between us grow even stronger with each passing second.  My heart beats faster as I suck harder and deeper, and his moans and sighs turn me on even more.  I then start to feel wet, and I notice that my vagina is dripping wetness.  I blush way to red, and I keep on sucking.  Then Vincent holds my head and he thrusts his cock hard down my throat, and I let out a squeal and I give in to the pleasure.  He thrusts in and out and in and out, and then he slides his cock out of my mouth and then he says: “Let’s get in the shower.”

He holds my hand tight and we make our way into the shower and he turns on the water.  The water washes over us, and we both stare at each other, amazed and start struck, to be in this moment of passion together.  All the passion and love I’d so long been craving, and I was finally in the moment.  I look at his body and admire his lean and built figure.  He then leans towards me and he kisses my lips and then swirls his tongue inside my mouth, and I kiss him back and swirls tongues with him.  Then he leans down and he kisses my breasts and he starts to lick them, and I let out louder moans, letting him know that I’m enjoying this, that I’m enjoying every moment of it.  He then pressures his head on my breasts and starts to jiggle them, and then he starts to suck them hard.  My moans become louder, and I hold on tight to him and rub his head and hold him tight to me, so that he sucks my breasts even harder.  The water splashes over our bodies, and I rub his body while he keeps sucking my breasts.  Then he whispers into my ear: “I want to be inside you.”  I smile and bite his ear and whisper to him: “Please, firetruck me.”  Then, in a split second, Vincent rams his cock in my wet pussy, and I scream of pleasure, and for a moment, I feel breathless.  I look up to the ceiling and close my eyes of pleasure as he sucks my breasts wildly and slides his cock in and out of my pussy.  His lust becomes even more intense, and it makes me even more wet, and I hear Vincent’s moans as he whispers to me: “Ahh Rose, you’re so wet and tight.  It feels so good!”  Then he holds me tight and he starts to jump up and down and up and down, making my body vibrate and shake, and he goes gentle but hard, and I scream of pleasure and hold on tight to him.  For the first time I’m being loved.  For the first time, I feel alive, and safe.  He thrusts his body and pierces inside me with passion and grace, and after a few minutes, I feel his warm sperm cum inside me.  I moan and scream of pleasure and hold on tight to him, making his cock go deeper into my pussy, and I feel even more of his warm sperm go inside me.  We both fall breathless to the floor, and the water washes over us.  I blush and whisper to Vincent and say: “I love you so much.”  He smile and whispers to me: “I love you too.”
(End Song Here)

After we dried ourselves and put on our pajamas, we made our way to the bedroom.  I smile and look around at it.  The room is simple but clean, just the way I like it.  I see some posters of Kingdom Hearts games, and on the side I see a big collection of manga and comic books.  He smiles and lays on the bed and says: “Um, yeah, all the books that I wasn’t able to fit in my living room, I put them over here in my room.”  I giggle and lay in bed with him and cuddle with him, and I smile and say: “Vincent, thank you for everything.  You’re the only man that I can truly trust, and you’re the only man I can truly love.  You’ve given me such hope and happiness.”  He smiles and puts his arms around me and says: “Anything for you, my dear Rose.”

Vincent then turns on the TV and he starts to cruise through the channels, looking to see if there’s anything interesting.  He then stops at an anime channel, and they’re giving this anime called Sword Art Online.  I then look curiously at the TV and I ask him: “Vincent, what’s Sword Art Online about?”  He smiles and then he answers:  “Well, it’s about this role playing game that many players get into using a virtual reality helmet.  The game is called Sword Art Online, and it’s a game where many people can play together.  Kirito is a boy that goes into the game to beat it, and he realizes that none of them can log out until they go to the 100th floor of the game’s tower and defeat the final boss.  He meets a girl named Asuna, and eventually they fall in love.  It’s a pretty interesting anime, and I’ve already seen about twelve episodes.”  I giggle and roll my eyes and say: “Wow, your such a nerd.”  He then chuckles and punches my arm gently and he says: “Hey, I may be a nerd, but I’m proud of it.”  We both smile and kiss each other passionately and we watch the anime, and then we watch other shows like Inuyasha, Bleach, Naruto, and FullMetal Alchemist.  Hours pass, and I’m so entertained watching TV, that I didn’t notice that Vincent had already fallen asleep, comfortably laying his head on my neck.  I blush and smile and turn off the TV and yawn and embrace him, as I slowly close my eyes.

As I close my eyes, I think of the wonderful moment that Vincent and I shared together.  How our bodies collided, and how it felt to kiss him and hug him and love him.  My heart beat and I blushed at the thought, and smiled and kissed him on the forehead.  And for the first time, I see a peaceful, almost child-like innocence in his face as he sleeps.  I rub his head and run my hands through his hair, and then I yawn and go to sleep.  As I close my eyes, I smile because now I don’t have nightmares anymore.  All I can think about is Vincent.  He truly is my Guardian Angel.  He’s finally cleansed my mind.  He’s healed my heart.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well everyone, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!  LOL, I warned you that it was going to be intense!  Let me know your thoughts and comments on this chapter please!  And stay tuned for chapters 18 and 19, which will be from Vincent’s point of view. :D

Were you horny when you made this chapter? :D

LOL, I guess you could say that.  But this event was already preordained, because I had planned for Rose and Vincent to have a moment like this ever since I was brainstorming this story. :P

Hey everyone, here’s another chapter!  Thank you so much for always commenting on my story, I really appreciate it, and I’m glad to see that my story has gotten over 1,000 views.  Thank you all, my fellow readers!  And remember that this chapter is from Vincent’s point of view.

Chapter Eighteen: Resurgence

The alarm clock rings, and I slowly open my eyes.  I warily look at it and I notice that its 9:00AM.  I rub my eyes and slowly lean up on the bed, and then I look beside me, and I see Rose laying next to me, her head cradled on my chest.  I smile and rub my hands through her back, and I blush as I remember what happened last night.  It’s a wonderful experience I’ll never forget.  I was finally able to find the girl of my dreams, and I she gave herself to me, and I felt all the wonder and amazement and love shine down on me.  It was truly a night that I’ll never forget.  After a few minutes, I gently whisper to her ear: “Wake up.”  She slowly awakens and she smiles and hugs me and kisses me and she says: “Good morning.”  I smile and touch her face and say: “Good morning.”  We both smile and get out of bed and organize the room, and then we have some pancakes for breakfast along with some orange juice.  The sun slowly gleams through the windows, brightening up the whole house.  Then my cell phone suddenly rings.

