Reyn 1,755 Posted March 14, 2013 Like, what things will you do in the beginning to make it easier? For me, im starting in Proud Mode for my first run, as ill clear out most of the trophies in it. Im going to start with the Shield for the first and probably last time ever , so i start with extra defense and i can get Lucky Strike for Sora faster, which will help immensely with the synthesis. Ill give up the staff(For reasons ill explain later in this comment) so i can keep a balanced amount of Offense. I'll try grinding for awhile in DI(this'll lessen my chances of getting Speedster, but im not thinking ill get it anyway in the Proud playthrough), because if you lose there, you only lose the battle but don't get a game over. What are your strategies you have planned? Here is why, im giving up the staff: (IMHO, KH 1 is the only KH game in which Magic is way more limited than in the others. I mean, most spells in the game take up 1 block of MP by the end of the game, not to mention the special moves(Ars Arcanum, Strike Raid) which take up more, and you end up using all of your MP and Elixirs/Ethers up quickly in the harder fights. Sure, there's always MP rage, but its not like it restores a block of MP per hit, its not as useful as other abilities are for the other KH games. In the other games like KH2, you get abilities to refill your MP alot faster, and in COM, where with Elixirs(which you keep in your deck permanently if you don't edit them out, and even if you use them you still have them for other fights) will restore everything, and you can reload commands. In BBS and DDD, by the end of the game, you will have a ton of Magic/Attack hastes equipped(At least, i assume most of you would) and the commands recharge alot faster. Im just saying, KH 1 is the one KH game where Magic is more limited than the others. )
Weiss 8,279 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) I'm probably going to go for the easier trophies on proud mode first, beating bosses and tournaments and etc. Then I'll move down to standard mode to get that trophy if the clearing the game trophies aren't stackable as well as getting most of the other trophies I didn't get in my proud run. Then I'll probably get the speedrun trophy on beginner. Edited March 14, 2013 by Weiss 1 Reyn reacted to this
CloakedSchemerX 1,011 Posted March 14, 2013 Beginner mode, choose shield give up staff, speedster *SAVE OVER FILE TO SAVE MEMORY* Standard mode, choose staff give up sword (just for the lulz), undefeated (is that what its called...? Well, without continues.) *SAVE OVER FILE* Proud mode, choose sword give up staff, everything else inclusing the tournaments, extra bosses, etc.
Indecypher 495 Posted March 14, 2013 I'll make my route later depending on if the trophies stack.
AaySquare 445 Posted March 14, 2013 Hopefully the difficulty trophies will stack. If yes, then I'll start with proud also and get most of the trophies there. Then next playthrough in the beginner mode for the speed run trophy.
Mila 37 Posted March 14, 2013 I think I won't go for Platinum, but I'll try to do this: 1. Normal: try to do Undefeated and all extra stuff like secret bosses etc (<- main save file) 2. Beginner: try to do Speedster and Unchanging Amor 3. Proud: just for the Trophy
Tetsujin 43 Posted March 14, 2013 1: Proud Mode; getting everything, beating secret bosses etc, Undefeated trophy 2: Beginner Mode; Speedster and Unchanging Armor (Undefeated in case I die during my first playthrough and don't feel like loading a save file...) 3: ???? 4: PROFIT!!! RoxSox 3,593 Posted March 14, 2013 Don't make to specific of a plan for yourself... I don't think it will, but there's always a chance the list could change for international release. But, I'll do a beginner and try to get Speedster, Unchanging Armor, and maybe Undefeated. And then I'll do a Proud, and do everything else. Synthesis, Colliseum matches, Bosses... not much use for a normal/standard run.
KH4Real 749 Posted March 14, 2013 I'll start first on standard to fight later the secret bosses. And probably to train to lvl100. If you need to do beginner seperately I'm doing speedster, undefeated and unchanging armor. As for proud I'll mayby choose undefeated or speedster if you don't need to do beginner seperately.
