"You had to fix something?" Yuuka asked, obviously worried.

"Did you even know what happened? You really creep me out when you do that..." she snapped.

Marcus grimaced.

"Yeah, sorry." he said. "Couldn't be helped."

He then broke out into a grin.

"But..."

He threw himself back, rolling up his back towards his head.

[Nexus Shift]

Instead of Marcus, Annistha completed the roll and went into a handstand. She pushed off the ground, twisted in midair, and landed on her feet.

"...is was all work it." she finished.

She grinned at the gathered faces.

"Roll call."

[Nexus Shift]

Marcus bowed slightly to Zion.

"For the new face, I'm Marcus." he introduced himself.

[Nexus Shift]

Annistha spread her arms out and bowed more theatrically.

"And for everybody, I am Annistha."

[Nexus Shift]

Drave crossed his arms.

"Drave." he grunted.

He looked at Yuuka and nodded to her.

"Oh...this makes much more sense now..." Yuuka mumbled to herself.

She looked up at Dave whom Marcus/Nexus took form of now.

"So...you are three people...?" she asked, slightly confused.

"Well. Um. I just have my eyes change. Not a full change..."

Sione blinked. -Interesting. Annistha's cute.-

"Ignore her..." zion sighed.

[Destiny Islands, Four vs. Riku]

 

Four’s eyes widened as the ball of black fire sped towards him.  He braced for impact, tightening up as Riku’s dark magic splashed around him. When the darkness cleared, Riku was gone. Four’s heart raced, his mind contemplating everywhere his adversary could be. Suddenly, he heard the sound of metal impacting metal; and then felt a terrible crushing sensation on his left shoulder.

He collapsed to his knees, a crushing pain shooting through his shoulder. Before he can contemplate healing himself, the sound of air rapidly parting ways coming in from behind him forced him to think otherwise. Instinctively, he rolled onto his back and raised his keyblade into a blocking stance that successfully stopped an attack; his renewal block taking effect in the process. Thank you, training! With his right leg he kicked Riku away and jumped up, giving himself valuable distance from the enemy. While Riku was stumbling back and trying to recover from the unconventional attack, Four sprinted towards him with a now clear intention of striking him down. He slashed at Riku in an uppercut fashion.

[Nexus Shift]

"There is three of us in here, yes." Marcus answered. "We were students of a Keyblade Master who was a ally of Master Xehanort. Our master had a theory that you could use three hearts to get the X-Blade, believing that they would equal out to two pure hearts of Light and Darkness. I supplied the majority of the Light, Drave the Dark and Annistha was our balance."

[Nexus Shift]

Annistha sighed.

"Well, needless to say, it went wrong." she added. "Our hearts were part way fused together and our bodies were destroyed. Our Master saved our heart, but at the cost of his life. Then, Xehanort locked us away."

She took on a sour expression.

"Till he decided we were useful to his worlds domination plans."

[Arya Stark 1,337]

Lyon shook her head in confusion. "You know what... I'm just going to accept this. It doesn't make much sense, but nothing else does either." She said, giving up on logic, like ever KH fan before her. "But back to where we were before you decided to turn into three people. I'm glad that we have another ally." She gestured to Zion. "And I guess technically, two other people." she continued, referring to Drave and Annistha. "But we still need some more people on our side before we try to take on the Organization."

Neena smiled and finished walking through the corridor. She spawned on a rooftop in the fourth district. Neena regulated her breathing, and started trying to sense one specific aura in the mass of them in Traverse Town. She happened upon one that was switching between light, dark, and neutral. 'Interesting, but not what I'm looking for.' She thought, and continued looking. That's when she sensed it. An aura that had inherited a keyblade, and was strong with light. Not just any light, but light similar to her own. Excitement ran through her. "Found her!" she practically yelled, turning back to Terry. "She's here. Maybe close by."

Zion looked at Lyon innocently as she whipped out and put on her Keyblade Master circlet.

"Does a fleet of top of the line Gummi warships backed by a few Keyblade Wielders and a shopaholic half fairy and two Commander Shepards fit the bill?" She aaked innocently.

"That's rude...." Yuuka sighed.

"Well, shall we go do something productive since it is getting late and so far I have done really noting but fight Terranort today?" she asked, looking up at Annistha now.

Riku held his keyblade horizontally towards the incoming strike, blocking the uppercut before it could get as high as his waste.

 

He grunted, using brute strength to hold down the boy's keyblade with his own and slowly moved his free hand towards him.

 

He slowly grinned. as dark fire began to form in his open palm.

{Terranort}

Terranort felt relieved. She was here and they could find her. He then remembered telling Reneal to attack Light users that she found.

"Which way?" he asked, mentally cursing himself for not...well, just something different.