I pick up the phone and Rufus talks to me in a rather desperate way.  He says: “Vincent, we need you and Rose down here right now.  We have a lead on Tyler’s case!”  I open my eyes wide and I say: “We’re on our way.”  I hang up quickly and we get dressed and I storm through the living room.  Rose looks at me and asks: “Where are we going?”  I look at her and say: “Down to the police office.  Apparently, Rufus has a lead on Tyler’s case, and he needs us down there right now.”  She nods and then we go to my car and quickly make our way to the police office.  After a few minutes, we arrive to town, and then I look to the side of the street where the blood-written message had been, but to my surprise, it looked new, and the street was all clean, like nothing had ever happened.  Could it be that my mind was playing tricks on me?  I shook off the thought and we arrived to the police office.  We made our way to the main lobby and came upon Rufus, who said: “Good, your both here.  Come with me, we have some clues that might finally let us catch up to the murderer.”  Then he takes a look at Rose and looks surprised and says: “Rose!  Your eyes!  You’ve regained your sight!  How wonderful!  Now then, come with me.”  We both nod and we make our way down to the basement.  Upon arriving, we notice that Derek isn’t there.

I examine the room and then I ask: “Say Rufus, isn’t Derek supposed to be helping you on the case?”  He nods and folds his arms and says: “Yes, but he came by last night and said he wouldn’t be here tomorrow.  He told me he had some errands to run and important business to take care of, so I told him that it was all right.”  I stay silent for a moment, and then Rose and I make our way to Rufus, and then he shows us on his laptop the location of the murderer.  He points to the screen and says: “There, you see?  The murderer is there!”  Rose then told Rufus that she and I know that the murderer is a male.  Rufus looks at us and says: “Well, at least that’s a helpful hint.  At least we know the murderer’s gender.”

Rose looks at the screen and then she turns around and says to Rufus: “Don’t worry, Vincent and I will head down to the park, and we’ll do our best to capture him.”  Rufus nods and says: “Be careful you two.  If this turns out to be too dangerous, then head back here, understand?”  We both nod and then we take our leave and I get into my car and we head towards Blaze Field Park.  I think to myself: “So, the murderer has come out of hiding.  I wonder who he’s targeting this time…?”  Rose looks at me and she says: “We can’t let him keep killing more children.  We need to put a stop to his attacks.”  I look at her and say: “Don’t worry, I know we’ll capture him soon.”  I then pump on the gas pedal and go faster, until we arrive at Blaze Field Park.  We get out of the car and we see someone in the distance.  Rose and I cautiously walk over to the murderer, and then, when I take a close look at him, I notice that he’s the same mysterious man I had seen before, wearing a jacket that has a hood covering his face.  He’s just standing there, as if staring at us, as if wanting us to catch him.  We start to pick up the pace, and then we’re a few feet of distance away from the murderer.
(Start Song Here)
Rose then angrily shouts to the murderer and says: “Now then you punk, we want answers.  Why are you murdering so many children!?  What do you hope to accomplish with all of this!?”  The murderer says nothing, and he simply raises his arms slowly and points at her, as if taunting her to come closer.  Rose gasps but then heads towards the murderer, and she throws a knife at him, but to our shocking surprise, he catches it, examines it, and throws it back with greater force, almost cutting through Rose.  I then head in front of Rose and shout at the murderer: “Stop murdering children, you bastard!  Face justice and pay for your crimes!”  Then, we hear the murderer start to laugh softly, and then his laugh turns more psychotic, and then he dashes towards us and starts to punch us, but we dodge and block his attacks.  He’s surprisingly skilled, and he’s very agile in combat.  He’s able to fight the both of us with such ease, that it impresses me.  Then he takes out two daggers and throws them at us, but we luckily dodge the attack.

The murderer then makes a backflip and lands softly to the ground.  Rose throws her knife at him, but she misses, and then the murderer kicks her back, but then I rush to punch him, but he throws me face first into the ground.  Rose and I both thud hard on the floor, and then we look up and see the murderer walk slowly towards us.  Then, he suddenly stops, and looks to the side quickly, as if he heard something strange, or as if he had been called.  He slowly started backing away, and then he ran quickly and disappeared.  Rose and I then get back on our feet and then we look around for the murderer, but he doesn’t appear.  Rose then looks at me and says: “So…do you think he’s a demon?  Because no normal human can disappear like that out of nowhere.”  I ponder her question and then look towards the sky and say: “You may be right…but it’ll be tough to prove that since we’ve only had brief encounters.  And the problem also lies that no one might believe us.  Rufus might be the only person that believes us, because I remember when we encountered the murderer for the first time, and he witnessed the murderer’s impressive speed and teleportation methods.  So we can only hope to rely on Rufus and Derek, if we can find him.  But for now, we just have to be cautious and wait for him to appear again.”  We both then start walking towards the car, until Rose tugs at my arm.  I turn around, and then I open my eyes in shock.

Both of us see many trees fallen down on the ground, and many vines are covered with blood, and we trace the blood until the center, where another eerie blood-written message can be seen.  This time it says: “This is only the beginning of your trials…”  I then think to myself: “What could this mean?  Does this mean that the murderer was merely testing us, to see how strong we are…?”  Rose looks at me and then she says: “Vincent…we need to get a move on now.  We can’t afford to have another day with this murderer loose.”  I nod and say: “Your right.  Now come on, let’s see if we can find some clues.”  Rose then asks: “Where will we look for clues?”  I then look at her and say: “We have to scour the criminal area of the city, and hope to find clues there.”
(End Song Here)

All right everyone, here is Chapter 19!  As I said before, I’m doing my best to post chapters as soon as possible!  I appreciate you all for your patience, and thanks for following my story!  Now then, read on my fellow readers!  And remember that this chapter is from Vincent’s point of view. ^_^

Chapter Nineteen: Disappearance

I drive farther away down the suburbs of the city, and Rose and I are quite, carefully scanning the streets, trying to see if we can find the murderer.  I then look at Rose and hold her hand and say: “We’ll catch him.  I’m sure of it.”  Rose nods and then she keeps looking outside and she sighs and says: “Vincent…do you think it’ll ever end?”  I look at her for a moment then turn my attention to the road once more.  I ask: “What do you mean?”  She then leans on my shoulder and says: “All this violence.  All this senseless fighting, all this sorrow and suffering,  why do so many people have to die, and why does everything have to be so rough?”  I smile at the sound of her voice, so compassionate and innocent and sincere.  I then put my arm around her shoulder and say: “Well Rose, the world will always be filled with violence until the day that the Lord comes down to save us.  Until then, we have to do our best to be good people and make a difference in this world.”  I smile at her and kiss her gently and then keep on driving.

After a few minutes, we arrive to the most deserted part of the suburbs, where the streets are practically empty because of the everyday murders.  Graffiti is plastered on the walls with harsh comments and sexual atrocities.  I sigh and nod in disappointment and then I say to myself: “How is it that society goes this low in life?  Why can’t they go on the path of good instead of resorting to this unnecessary lifestyle?”  I park the car near one of the buildings and then I signal Rose to come out.  She then leans into me and whispers: “We’re being watched.  Be ready for a fight.”  I nod and then we walk cautiously, making sure that we aren’t surrounded by anyone.  Then I take a good look at Rose and admire her.  A woman who’s been through so much…and yet she has the determination and willpower to face life.  She truly is a remarkable person.  I suddenly hear a strange noise and flinch quickly, looking around cautiously for the source of the noise.  Rose then pinpoints the source and she says: “Got it!”  Then I see her knife darting through a thin crack in between two buildings and it hits a thug who was about to shoot us.  I look at Rose with amazement, and she puts her hair to the side of her shoulder and she shrugs and says: “All the years I had honing my other skills have paid off.”  I smile and say: “You’re absolutely right.”

