advfox 698 Posted March 4, 2013 The physics in BBS/FM were some of the worst in the series in my opinion. 1. You could spam Dodge Roll as much as you wanted. I think this made a major negative impact on the potential on the fun and challenge of the game. 2. You can't deflect enemy attacks. This isn't too big of a problem , but if you've played other KH titles, you'll notice you can deflect attacks by attacking at the exact same time the enemy attacks, causing both attacks to be deflected. This isn't a factor in this game. 3. There are a fair amount of glitches throughout the game. And I'm not just being stereotypical; play through the game and count every little glitch you see. 4. The damage factor was too high. That coupled with the small amount of HP bosses and enemies have, things can get less challenging really fast. 5. Commands were overpowered. Ultimate commands should be powerful, but not almighty. Ars Arcanum and Time Splicer, for example, can take out waves of enemies and even bosses very easily. Now don't get me wrong, I think BBS is a great game. It was my very first KH game in fact. I can also understand this was the first game in the series to use the new command system, so of course there are going to be some problems. What are your opinions on this? 2 Dio Brando and tothecikpah reacted to this
Shera Wizard 2,736 Posted March 4, 2013 I agree on the deflection. Though not major it was one firetrucking handy move. Hey every game has a first time, KH being the only game for PSP can be excused.
Elucidator 21 Posted March 4, 2013 I honestly liked KHBBS, the only disturbing thing was... https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/5647952128/h5CB41DE5/ And as a Non-lifer, i can't cease playing an Unfinished game..
Ruran 481 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) I thought you were gonna talk about the actual physics in the game, like how Terra can take a mountain to the face without dying. 1. For the most part frames for the dodge abilities broke the game but I'm not complaining. In a game were you have the option to play the whole thing on lv.1 it's there for that sort of thing. 2. I never noticed before but I can see how not having that ability can leave a void when other KH games have it. At least you can do it with some enemies. 3. Not really? There are some notable glitches in BbS but I wouldn't even say there were a fair amount. I've played the whole game through about 2-3 time and encountered two different glitches only once each during Ven's scenario. 4. That varies a bit from character to character and how you approach enemies. Like Terra's a physical power house so it's easy to tank enemies while Aqua is relatively weak so it takes a while to beat them using melee attacks. On the other hand Aqua's a mage so you can wreck everyone's shit with the right magic. 5. Again that depends but for the most part I agree. Even on Critical Mode I found BbS fairly easy and there being many commands that blew enemies away didn't help. It makes it hard playing for a challenge but limiting your variety. Over all I didn't find BbS all that hard, even on the hardest setting. I think it's more or less a collection of all these issues contributing a little bit. Indecypher 495 Posted March 4, 2013 Thought this was gonna be about jumping and stuff. I've heard similar complaints, mostly about shotlocks doing major damage and having invincibility frames. 1 wayfinder823 reacted to this
tothecikpah 230 Posted March 4, 2013 i'm agree with you well.. i like some of the 'overpowered' command..since all the characters are trained very hard for the mark of mastery exam..^^ (well not for ven but still he is trained as hard as terra and aqua did) they must be very powerful! Weiss 8,279 Posted March 4, 2013 The only one of these that really bothered me was infinite dodge rolls and glitches. The others I just looked over. 1 Indecypher reacted to this
Demyx. 10,064 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) I didn't have a problem with any of the things you listed. Sure, it was easy but I still loved the battle system and all of that. I thought battling of incredibly fun regardless of the easy difficulty. Plus I'm not someone who ever pays attention to glitches so I never notice them. Wouldn't really call these physics. I must disagree here. Even though i have not played BBS i'm quite sure it'd be fun to make the characters roll round and round like a football

Hei 3,233 Posted March 4, 2013 Wouldn't physics be like...realistic water movement, real-time weather system, environmental damage, ect? This is all just gameplay mechanics 1 Indecypher reacted to this
Javelin434 3,164 Posted March 4, 2013 I thought this was going to be another Aqua's boob reference threadSpamming dodge roll was what kept me alive for about 70% of the game, especially the boss fights.

peronmls 45 Posted March 9, 2013 You could hardly block in this game and trying to recover from an attack or recoil was a bitch. They combat was way to stiff. It was like crisis core. But it was ok for CS.
