Kinode 3,056 Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) EDIT FROM 2020: Akuroku is definitely pedophilia in every capacity lmao sorry for posting this when i was a kid Topic. Roxas is 14-15, and Lea is... unconfirmed. He looked about 13 on BBS, so he should be about 24 right now. I mean, if you go by modern age of consent stuff... Lea's over 18. Roxas is 9 years younger than him. So atm, it kinda is, even if it's an adorable ship. a couple more years in-game and it should be one hella fine of a ship. (Imagine older Roxas. 17-year old Roxas, yes please) We could also consider Roxas's mental age, which, considering his lifetime and actual age since birth, is of a 2-year old. But in-game he has the maturity and knowledge of a common 14-year old. There's also the possibility that nobodies didn't actually age, but since they had hearts, they probably did. After all, they did get older-looking and acquired new experiences, memories and grew, so I guess they did. Surprisingly, I do think it'd be pedophilia if they ever had sex or anything. I'm not okay with M rated Akuroku fanfics/doujinshis, but I definitely approve the romance. Edit: just to clarify, by not okay I mean that I don't like reading them but I mean do what you like to do it's none of my business Edited August 11, 2020 by Kinode 1 Geralt reacted to this

Junko 2,815 Posted March 9, 2013 without the sexual activity, then no it's not pedophilia (plus i never like rated M fanfics or doujins anyways)
Javelin434 3,164 Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) On basis of societal technicality, yes it would be pedophilia, but the bromance is just too overwhelming that I'm willing to let it slide xDRemember: when it comes to true love, age is but a number... Hei 3,233 Posted March 9, 2013 What I don't understand is that they aren't gay at all, but people put them together. Nothing wrong with yaoi, but just why with characters who aren't gay. But yeah it would be pretty creep and pedo like.

_The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted March 9, 2013 The fangirls make this pairing disturbing in doujinshis, in my opinion. I used to be a fan, but even then it was only for fluff. Now I dislike it for the some of the insane fans. And I think of Axel and Roxas having a very close bond, like brothers. 1 Kinode reacted to this

It honestly makes sense to me to ship them. You'll find that with any fandom, and it's really normal. "Oh, I would love to see these two characters end up together, even though it'll never happen" or "I really hope they do end up together!" are things you think when you ship characters. Or just "They'd look really cute on a relationship" or pretty much anything.

ssceles 134 Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) I think a lot of people are slow to really think about this, but I've never minded. I always try to consider Roxas as being at least 16, even if he should only technically be Sora's age. Sixteen is the age of consent where I live, and I was in a relationship with someone three years older than me and had to make sure no one was going to throw a legal hissy fit over it, so I bothered to look it up. Your parents still have a say in most everything until you're 18, but at 16, you can at least speak for yourself in court and you're considered old enough to comprehend large life decisions. Incidentally, though, my favorite relationship in this game has to do with Xehanort's Heartless and Riku. I don't go out of my way to treat it as a sexual relationship, but on the same terms as the above, considering the younger party to be older... Riku at 18? It -is- okay, then. If there's nine to ten years between Roxas and Axel, then make a reality check based on Terra's age to Riku's. I'd say it's eleven or twelve years apart, but consider both pairings are way past a sane four year age gap, where is the line of hypocrisy drawn? We already our fun with 'Do Nobodies age?' and got rudely awakened to the fact that yes, they do - look at Zexion. I can't say Heartless do not age. Then again, I can consider them to be monsters, and we all know how much society loves vampires with teenagers. Edward and Bella, and everyone just looooooooved that. =_=On a final note, to anyone who has ever liked Sephiroth and Cloud together? You're also looking at the same ten year gap. Firaga 5,947 Posted March 9, 2013 I am not a homophobe. I just feel that gay shipping is a middle finger to some characters and franchises. Especially if that certain ship is created based on little to no groundwork to the point where it's flat out ridiculous. AkuRoku is a perfect example. Caity 3,946 Posted March 9, 2013 I always saw them more of a Bromance than a couple to begin with... But based on that if they had a sexual relationship while he's still a minor then yes it's pedophilia. Otherwise Lea just likes himself a toyboy. Ruran 481 Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) I feel that I should point out that it's no where stated what any of the character's sexualities are. Since the series revolves around friendship most of the characters don't show interest in anyone one way or another. With that said I consider every pairing outside of the Disney characters as crack pairings or at least on likely to happen in the long run. I don't care what people like so long as everyone is aware of how the canon works. Pair Sora x Xehanort, Pete x Kairi, or Pluto x Minnie if you like, so long as the boundaries between head-canon and real canon are minded. Kinode 3,056 Posted March 10, 2013 For god sakes Kindoe it`s a video game, unless he`s kissing him and shit then no But that is exactly what I mean. I mean Akuroku as a ship. As in the belief of them being in a relationship together or just the idea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping_%28fandom%29 I feel that I should point out that it's no where stated what any of the character's sexualities are. Since the series revolves around friendship most of the characters don't show interest in anyone one way or another. Pair Sora x Xehanort, Pete x Kairi, or Pluto x Minnie if you like, so long as the boundaries between head-canon and real canon are minded. I think anyone has the right to ship whatever they want whether they want it in the canon or not??? Like sokai for example. Most people consider it practically canon, even though it s not confirmed. Just like some people consider Soriku canon, and akuroku canon, and namiroku canon... That's friendship, not a sign to play butthole roulette. The last two points I don't want to comment on... because, uh, we've seen groups of people eat Sea Salt Ice Cream together, so if you're suggesting that eating it leads to sex, then... holy smokes, baloney, fudge and mustard, I don't want to think about it... First of all... butthole roulette? Really? Second of all, there aren't any confirmed pairings at all, it looks like you're pretty much trying to say that anything that isn't canon isn't allowed to be shipped. Again, really? Do you even get what shipping means? I posted a wikipedia link. Third, I was obviously kidding there. There's this entry when Axel and Xion stop showing up on the clock tower in which he says "My hands get all sticky, and all I taste is the salt" which made people start saying Ice cream was a metaphor for sex
Kaiso 2,764 Posted March 10, 2013 See what I like about the KH series is how no actual canon pairing is ever really established 100% and there's always that uncertainty of two characters' relationshp between one another and where it stands that allows a fan to ship them if they wish to do so. It's all about how a fan wishes to interpret the relationships and it allows them to ship them romantically or even as friends!! It doesn't matter because the KH series leaves that whole thing open and I hope it always stays that way. Congrats on the people not liking the thing the people who like the thing do not care that you do not like the thing they don't bash your ships dont bash their ships but no i dont consider akuroku to be that 3 Kinode, GreeNuu and Ivan reacted to this