(Start Song Here)
Before I can say anything else, Rose quickly jumps over to where the thug is and she pulls him out and kicks him, demanding him to stand up.  Then she slowly slides the knife out of the thug’s leg, and then she pins him to the wall and puts her knife at his throat, and then she says: “Now then, down to business.  Do you know anything about the murderer who goes on raping and killing children along with their mothers?  And if you do know something, then tell us, or I’ll cut your neck right now!”  The thug opens his eyes wide and pleads for his life, and I can’t help but feel surprised.  She does a better job of intimidating criminals than I do!  It actually made me feel kind of useless for a moment.  But then I shook it off and regained my focus on the situation at hand.  The thug stutters and says: “I don’t know anything about that guy!  I swear that I don’t know!”  Rose clenches her first on the thug’s shirt and says: “Are you sure?  Because my knife here is hungry for some blood…”  The thug then starts laughing and says: “Don’t act so big now…because my boys here will get you!”  At that moment, I look around and notice that we’re being surrounded by the thug’s friends, and they’re all ready for a street brawl. The thug squeals: “Get them!”

Rose rolls her eyes and I see her punch the thug and drop him to the floor, and I hear her say: “Stay right here, I’ll be back with you in a moment.”  Then she goes towards me and then she says: “All right, let’s do this.”  I nod and then we both immediately dash towards the thugs and we start to take them out one by one.  Then one particularly strong thug comes towards me with a pipe and tries to hit me, but I dodge his attacks and punch his arm, but to no avail.  His arms are like concrete, and I can’t even get a scratch on him.  For a second, I think about using my powers, but then I disagree with myself.  These are humans, not demons, so I can’t use powers against them, it wouldn’t be fair.  I sigh and say: “Why do I always have to be such a softy?”  The thug laughs and says: “What are you going on about, punk?”  I then say: “None of your concern chunky.”  The thug growls and says: “That that back you bastard!”  The thug charges towards me, and I notice that I’m being pinned to a wall, and I smile and quickly dart out of the way, and the thug hits his head extremely hard against the concrete wall, causing him to go unconscious.  Then two more thugs try to subdue me with electric batons, but I quickly disarm them and knock them out.  I look back to check on Rose, and I see her taking out the other thugs with ease, and I smirk and think to myself: “What a woman!”
(End Song Here)

Just before Rose and I continue to pummel our foes, the leader weakly says: “Stop now…they’ve beaten us.  Now leave before they decided to kill us…”  The other thugs leave without a word, and only the leader and us remain.  Rose then pins him to the wall again and puts her knife at his throat, and then she says: “Now, where were we?”  The thug then raises his arms up and says: “Oh come on, enough with this already, I already said that I’ll talk!  Hey, dude, try to control your lady here okay?”  I try not to laugh at his comment, but I stay silent and let Rose take the reins on this.  Rose then lets him go and then he starts talking: “Okay, so the thing about this dude is that he was seen around here not too long ago.  Maybe three hours ago.  He was pretty damn quick, and he headed out toward the outskirts of the city.  That’s all I know, I swear.”  Rose then glares at him and asks: “And has he murdered anyone else recently?”  The thug then says: “No, at least not that I know of.  I always check on the news for that guy.  He’s practically the master criminal around here.  He seemed to be looking for something though…”  I nod and say: “Thank you for cooperation.  Now come on rose, let’s go.”  Rose nods and says: “Right.”

We get to my car and then we head for the outskirts of the city, but before we go there, I hear my cell phone ring.  I answer it and say: “Vincent here.”  Then I hear Rufus saying: “Vincent, come to the police office…now.”  I nod and say: “On my way.”  I then look at Rose and she nods and then we both head towards the police office.  A few minutes later, we arrive and we see Rufus at the door of the office pacing back and forth nervously.  Rose and I give each other puzzled looks, and then we head towards him and I say to him: “So Rufus, what’s up, any more leads?”  Rufus then says: “Yes.  But it’s a dangerous situation though.”  Rose then asks: “Why, what do you mean by that?”  Then he takes us to the upper floor of the office and he turns on the laptop and puts the webcam, and, to our shock, we see Derek tied up in a chair, blindfolded.  Rose gasps and she holds onto me, and then I glare at the screen at the sight of Derek’s predicament.  I think to myself: “Damn.  This stupid murderer stoops so damn low!”  We all look at the screen and notice a blood-written message on the wall beside him.  We read the message, which this time says: “Tick Tock, Tick Tock…time is running out.  You won’t stand a chance.”  Before I can be able to say anything to Derek, it seems that someone turns off the webcam and the transmission is cut off.  Rufus paces back and forth nervously and says: “Damn it, what will happen now?”  Then we hear a voice from the far side of the room, and the voice says: “Easy.  We go and rescue the kid, subdue the murderer if he’s there, and arrest him.  Nothing to it.”  Then I see the man walk toward us, clad in a black leather jacket and black jeans, with long silver hair with bangs covering his eyes.  He looks cold and calculating, and just the sight of him brings a chill to my spine.  Rose then asks: “Who’s this guy?”  Rufus then says with much relief: “That’s Agito!  He’s our top policeman!”  I look at Agito and then say: “All right, then it’s settled.  We’ll mount a rescue mission.”

Hello everyone, here is a new chapter!  This one and the next will be from Rose’s point of view!  Please be sure to keep reading my story!  I hope you enjoy the chapter everyone! :D

Chapter Twenty: Recon

I look at Vincent and Agito as they both give each other silent, serious looks, almost as if they’re trying to read each other’s minds.  Then I think to myself: “Great, these guys look like they might go at it.  That’s the last thing we need…a damn rivalry in the middle of this crisis.” I shake my head and go towards them with my arms folded and I say: “Listen you two, we need to focus, so let’s get a move on and rescue Derek already.”  They both look at me and nod and Rufus chuckles to himself quietly.  I smile at Rufus and he rolls his eyes while laughing, giving the impression as though he wants to say: “What will we do with these guys?”  I then turn my attention toward Agito, and he takes out his phone and then says: “All right, I’ve already got Derek’s location pinpointed.  He’s apparently in an abandoned warehouse zone on the outskirts of the city, so all that’s left now is to take precautionary methods and be really careful while approaching the area.  The murderer may have some friends along with him.”  Vincent nods and he says: “And when we go in, we free Derek, get him out of there, and if we find the murderer, we arrest him.”  Agito then says: “Precisely Sherlock.”  I then go towards the door and say: “All right guys, then let’s get to it.”

