The Experiment (RP)

(Some minor ground rules; respect other players, never simply give yourself an unfair advantage, mix things up if you wish, and given the nature of the secrets on the island, if you wish to have an enviornment described for you by me, simply end a post with your character looking upon an envionrment or opening a door and end with a "...")

 

 

 

 

So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Ember woke on the beach. What the heck was she doing here? The last she remembered was escaping from prison, again. "Good morning, welcome to the next part of your life." a voice echoed on the beach. Confused, Ember got up and dusted off her leather jacket. There were several others on the beach with. "Anyone else got an idea why we're here?" she called to the others. Hopefully someone had answers, but somehow she doubted it.

Sikota stood and looked around him. "This area is too open." He looked to the people around him. "Perhaps I shall wait here, see how things play out." He watched the others rise.

Fulmen awoke almost immediately at that, catching most of what blared into the earpiece he didn't even realize he had. As he awoke, ozone seemed to lift about him, a small static charge building as his stress levels rose. His mind was groggy, and Fulmen didn't know where he was- he seemed to be laying in some old, decrepit house. The air felt thick and humid. Like a jungle.

"What...the..?" He murmured, rubbing his oddly long, green hair. "Where am I?" He said louder this time, looking about the house he was in. Around him laid several others- all of them also seeming to be waking up.

 

Fulmen stood, his coat jingling as the baubles upon the strings attached to coat shook. His attire was oddly made, a mixture of green and black that fit him well. Despite the odd baubles, it looked a bit good for combat.

"Alright...I don't remember ever going on vacation. Just where am I?" Fulmen repeated his mind still a bit feeble. He stretched an arm, sighing as the ozone about him finally seemed to die down.(Jeez, sorry if the post's a bit long...)

Yumi sighed getting up. "No...one I know. I'm all alone once again." She looked at all the people who lay around her. One had gotten up and asked a question.

"Well I have these powers. Maybe that's a reason." She sighed. 

"For now I say let's wait for the others to get up. I think that's a good plan for now." She told the girl.

Locke woke up, and immediately he took a look around himself... it was a ruined place.. the sound of birds was a nuisance around... dust covered the floor, and many things around were messed up... it looked like a house... however it was empty... except for the other three people there too....

-Where.... am I?... Nrrrgg  my head....

then looking around once more, he saw one already woke up... White hair and a black jacket.... he was looking around too... confused as I was... (Fulmen)

- Hey... who are u? I asked to him as i get up of the floor.... 

 

On my mind, I was thinking... "A experiment? What does that mean? ... Wait a sec... my ... power? "Obviously... with no answer....

Tsuna slowly opened her eyes as her vision started to become less blurry. Something felt hard under her cheek, like some type of uneven concrete. Tsuna pushed herself up onto her feet. She looked around at her surrounding and rubbed her forehead. How did i get here, she thought, ugh i dont remember a thing. Tsuna brushed the small bits of metal and dirt from her hair and clothes. The game has begun, a faint voice said. What game? Is this a prank becasue it's not funny! Tsuna looked down and saw three other people asleep on the ground and another looking around as well. I wonder if i have to work with them in order to get out if here, she thought.

Sikota turned toward Tsuna. "I see you're awake." He looked towards the others. "What do you think we should do?"

Fulmen looked out a window, trying to see through the bright light outside, to get a clearer view of their current surroundings. He turned though, when a voice interrupted his thoughts.

He looked to his left, seeing a boy about his age get up.

"Oh, hey." Fulmen said, looking over the person before him. The boy's hair was black and rather spiky, amusing Fulmen somewhat.

Seems alright, I guess. But I really don't feel like trusting anyone yet. Fulmen thought, and then he spoke: "Name's Fulmen. As for your questions, I really have no idea."

"Well at least he talk..." I though as I was truly awaken.. "that was sleeping gas?  maybe... " but for what reason we were here? How we came here? Maybe the voice had the answers....for now... at least he´doesn´t look like a villain of a sort... so: 

- Oh... I see... my name is Locke... so... we are on the middle of the jungle... not knowing how we came here? ... that sounds fishy on every possible way. Then I looked at the other three lying on the floor.. waking up slowly... 