 

{Nexus}

Annistha grinned at Yuuka.

"I wouldn't say that." she said. "You helped us get free. That counts for something in our book."

She then glanced over to Sion.

"And what did you say about Gummi ships? With a..."

Annistha's voice trailed off as she got a far away look in her eyes.

[Nexus Shift]

Drave sniffed the air and scowled.

"Another that bears Xehanort's scent is here."

He tested the air again.

"Our old handler." he growled.

[Destiny Islands, Four vs. Riku]

 

Four struggled to maintain momentum; his grip weakening with every moment as the attack lingered on.  He was using as much strength that he safely considered using, and was eventually halted halfway through the stroke. As he was trying to formulate his next attack move, a shadow-black orb was materializing out of the corner of his left eye. Four's heart raced as he realized that it was an attempt for a quick and easy counter-attack. He promptly reacted with a disarming sleight; loosening his right arm and sliding his keyblade alongside Riku's in the same uppercut fashion. Using a wide C-stroke motion on his grip, Four pulled his keyblade away from Riku in the opposite direction of the uppercut. He heard the satisfying clink of metal striking metal as the crown end of both their keyblades interlocked. He felt the hesitation of his own keyblade from proceeding further into the dangerous dance of the two keyblade wielders and pulled hard, sending Riku's keyblade into the wooden planks behind him. Using his free left hand he raised it and grappled onto Riku's swiftly approaching wrists, effectively stopping the counter-attack. Riku was now immobilized on one of his arms and unarmed.

 

"Checkmate, Riku."

"Not quite."

 

The dark firaga exploded out of Riku's hand towards the boy at nearly point blank range.

"Not quite."

Uh-oh.

 

There was no time for him to block the attack; Four tensed every muscle in his body as he braced for impact. His field of view became pitch black as the dark firaga exploded, singing his armor and sending him careening uncontrollably towards the ocean. Four was knocked out by the blast, but managed to recover just moments before impacting the ocean. The stinging pain and heat from the attack suddenly gave way to a feeling of an enveloping coolness as he impacted the calm ocean. As he was sinking, Four relaxed his body. The calm serenity of the ocean was inviting and comforting, but he knew he had other pressing matters to attend to. In a graceful single motion, Four oriented himself towards the surface of the water. He broke through and gasped for air, looking around intently trying to figure out where Riku would strike next. He stared towards the island, and listened carefully for the sound of any impending danger.

"We don't want to mess with a Nort. So Zion, those gummi ships gonna pick us up?" Lyon said worriedly.

Neena held her hand out and sensed again. "This way!" She called, switching into dark form. Neena used her supreme speed to run, jump, and climb among the rooftops. She made her way to the third district. Looking down she saw a few people. Neena sensed again, then jumped down. She tackled Lyon in a hug. "Lyon, I found you. I found my baby..." she cried. Lyon pushed Neena away and walked backwards a few steps, summoning Redemption.

"Demon! Uh, go away." She said, a little disturbed. Neena wiped away her tears and backed up a little too.

"Bad first impression huh?" she said, and she turned back into regular form.

Mularia appeared behind Four and ferociously launched the boy back onto the island with the back of his scythe. "FIGHT!" he savagely yelled. If Four was a ball and Mularia's scythe was a baseball bat, then it would've been a homerun swing.

[Saber Lily 1,543]

Zion nodded. "We'll need to get to the fountain plaza. We need an open area for the ships to land...welll...the shuttles."

Zion shrugged apologetically. "I can teleport so uh...I usually don't hang on the shuttles..."

She smiled though, but stilled seemed troubled a bit.

Terranort followed Neena as best he could, but she was faster. He soon gave up on running and used a Keyblade Rider to make better speed. Seeing that Neena's aura had stopped in an alley, Terranort dismissed the Rider and dropped to the street. He saw a group of people and became wairy, but that faded away when he say Neena and Lyon. He stood up and was about to speak when Drave rammed him. He fell on his back, his breath knocked out off him. Drave webst no time and wasted no time in grabbing the prone Terranort by the throat and hoasting him up to where Terranort was off the ground.

"Long time, no see." Drave growled.

Terranort lashed out with darkness, hitting Drave square in the chest. Terranort was let go and dropped. He pulled back, rubbing his neck and summoning his Keyblade in a defensive stance.

[Nexus Shift]

"I am not here to..." he started, before Annistha's midair double kick hit him in the chest.

[Nexus Shift]

He stumbled back again, regaining his footing in time to block an over head strike from Drave.

"Enough!" Terranort yelled. "I'm not here to fight!"

"Like when you took control off us?" Drave replied. "Like when Master Melerd asked for your help and you let him die?"