We go out of the police office and we head towards Vincent’s car, and we start going towards the outskirts of the city.  We remain silent for a while, until Vincent breaks the silence and then asks Agito: “So, how long have you been working as a policeman?”  Agito answers: “A few years, give or take about 13.  I’ve seen my share of things.  I’ve practically experienced any kind of dangerous situation, but this, this is something out of my comfort zone…”  We both look at him and ask at the same time: “What do you mean?” Agito then look at us: “Haven’t you noticed?  This isn’t just any murderer.  Demons have to be involved in this kind of mess.”  At the moment he says that, I see Vincent open his eyes wide and he slams the brakes and we stop abruptly.  There is a silence in the car that looms for a few minutes.  Even I’m still sinking in what I just heard.  Then I ask Agito: “H-how do you know about demons?”  Agito sighs and says: “Because I’ve known about this centuries old conflict between Angels and Demons.  To me, it isn’t anything new.  At first, I didn’t believe anyone when they told me they were being attacked by demons, but then I saw for myself, so during these years, I’ve quietly made a name for myself as a demon hunter.”  Vincent then analyzes Agito’s answer and he says: “I see.  So does that mean that you know that I’m…”  Agito cuts his answer short and says: “A Guardian Angel?  Yes, I already knew that the moment I saw you.  I could sense your Aura.”  Vincent gasps and says: “Incredible!”

Agito then gives us both a quite serious face and he says: “Are you just going to stay here or are we going to the warehouse?”  Then I see Vincent shake his head and then he says: “Right.”  During the drive, I sense a strange presence.  At first, I think it’s Wade, but then I reassure myself that it’s not him, but the Aura is somewhat familiar to his.  After a few minutes, we reach the warehouse zone, and we see that it’s being heavily guarded by a group of thugs.  I then whisper to Vincent and Agito: “So, what now?
(Start Song Here)
I see Vincent scanning the area and he analyzes the situation, and then he says: “There’s too many of them…and even though we’re good fighters, we can’t take them all head on.  We’re going to have to do some recon and find out in which of the warehouses Derek is being held at.  If we do encounter some thugs, we have to kill them stealthily.”  I nod and say: “All right, let’s split up, that way, it’ll be easier to find him.”  Vincent and Agito both nod and they head separate directions, and I head towards the south end of the warehouse zone.  I cautiously walk through the cracks of various warehouses, and I peek through some of them, but no one is there.  Then I come upon a warehouse that’s guarded by two bulky thugs.  I then think to myself: “There has to be a way to go in without getting their attention…”  I then look around to see if there are any cracks in the walls, but I see none.  Then I quietly climb up the roof and notice a gaping hole on the far right side of it.  I carefully crawl through the roof and make sure that I don’t make any noises, and then I jump and land softly to the ground.  I then look around but see that Derek isn’t here.  Then I ask myself: “Why are thugs guarding a warehouse that has nothing to protect?”

Then I hear the door open and I quickly hide behind some crates, and I notice two weaker looking thugs coming inside along with none other than the murderer!  Unfortunately, I can’t see his face, which makes me think that he’s extra careful that he never takes off the hood of his jacket.  He always has his face concealed.  I make sure to stay quiet and then I overhear their conversation.  One of the thugs says: “But boss, are you sure we can trust demons?  They’re a whole different type of bad, and I know that we’re criminals, but at least we don’t go on tampering with stuff we don’t understand!”  The murderer then growls and says in an angry tone and deep voice: “You ignorant fool, are you questioning me!?”  The thug whimpers and says: “N-no boss, but just please, listen to reason!”  Then I hear the other thug say: “He’s right boss!  Things have been going too far, and this Vincent fellow has been going around with Rose trying to find you!  You can’t let them catch you!”  The murderer looks at them and laughs and says: “Ha, you don’t think that I know that?  Those little bastards are just pawns, just waiting to be lured to me.  And as long as I continue running free, I can rape and kill every child that I want. Hmph, they won’t stop me.  Oh, and trust me, I’ll get Rose.  I’ll be sure to get her.  That’s what big brother Wade would’ve wanted.”  One of the thugs then says: “But boss…”  The murderer interrupts and screams: “Enough!  I’ve had enough of you!  Now let’s go to Derek before I decide to kill you!”  Both thugs say in unison: “Yes boss!”  and they quickly go outside, and the murderer goes outside and slams the door shut.
(End Song Here)

I sit there on the floor, analyzing everything that I’ve heard.  The murderer wants to lure us in using Derek as bait. I’ll admit, that he’s playing his cards well.  And then I realize the familiar Aura that I had thought was Wade’s, was in fact, the murderer’s Aura.  I then slowly peek out of the crates and make sure that no one else is around and I walk around the warehouse, just to see if there’s anything else that I might happen to find.  Then I think about Vincent and think to myself: “Vincent, please be okay…”  Then I keep walking around, but I don’t find anything, and then decide to leave, but just when I’m about to climb up the ceiling, the two bulky thugs come inside and they notice me and say: “Well well, what do we have here?”  I curse myself and then I draw my knife and look at both thugs.  I then say: “If you value your lives, you’ll get out of my way and let me go outside.”  One of the bulky thugs says: “Ha, did you listen to the little bitch!?  She actually thinks that she can take us on!  What a joke!”  The other bulky thug says: “Damn, but she sure has a sexy body.  Hey, you know, we should tie her up and we can both bang her!”  The other bulky thug then laughs and says: “Oh, that does sound good!”  I then gasp in disgust and say: “You disgusting pigs!  Who do you think you are!?”  The thugs then get angry and they charge towards me, but I simply push myself upwards by climbing up on them and I kick both of their heads.  They charge towards me again and I wrap my legs around the thug’s neck, and I sling him towards his friend, and they both crash on the crates, and some barrels fall on them, making them go unconscious.  I then smirk and say: “That’s for disrespecting a lady.”  Then I quickly make my way out of the warehouse and I go to find Derek.

Hey there everyone, here is another chapter!  I hope that you’ve all enjoyed the story so far!  When you finish reading this chapter, let me know what you think of the characters so far, and let me know if you think that the story is progressing well by switching the character’s perspective every two chapters.  And without further delay, here is the next chapter, and it’s from Rose’s point of view. ^_^

Chapter Twenty One: Bitterness

I keep going by each warehouse swiftly and silently, checking for any signs of Derek, but I don’t find him anywhere.  I then think to myself: “Hmm, the murderer sure did hide him well.”  I then hear the sound of a trash can falling, and I quickly take cover behind one of the warehouses, and I see a group of thugs patrolling the area, and then I overhear them talking.  One of them says: “Hmph, no one will ever see this coming.  The boss says he’s got a big thing planned for anyone that tries to capture him.”  Another thug says: “Ha, I’m sure it’ll take everyone by surprise.  What do you think is going to be his big plan?”  The other thug laughs and says: “I don’t frickin know.  All I know is that the boss seemed pretty happy about it.”  The thugs keep laughing and then their voices grow distant, giving me the indication that the coast is clear.  Then when I make my way to a clearing between the warehouses, I start to feel an immense headache screeching inside me.  I then kneel to the ground but try not to scream so I don’t get anyone’s attention.  Then I gasp in horror as I see demons scouring through the rooftops of the warehouses, with red eyes gleaming bright.  Then I see a few other thugs in the distance, and they don’t seem to notice the demons.  Then I feel a strange Aura behind me, and when I turn around, I see that it’s none other than Bertram.

