First of all... butthole roulette? Really?

Second of all, there aren't any confirmed pairings at all, it looks like you're pretty much trying to say that anything that isn't canon isn't allowed to be shipped. Again, really? Do you even get what shipping means? I posted a wikipedia link.

Third, I was obviously kidding there. There's this entry when Axel and Xion stop showing up on the clock tower in which he says "My hands get all sticky, and all I taste is the salt" which made people start saying Ice cream was a metaphor for sex

1. Okay, that may have been a little over the line, I apologize.

2. I'm not saying that at all. I never said there was a confirmed anything in this series. I implied it, yes, but that was because I was speaking upon shipping as a whole rather than just Kingdom Hearts. All that I am saying is that two fictional characters that are both guys, both girls, or whatever being shipped sounds wrong if there are no reasons to have that ship created in the first place, or, people just decided to play God and do whatever they see fit, ergo, CRACK SHIPS. AkuRoku is a crack ship. Why? Simple. Kingdom Hearts's main theme is friendship, and here we have fans making two of the characters a gay couple for reasons of their own beliefs, completely ignoring and somewhat disrespecting the fact that they have no sexual interaction whatsoever, and that they instead take the level of affection that is really being shown between these two characters to a level where it should not go. THAT is my beef with this ship.

3. Oh yeah... that well written piece of dialogue... friggin' people and their minds in the gutter...

Technically it's ephebophelia (Ruran ninja'd me), but I don't ship the two.  I don't have a taste for same-sex pairings, and I dislike shipping in general in works that emphasize friendship.  As a rule, I don't allow myself to ship characters on the basis of it being "cute," as in, "Oh, wouldn't X and Y look good as a couple?"  It doesn't matter how cute even I think two characters would look together; I still don't let myself do it out of principle.  Regardless of canon or a lack thereof, I refuse to associate myself with shippers based on my disgust for people insisting on taking any kind of closeness and putting it into a romantic context, like the only important dynamic between two people is when they're romantically inclined.  It's an unhealthy and closed-minded viewpoint, I think, and it's indirectly reflected in the insistence on focusing on pairings above all else.