 

"Great.... as if I didn´t have more troubles.... i was kinnapped.... " I said to myself...

Tsuna looked at the guy and said "Um, we should probably wait until the others wake up." She took another glimpse at them and added "Do you know where we are?" she asked. Tsuna felt a breeze quickly blowing by and the nearby trees started to ruffle a bit too harshly. So this is some sort of airstrip, she thought and her eyes followed the path to the control tower in the distance. It seemed to be abandoned

"You heard that voice. The game has begun. It seems we are forced to be someone's entertainment." He smiled. "I guess I must comply." He appeared behind Tsuna, and kick driving for the side of her head.

Kilek's eyes opened and he shot up right. Last thing he remebered...he didn't even know. He was with a group of people he didn't know in a place equally as mysterious. The message that played in his ears, the, Experiment, apparently, had left him a litte unsettled.

 

He looked at the peolple around him, two were awake, no word from the third, making Kilek the fourth here. He stood up and approached the two that were talking, "I don't suppose you two have any idea whats happening, do you?"

Tsuna tripped backwards, with his foot grazing her hair, and fell on her butt. "W-what the hell are you doing?!" she yelled at him. Tsuna shakenly got back up on her feet. What is going on, she thought, why is this guy trying to kill me? we just met; so would the others try to get me when when wake up. "I dont want to be anyone entertainment " she said to him. Tsuna heard someone else wake up

"Uuuugggghhhh"

Xander moaned as he slowely began blinking his eyes. His vision was a little blury and his head felt heavy. He started waking up when the voice pierced through his ear piece. As his vision began to clear he thought he could make out 2 figures talking. This all felt very familiar to him. He'd had dreams of this very situation before. The blury sight of people talking, the voice in his ear. It felt like deja vu. He began lifting his body off the floor.

"Hey.."

He said looking at the others with his eyes half-closed

Tsuna felt her hands get warm. Wait, she thought what am i even doing; i can use fire can't I? Within seconds, her hands were engulfed in flames. Nice, she thought and pointed her fingers like a gun and shot a ball of flames at the guy from above. We shouldnt even be fighting. "Because i'm not someone's puppet." she said to him. The flames around her hands actually felt soothing

Sikota flipped midair, the flame dissipating in his path and he landed behind Tsuna. "Fair enough." He appeared in front of her and placed his finger under her chin lifting her face toward his. "Then what shall we do?"

Kilek was surprised to see that, rather than talking, the two were fighting. He had hardly, no he never noticed that the guy had moved behind the girl and attacked from above in such quick movements.

 

Not wanting to be caught off guard, should that guy come after him, Kilek felt his jaw shift, a sign that he was turn his teeth into shark's teeth.

 

He had no idea what was going on, no idea who he was with, no idea why anyone was fighting. Should he defend the girl? Or maybe that guy had a good reason for attacking her. Without thinking, Kilek lunged with all the strength he could, which was quite a lot when he had his shark teeth, at the guy attacking

Sikota grabbed Tsuna and jumped far behind Kilek, he held her close. "So, as I said previously, what shall we do, then?"

Tsuna stepped back a bit and watched another guy was was passed out on the ground a few minutes ago attacking the one just fighting her. Are those...shark teeth, she thought and her eyes widened. The flames from her hands disappeared and she couldnt help but to just stare. How did i end up in this situation, everything is happening so fast... She felt someone grab her. "How about get off me first." she said and pushed him away

"Heh," Sikota let her go. "You're fiery one it seems. The name's Sikota."

 

Looks like I've found something to entertain me. Sikota thought to himself. Let's see if I can't get her to fall in love... I feel as though I may have.

"You're one weird guy Sikota....The name's Tsuna." she said to him. What's with this guy? First he attacks me now he wants a hug? Tsuna looked back at shark boy and then the others still asleep. How are they still alseep through all this commotion? she thought.

Kilek ran to the girl, " Are you okay?" he asked before turning to the guy, Sikota he called himself. Hes fast, way too fast for me, Kilek thought, I'm not too sure if I can out smart him, but thats my only option.

 

"Im not sure how fast he can move, but this might be worth a try," he said to the girl, seeing her fire abilities, he had an idea, " how wide can u spread your fire?"