Bertram then leans on the wall of the warehouse and he folds his arms and says: “So, how goes the search?”  I then shake my head and say: “For now, we’ve had no luck.  I’ve looked every one of these warehouses and Derek’s nowhere to be found.”  Bertram then nods and says: “I see.  It must be difficult indeed.”  Then I ask him: “Bertram…why is it that just now I saw demons and the thugs over there didn’t even notice them?”  Bertram then chuckles to himself and then he looks up to the sky and says: “That’s because you’ve gained the supernatural ability of Angel Eyes.  Ever since you got your sight back, you haven’t even noticed it.  In addition to being able to see things, you can sense and see demons that prowl around here and anywhere that they may appear.”  I nod and say: “Oh, I see then.  So me getting my sight back also meant gaining this power.”  Bertram nods in approval, and then he turns around and starts walking away and he says: “By the way, I know what you’re thinking.  You won’t be able to find the murderer with your power.  The murderer has a very mysterious and strange way of hiding himself, and it’s so mysterious that I can’t even find him.”  I clench my fists and then say: “Okay…I see.  I just wish I could finally find out who the damn murderer is, so I can finally avenge Tyler’s death.”  But Bertram doesn’t reply, and when I look around, he’s nowhere in sight.  Just as suddenly as he had appeared, he disappeared, with no trace.

I then shake my head and run throughout the warehouse zone, with hope of finding Derek all but fading.  Then I think how Vincent and Agito are doing.  But, seeing as how the thugs are going around their patrols without a care in the world, I think that Vincent and Agito have done a good job of staying hidden.   But before I keep walking towards the next warehouse, I feel as though I’m suddenly pulled down the earth.  I thrash desperately, trying to shake off the feeling, but then, when I look around, I notice that I’m not in the warehouse zone anymore.  I look around cautiously, trying to make out the environment, to see if I can find out where I am.  Then I hear growls emanating from the far side of this strange place.  From what I can see, it’s a strange underground cave, filled with markings and smells of blood.  Then I see a demon accompanied by what seems to be his servants.  The demon looks at me and says: “So, you are the light which the mortal wants to posses.  Hmph, I’ll never understand the desires of humans.  So superficial and ignorant.  I needed to take a look myself.  So, you are Rose I presume?”  I then look up at the demon angrily and shout: “What’s it to you?  I don’t owe you any explanations!”  The demon chuckles and says: “Well, you’re right, it doesn’t concern me.  But allow me to introduce myself.  I am Zutharus, Demon Lord of Darkness, and these are my kinsfolk you see by my side.”  I then look at him and say: “Well, at least you have manners, I’ll give you that.  So what do you want with me?”  Zutharus chuckles and says: “To test your strength and see just how strong you truly are.”  He then raises his hand and sends forth his demon servants to attack me.

(Start Song Here)
I wait for them to approach me, and just when they’re a few feet of distance from me, I dart around them and slit their throats, making sure that I kill them with one swipe of my knife.  Then I jump up and hold on to the ceiling and dart down and slash my knife towards the approaching demons.  I smirk and then look at Zutharus and say: “Is that the best you got?”  The demon stays silent, but smirks and then sends enormous, skeletal dogs towards me.  I then smile and throw my knife at one of them and then I wrap my arms around the other dog’s neck.  I then say: “Your stupid hounds won’t take me out.  You’re going to have to do better than that!”  I then crack the dog’s neck and I run towards Zutharus, and then he commands his demons to halt and he punches me, sending me flying towards the wall.  I feel my neck crack and I fall to the floor, taken by surprise by his attack.  Zutharus walks towards me and he says: “Tell me mortal.  What is it that drives you forward?  What is it that makes you resist evil?”  I then look at him and say: “Because I have one reason.  Vincent Grace.  He’s my true love, and he’s given me enough reason to keep on going!”

Zutharus chuckles and he stops and instead sits down on the floor, and then he looks at me with curiosity and says: “You do know that there will come a time when he will get tired of you.  That he won’t have any use of you.”  I then open my eyes wide and say: “N-no, that’s not true!  He’ll always love me, I know that!”  Zutharus then says: “But what if something happens and you and him are split apart?  What if he dies by some unfortunate accident, or if you die by some accident?  He’ll mourn your loss at first, but then time will pass, and he’ll forget you.  Such is the toll that time takes on mortals.”  I then back away and I start to feel tears swell in my eyes and I say:  “No, that’s not true!  You’re lying!  He won’t ever stop loving me!  I know, because the love he and I share is real!”  Zutharus then chuckles and says: “Are you sure about that?  How do you know that he’s just pretending to love you, and he only wants you for your body?”  I then look down and say almost in a whisper: “No…he’s not like that.  He knew me before I had sight, and he never once made a move on me.  He respected me and my body, and he respected me enough to keep his distance…he’s not the kind of person that only craves sex!”

There’s a momentary silence and then Zutharus says: “I see that your love for him is strong.  I see that you truly do care for him.  All I can say is that you keep yourself on guard, and prepare yourself for the bitterness of sorrow and regret.  You may love him, but when things go wrong, you’ll feel a harsh bitterness in your heart and soul.”  I then start to cry and I shout: “Stop telling me that!  I know that Vincent loves me, and I love him!  Stop trying to stray me away from him!”  When I open my eyes, I see that I’m no longer in the cave, but rather, I’m back in the same area of the warehouse zone that I had been in before I had been sunk into the ground.  I then think about the words that Zutharus said, and I look down and I see the tears dropping down to the ground.  I then think to myself: “Could the love that Vincent and I share really only be an illusion?  Does he really love me…?"

Hey everyone, long time no post!  Damn, it’s been quite a while since I posted the last chapter.  Well, the wait is over!  Here is the next chapter of my story!  Sorry for keeping you all waiting, but as you all know, I’m in my final weeks of High School, so I have to concentrate on school so I can be sure to pass High School with good grades.  Anyways, thank you all for your patience, and enjoy the chapter! ^_^

Chapter Twenty Two: Approach

Agito and I make our way through the seemingly endless maze of warehouses, doing our best to avoid the thugs and trying to find Derek as fast as we can.  Both of us are practically quite, but that’s good.  I have nothing to say to him, and I’m sure he doesn’t have anything to say to me.  While we’re going through the warehouses, my mind shifts towards Rose, and I wonder if she’s doing okay.  I then think to myself: “You idiot, of course she’s all right, you know she can defend herself.  She’s a fighter.”  I smile and keep on walking, until we approach a lot of bodies on the ground.  Agito looks at me and says: “Well this is a disaster area.  I wonder who could have done this?”  I smile and look at him and say: “This was Rose.  She must have encountered these guys on her way to Derek.  Heck, she might have even found him by now.”  Agito looks onward and says: “I wouldn’t be too sure…”  I look towards his direction, and I see Rose kneeling on the ground, with her hands on her face, as if she’s crying.  I then rush quickly toward her and hold her in my arms and I say: “It’s okay Rose, I’m here.  Are you okay?”  Rose then looks at me with her eyes full of tears and she says: “What would you care?  You only want me just so you can use me…nothing more than that…”  I open my eyes wide and shake her and shout: “How would you think something like that!?  Why would you get an idea like that!?  Rose, you know that the love we share is real!  Who’s been playing with your mind?”  Agito sighs and says: “Look, if you guys are going to be arguing, then at least do it in a well hidden spot while I keep looking for Derek.”