"What are you talking about?" Terranort countered, forced to a knee by Drave. "I don't remember any..."

Terranort fell silent as he realized that he knew off a Master Melerd, but no memory. He was further taken aback as he felt more gaps in his memory, from before he took over this body.

"Why...can't I remember?" he murmured.

"Becuase you are no longer Xehanort." Drave said, just realizing himself. "Your scent is different then before."

Drave let up, leaving Terranort in a kneeling position with a far away, puzzled look. Drave's dark brown eyes scanned the group and settled on Neena and Lyon.

"Your scent is like his new scent." Drave said to Lyon, jerking a gloved thumb towards Terranort.

He switched his gaze to Neena.

"And hers. Explain."

(This is getting fun I feel bad for my dude.)[Destiny Islands, Four vs. Mularia]Four's vision was blinded by a flash of white as Mularia's sudden attack connected. For crying out loud! He thought to himself as he was sent careening towards the island. Battered and weakened from the previous fight with Riku, Four barely managed to twist his body so he could land on his two feet. He skid across the coastal sands before coming to a gentle stop. Bracing himself against the keyblade, he struggled to stand up but failed as dropped onto his right knee. He casted heal on himself, but knew it wasn't strong enough to fully restore his health. Feeling a little better, Four managed to stand up on his won this time and assumed his battle stance while facing his newfound adversary. He decided to go onto the defensive this time, knowing that Riku could pop out at any moment and hoping that his renewal block would heal him back to full health. A possible two versus one confrontation was manageable for Four, so long as he didn't screw up. But as of recently, he was screwing up a lot more than he would like to admit. For the first time ever in a battle, Four was worried that he just might not live to see the end of this confrontation.

Who is this foolish boy?

 

Riku walked towards the combatant, and darkness began to crackle around him.

 

"You could have left," his voice became more and more distorted as the shadows swirled more furiously.

 

"But you chose to stay," Riku paused for a moment. "I wonder if I'll ever find out why."

 

He pointed his keyblade at the boy, slowly turning it sideways, as if unlocking something.

 

"Yield to the darkness!"

[Destiny Islands, Four vs. Mularia and Dark Riku]

 

"Yield to the darkness!"

 

Four's eyes widen as he heard Riku made the ominous statement. His worst short term fears were realized: a two person confrontation, both of which were powerful darkness users. Four had to act fast and decided to focus on Riku first. While his ears were listening to his imminent surroundings, Four took on a rigid defensive stance against Riku. "Yup. Definitely not Riku." He muttered under his breath. Battle-focused and waiting for Riku to make the first move, Four listened intently for any sounds that would deceive someone from trying to bash his helmet in from behind.

Riku launched the equivalent of a frisbee of darkness (See the Ansem/Riku battle in KH1) and charged, getting ready to smash the boy from a different angle as soon as he blocked the first projectile.

[Destiny Islands, Four vs. Dark Riku and Mularia]

 

Battle-focused, the world seemed to slow down around Four as he spotted the dark attack and Riku moving towards him. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... He quickly dove to his right, rolling and recovering flawlessly before proceeding to counter-attack. Turning his head left to see where he once stood, Four allowed his body to naturally follow the momentum. As his body moved, the build-up of force peaked as he got a good look at Riku's keyblade. As the momentum reached a crescendo, Four guided his keyblade into his target and felt an impact of sorts. Immediately afterwards, he did a backflip and again went into a defensive stance. He knew that blocking could have given him a much needed heal, but he had no choice.

Lyon backed away, a little confused. "I have no clue Drave. Hoping our new friends will clear it up." she said, obviously defensive. Unfortunately, Lyon was cripplingly aware that six years of her life were gone. Could these people be somebody from her past? Someone who could clear up where she had come from maybe? Neena nodded her head, understanding where these people were coming from.

"Well, Lyon. The short version is you're my and Terranort's daughter." she said. Lyon was quite obviously taken aback. Parents? She had long since given up hope on finding parents. Even more curiously, she was the daughter of a 'Nort?

"But you and Terranort both use darkness. I use light. And I look nothing like either of you." Lyon protested, trying to find an excuse. Neena nodded. Then she snapped her fingers, and Neena changed into light form.

"Actually dear, you're my splitting image." Neena continued. Lyon shook her head.

"No. No. Not possible." she muttered. This woman and a 'Nort were her parents? Unbelievable. Neena turned to Terry, and made a gesture towards Lyon that meant something like: "Come on. Be a good father and help your daughter."

Riku, caught off guard by the counter, grimaced and stumbled to his right.

He whipped around, glaring at the boy,

"You're finished!"

Leaping into the air, he aimed his keyblade and focused, preparing darkness to surge out of the ground where he landed.