I nod and I take Rose to the back of one of the warehouses while Agito goes forward to search for Derek.  I then look at her as she’s still crying, and then I tell her in a calm voice: “Rose, you know that I would never use you.  You know how much I love you, and you know that I love you for you.”  Rose stays quite for a few seconds and then she says, almost in a whisper: “Do you mean that…?”  I nod and say: “Of course I do.  You know that I’m a man of my word, and you know that I would never lie to you or hurt your feelings.”  Rose smiles and she touches my face and we kiss each other passionately, and then she stands up.  She looks at me and then in a sudden moment she grabs me by the arm and says: “Oh, I just remembered!  While I was looking for Derek in one of the warehouses, I eavesdropped on a conversation between the murderer and his thugs.”  I opened my eyes wide and asked her: “And what did you hear?  Did he say his name?”  She folds her arms and says: “Unfortunately, no.  He doesn’t know that we’re here, but he’s clever enough not to mention his name or even take off the hood of his jacket.  He’s very secretive.  I couldn’t even see his face because of the hood.”  I then close my eyes and say: “Hmm, the murderer is smarter than we first thought him to be.  It looks like we’re going to have to delve even deeper into this, for Tyler’s sake.  When we find Derek, we have to make sure that we at least find some clues in the warehouse he’s being kept, to see if we can find anything of vital importance that can lead us to the murderer.”

Rose nods and we both quickly make our way to Agito, who’s on the rooftop of one of the warehouses.  We catch up to him and he points down to the biggest warehouse in the area, where many thugs are surrounding the area.  We all nod and unison and agree with the same point: “Derek’s in there.”  Agito then looks at us and says: “We’re going to have to go through this as carefully as we can.  Even though we’re skilled in combat, it’ll be very difficult to take on this many thugs at once.  So we have to take a very stealthy approach to this.”  I nod and say: “I agree.  We have to go in, take Derek, and get out.  And we need to find something, anything that belongs to the murderer, so we can get a better lead on him.”  We all nod and we carefully make our way down the warehouse and walk through a small alleyway that leads into the big warehouse.  We’re about to go through the back door, but we realize that the warehouse is being guarded in the back too.   Then Rose whispers to my ear and tells me of an opening on the roof of the warehouse.  I nod and tell her to proceed carefully while Agito and I try to lure the guards away from the warehouse.  I see her effortlessly climb up and crawl towards the opening in the roof, and she enters without a sound.  Agito nods and he shoots one of his daggers towards a fence in the far end of the warehouse zone.  As anticipated, the guards head towards the designated position, and Agito and I go inside the warehouse where Derek is being kept, but when we enter, we see Rose growling in anger as, to our surprise, we find no one here.

(Start Song Here)
I look around and then say: “Hmm, he’s very clever.  He must have anticipated this, and so he knew we were coming…in other words, he was expecting us.”  Agito looks around, salvaging anything he can find, and he comes upon a folder with some documents and he says: “Hey guys, this looks interesting.  Take a look.”  I take the folder from his hands and I examine the documents.  They seem to be heavily focused on the murderer, but here’s the most surprising thing, even the documents don’t contain his name or a photo of him.  He’s even smarter than I thought.  It’s as if he’s playing a game of cat and mouse with us. I then give the documents to Rose and say: “Keep these with you at all times.  They could be vital.”  Rose nods and just as we’re about to leave, a nearby radio starts playing and we hear the murderer’s voice, in a mocking tone, and he says: “So, you’ve come in search of your friend.  I’m sorry to tell you, but your efforts are meaningless.  You are just simple cogs in the machine, waiting to be used for a higher purpose.  I’ll give you credit, you’ve done well to come this far.  But you won’t find Derek in here.  Don’t worry though, he’s all right and safe and sound with me.”  Then the radio transmission is cut off, and we hear gunfire, and some bullets make holes in the walls.  Agito then looks through the window and says: “Just great.  They’ve found us.”  We prepare ourselves for the inevitable battle, and the thugs come crashing the door of the warehouse down and they surround us in circles.  They point at us with their guns, and then Rose says: “If you people are so tough, why don’t we fight without the guns?”  The thug laughs and says: “We don’t work like that, so prepare to die!”  He shoots the bullet and I go in front of her, and all of a sudden, the plasma blue blade that had appeared from my hand when I fought Wade appeared again.  Then I repelled the thug and threw him to the ceiling.  The other thugs started firing, and Rose threw daggers to their throats, making them drop in an instant.  Then I swipe more thugs with my blade while Agito picks them off in hand to hand combat.

More thugs come toward us, but we take them down as quickly as they arrive.  Then, all of a sudden, the remaining thugs explode and we’re bathed in blood.  I look to the sky to see what happened, and to my shock, I see a giant skeletal eagle swoop down on us with it’s razor sharp talons.  Agito tries to get on it and crack it’s bones, but the eagle simply swipes him off to the far side of the warehouse zone.  Rose then looks at the eagle and she looks at me and says: “Well Vincent, it looks like we’re going to have to take care of this ourselves.”  I smile at her and say: “Don’t we always?”  We both nod and we leap high in the air, and then I see Rose’s hand produce a whip of light, and she strangles the eagle while I swoop down with my plasma blade.  The eagle throws us down hard, but we manage to land quite impressively.  Rose looks at me with a smirk and she says: “Are you sure you can handle this?”  I smile and say: “Oh trust me, I think I’m getting the hang of this sword.”  We both smile and we charge towards the eagle, ready to fight.
(End Song Here)

Hello there everyone, here’s the latest chapter of my story.  Again, I apologize for the delay on chapters, but I just finished High School and I’ve been spending time with my family.  But don’t worry, this story I’ll make sure to see it to the end, just like I did with my first story The Keyblade War.  So then everyone, without further ado, here’s the next chapter!

Chapter Twenty Three: Strike

(Start Song Here)
Rose and I quickly charge towards the skeletal eagle, and the eagle just flies up and swoops its wings with mighty force, sending tremendous gusts of wind towards us.  I dodge the gusts of wind and then shift my sword into a lance and throw it towards our winged opponent, but I don’t manage to wound it.  Rose then climbs on the roofs of the warehouses and she climbs on top of the eagle and stabs her knife on its skull, but the eagle simply shakes her off and she falls to the ground.  I look at her and shout: “Are you okay?”  She nods and says: “Yeah, don’t worry, it’s nothing!”  I nod and then I run towards the eagle and try to aim for its talons with my sword, but it simply flies up and swoops down and tackles me.  I roll on the ground and I look up at the eagle as it starts shooting blue beams of electricity from its beak.  I then think to myself: “Great, just what we need, an electric bird.”  Rose and I try to reach the eagle, but then we hear a gunshot echo through the entire warehouse zone, and then we see the eagle fall down.  When we look towards the direction of the gunshot, we see Agito with a sniper, and then he looks at us and says: “You guys were in a bind, so it was about time I shot that damn bird out of the sky.”  I smile and then look at him and say: “Boy, am I glad to see you in one piece.”

Before Agito replies, an explosion deafens our ears.  We see one of the warehouses explode, and then another, and another, and another.  Rose shouts to us and says: “Don’t just stand there, run!”  Then we all start to run, and in the meantime, we see a helicopter in the sky, and we can hear the murderer’s voice through a speaker saying: “Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.  You are all just tiny little pieces of the board, waiting to be wiped out.”  Then the helicopter starts firing at us, and we run faster, hoping that none of the bullets hits us.  We keep running until we finally get out of the warehouse zone, and we see it explode in a giant gust of wind and smoke and fire.  Agito looks at the explosion and nods in disappointment and says: “Damn, we were this close to capturing the murderer, and now he’s gone and blown up the whole place, just so we can’t have any evidence leading to him.  What a letdown.”  Rose and I exchange looks, and then I pat Agito’s shoulder and say: “It’s okay.  The important thing now is that we’re alive and we can keep on investigating.  And besides, at least we know Derek’s not here, otherwise, this would have really been a failed mission.  And also, Rose has the folder with the documents, so at least we came out with more than we thought we would find.”  Agito nods and says: “True enough.  But now we have to be on our toes.  He’s seen us now, his thugs have seen us, and we’ve just signed our death warrant.  He’ll wage war against us, to make sure that we don’t sniff him out.  So, if it’s a war he wants, it’s a war he’ll get.  And besides, I got you, the Shiny Guardian Angel, and we’ve got Rose, our deadly beautiful assassin.”  I smile and say: “True, and we’ve got you, the grim sniper.”  Agito smirks and says: “Hmm, grim sniper.  I like that.  It has a nice ring to it.”

We then head towards my car and go back towards the city, but on the way there, we’re surrounded by more cars, and then we’re forced to come out.  Rose then looks at the cars and says: “Well, it’s like Agito says, now the thugs are after us.”  I shrug my shoulders and say: “Hey, not to worry.  It’s not like they can actually beat us.”  The thugs then charge toward us and we dodge their attacks and strike back.  I fend them off with my sword and send them hurling down to the river below, and then I look to the corner of my eye, and I see Rose taking care of them just fine.  I smirk and think to myself: “Good Lord Vincent, that’s one hell of a gal.”  Then I hear bones crack, and when I look back, I see Rose throwing a bunch of the thugs down the river, and then she goes towards the left and keep bashing away at them.  Then I see Agito taking them down with swift and brutal martial arts movements.  For now, we’re winning this battle, until we hear one of the thugs shout: “Bring down the guns!”  Agito then screams: “Guys, take cover!”  We run away from the cars and make our way to the forest and we take cover behind the trees.  Agito then throws us some pistols and he says: “Just aim, and fire.”  We nod and we start shooting at the thugs.  They show much persistence, and they almost manage to shoot one of our heads off, but we take cover quickly and keep firing at them.

I look at Rose and she smiles at me and says: “Some day huh?”  I roll my eyes and say: “Tell me about it.”  We then shoot down the thugs, and then the gunfire stops.   Agito is the first one to take a peek towards the other side of the battlefield, and he sees no one, and he tells us to get a move on.  We go towards him, and then we see a huge, ten feet tall thug, with enormous muscles, making its way toward us.  Agito aims for the thug’s heart, but the bullet ricochets through the trees, and we all open our eyes wide.  Agito then says: “It looks like we’ve got a freak here!”  I then look at the thug and think for a split second and then I shout: “Split up, now!”  As I finish saying those words, the thug strikes his arm down, causing one of the trees to break with a sickening cracking sound, and then he throws the fallen tree at us, and we barely dodge his attack.  We then run through the forest, hoping to confuse the thug and make him search for only one of us so we can take him down quickly.  But, apparently, he’s not a dumb giant like the ones you see in movies or cartoons.  I roll my eyes and say: “Damn, just our luck…”  Rose then throws a rock to the back of the thug’s head, and he turns around and charges towards her, and she barely dodges his tackle, and she sends him hurling to the ground.  Agito then says: “Damn.  Good job Rose, you knocked him down!”  Rose then urges us to stay back and she says: “Don’t celebrate just yet.”

Just as Rose is about to deal the finishing blow to the thug, he swipes his arm with great force, causing her back to get hit against a nearby tree, and she falls unconscious.  I open my eyes wide and yell in rage and shout: “Rose!!!”  Agito holds me by the arm and he says: “You idiot, we have to take this thing out, otherwise you won’t even be able to check on Ms. Assassin over there!”  I growl underneath my breath but realize that he’s right, and we both move quickly, sidestepping against the thug, trying to disorient him.  Then Agito climbs up the thug’s back and he implants blinding gas and he kicks the thug away from him.  Agito then smirks and says: “That ought to do it.  Now we just have to find his weak spot.”  I nod and then I attentively look at his body, trying to find an opening in his seemingly buffed up armor, and I notice a tiny opening hear the end of his spine.  I then go running towards the thug, aiming for that spot.  I shout out to Agito and tell him: “Give me some cover!”  He nods and says: “Will do!”

He starts to shoot at the thug to enrage it while I make my way closer to the thug.  I aim for his spine, but the thug takes me in his grip and he says: “Ha, you thought you could take me out that easy!  You ignorant bastard!  You’ll die now!”  As he says that, I feel his grip tighten, and I start to run out of breath, as he’s squeezing the life out of me.  I then struggle to get out of his grip, and then Agito shoots at the thug’s hand, making him release me.  The thug screams in pain and then he charges towards Agito in pure rage.  I then take a few breathes and start running towards the thug again, while Agito keeps shooting at him.  Agito then shouts: “Uh, Vincent, I think now might be a good time for you to frickin kill this bundle of joy!”  I shout to him: “I’m on it, I’m on it!”  I then slide down the ground and I jump towards the thug’s back and I hold on to his arms and then summon my sword and I pierce it to his spine, and the thug screams of agony and he falls to the floor, motionless.  I then go toward Agito and ask: “Are you okay?”  Agito looks at me and says: “Well, despite the fact that I almost got killed by a frickin giant, yeah, I’m okay.”  I smile and then I make my way towards Rose, and I hold her in my arms, and then she slowly opens her eyes and asks: “Did we win?”  I nod and say: “Yes, but don’t worry about that now.  The important thing is that you’re safe.”  I then place my hand on her back and heal her wound, and then I feel a sense of relief, knowing that Rose is safe.  Then we hear the thugs’ cars leave, and Agito heads towards us and says: “All right guys, come on, playtime’s over.  We have to get going.  Now.”
(End Song Here)

Good afternoon everyone!  As promised, here’s another chapter!  I hope you all continue to keep reading my story!  Oh, and for those who are on their final school exams, good luck to you!  Now then, here’s the chapter, and remember that it’s from Rose’s point of view. :3

Chapter Twenty Four: Unexpected

Agito urges us to get a move on, and we make our way to Vincent’s car, only to find it in pieces.  Vincent then growls angrily and says: “I should have expected this.  Great, now it’ll be a lot more difficult to travel around the city.”  Agito then goes towards him and says: “Don’t worry.  Luckily, I’m also good with cars, so I can be able to fix this up, free of charge.”  Vincent sighs of relief and he hugs Agito and says: “Thank you.  You are a life saver.”  Agito then brushes him off and says: “Yeah, yeah, don’t get all mushy on me.  Now let’s get working on the car, I’ll need your help.”  Vincent nods and they start working on the car while I sit in front of them and watch.  I find it interesting how they go about fixing the car.  Then, all of a sudden, I hear a strange noise, coming from the distance, and I look over my shoulder, and then I notice the silhouette of a demon.  I then think to myself: “Hmm, the powers Bertram told me about are kicking in.”  I then decide to scour the area for the demon, so I stand up and look back at Agito and Vincent and I say: “Guys, I’m going to take a look around.  I won’t be long.”  Vincent nods and says: “You be careful out there.” while Agito simply waves his hand dismissingly.  I smile and nod and then make my way down the forest path.

(Start Song Here)
I walk for a while, and I look up and admire the scenery and think to myself: “All these years that I hadn’t been able to see, and now I can finally be able to see all the wonder and beauty of this world.”  I smile to myself and keep walking.  After a few minutes, I make my way to a small riverbank, and I look at the ground and notice some footprints here and there.  I look at them and analyze them and then I think to myself: “This can’t be from a human, of that much I’m sure…”  I then keep following the trail until I come upon a big stone wall, and just as I’m about to keep walking, I hear voices, and I decide to hear through the wall to see who’s talking.  I listen closely and then asses that there are about three individuals, two of them demon…and the other one human.  Then I overhear the conversation, and I hear, to no surprise, the murderer’s voice.  He sounds angry, and he says to the demons: “You idiots, don’t you understand!?  If you come now, you’ll blow my cover, and they’ll get that much closer to sniffing us out!”  Then one of the demons says: “The Esteemed One is growing impatient of your dawdling, and he advises for you to get a move on, or your soul will go to him.”  Then the murderer says: “I know that…but you need to give me more time.  I literally have Rose and Vincent in my hands!”  The other demon then says: “Then if you claim you have the situation under control, then why are you taking so long to finish them off?”

After that, there’s a long silence, and I stay still, making sure that they don’t detect me.  After a few seconds, I hear the murderer say: “Because I am observing them, making sure that I can strike them when the time is right.  And besides, with Tyler’s case, they’re practically following me…”  One of the demons laughs and says: “Ha!  This stupid mortal is in love with Rose, isn’t he?”  The other demon then says: “Most likely.  Otherwise, she would already be dead.”  I then smirk and think to myself: “You bastards, even if he didn’t have feelings for me, I wouldn’t go down that easily.”  Then I keep hearing their conversation.  The demon then says: “So, how long do you expect to keep up this farce?  Sooner or later, they will find out who you are.  And your cover will be blown.”  The murderer angrily replies: “I have that covered, there’s no need for you to worry!  Would you stop pestering me and let me do my work!?”  The other demon snorts mockingly and says: “Hmph, don’t blame us, we’re just the messengers.  But know this, mortal.  Your time is running out.”  Then they leave and the murderer stays there, and just as I’m about to leave he says: “You can come out of your little hiding spot Rose, I already knew you were there.”  I gasp and then think to myself: “How did he know I was listening!?”  At first I think of stabbing him with my knife, but I notice that he’s not even making a move towards me.  The murderer then says: “Have a seat Rose.  I think it’s about time you and I had a little talk.”

I look at him surprised, but then I shake my head and tackle him and grab him by the neck, and then I scream at him: “Do you know how much suffering you’ve caused me!?  You murdered Tyler!  You raped and murdered him, and you killed his mother!  And you expect me to talk to you like if you were a normal person!?  I hate you!  I hate you so much!”  The murderer brushes me off and sits on a nearby tree stump and he says: “I know that you hate me, and with good reason.  But hatred is an ugly beast…and if you let it take root, your soul will become corrupted, and your heart clouded by darkness.”  I look at him in disbelief and then I say in a challenging tone: “Why don’t you just take your chance and kill me now!?  I’m alone and without any aid!”  The murderer stays silent and then, after a few seconds he says: “Don’t get me wrong, I am planning to kill you, but I find that now it’s not the time or place to do so.”  I look at him angrily and then think to myself: “Is this all a damn game to him!?”

The murderer then looks up at the sky, and then I say to him: “At least take off your damn hood so I can finally get a look at your disgusting face!”  The murderer chuckles to himself and he says: “Now’s not the time for that either.”  I then growl and throw my knife to his head, but he catches it with his fingers, and he throws it to the ground in between my feet and he says: “Rose, if you’re going to kill me, at least do so with more skill.”  I then angrily pick up my knife and tears of rage and frustration start to form in my eyes, and I ask him: “At least tell me why.  Why did you kill Tyler?  Why did you kidnap Derek?  And where is he?”  The murderer folds his arms and looks towards the distance and he says: “I had no choice…I had to follow in my brother’s footsteps.  I had to continue the family legacy…and as for Derek, I won’t tell you anything…”  I then look at him and shock and say: “Your wrong.  Everyone has a choice.  Just because your brother was a serial killer doesn’t mean that you have to do the same thing he did!  You are your own person!  You are your own soul!  So don’t give me any crap of not having a choice, because everyone has a choice!”

I clench my fists and I punch him right in the jaw, and he falls to the ground.  I wait for him to fight back, but he doesn’t, which makes me even angrier.  I then say to him: “What’s the matter?  Now you don’t want to fight?”  He simply stands up and looks at me and says: “You’ll see Rose.  In time, you’ll see the truth of things…and then end will soon come for you.  It’s nothing personal…it’s just, family…”  Before I ask him anything more, he vanishes, and I’m left there, confused and dumbstruck.  He had the chance to kill me, but he didn’t.  It was all very strange.  Then I hear Vincent calling out to me, and I go back towards him.  Then I think to myself: “What the hell is the murderer planning?”
(End Song Here)
