Alagoth 46 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) I came across this on Youtube, and I thought it was completely absurd and silly. When I looked down in the comments I couldn't help think, "wtf?" that people are actually donating to him. Would you donate to this guy, or would you not? This honestly is one of the most pathetic videos I've ever seen. He wants to use the money for a "vacation" to fix his life. That doesn't even make sense. WHY R PEOPLE DON8TING?!?!? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=SzHvfW-QpG0 Edited March 1, 2013 by Alagoth
_The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted March 1, 2013 The internet isn't the place to ask for money. I find the people who actually do donate sillier.
Weiss 8,279 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) No money to even give Edited March 1, 2013 by Weiss
Alagoth 46 Posted March 1, 2013 I usually don't post stuff like this but honestly, is this guy messed up in the head? The issue I have is that people actually are buying into this and being hostile towards other who hate on him? He doesn't need donation for a vacation to reconfigure his life, he just needs to do something then sitting there.

HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Well if he can't even get a job and earn his own money it's no wonder his life is shitty . You gotta work for what you want in life not expect it handed to you. Edited March 1, 2013 by Flaming Lea 1 Demyx. reacted to this
Hei 3,233 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Give him props for admitting that what he is doing is "pathetic" Edited March 1, 2013 by Hei
Koko 3,944 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) the way everyone is wording this makes me rly upset because begging for money is not pathetic, not everyone is economically stable. ive had friends and loved ones that have had to beg for money from others to be able to eat and pay rent. my family still has to borrow money from time to time to buy groceries. this guy is just being a leech and lazy if he has the means to make money but doesnt want to but calling him pathetic for begging for money is really insulting because its not pathetic, sometimes its necessary Edited March 1, 2013 by Koko 1 Jilly Shears reacted to this
Indecypher 495 Posted March 2, 2013 I didn't bother watching, because I know what a veritable maelstrom of avarice I am.
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted March 2, 2013 I don't know who this guy is and what his life is really like, but I'm skeptical that acquiring $6000 to move out of the country is a great way to acquire the happiness he seeks. People think that as long as you fulfill some requirements for happiness then you'll be set, but I think being happy isn't just a state of being, it's a mindset. It just seems to me there should be something relatively less expensive and extreme out there to get him out of his funk, but his current state makes him unable to see that. People donate to guys like this because 1) they'll throw some spare money at him for their own amusement to see where things lead, because the internet is entertaining, or 2) they genuinely feel sorry for him; maybe they can relate to him so they'll throw some money his way, because they might've been there once; or maybe it's good old fashioned human kindness. No, I don't support him in the sense that he's just sitting there, but I read this thread's comments before watching the video and from what everyone said, I got the impression this was some whiny douche hoping the internet would give him a free ride. To the people calling him pathetic... seriously. What gives you the right to make that judgment? Yes, I really wish he'd try something else. No, I don't believe a trip out of the country is gonna be the key to turn his life around. Yes, there's a good chance a part of his situation is his own fault. But, none of us know him. In an ideal world, one's output directly matches one's profit, but no, there are people who bust their ass off and make millions; and there are others who bust their ass off just as hard and make peanuts. Not everyone is in a situation where they can make enough money or have the strength to see solutions and possibilities obvious to us, no matter how hard-working (or not) they might be. I don't believe in leading people by the hand, but I believe in safety nets and little boosts so they can pull themselves up if they really need it. There's a difference between babying people and giving them a little hand once in a while. 2 Koko and Jilly Shears reacted to this

There's a difference between babying people and giving them a little hand once in a while. It's one thing to need food and neccessities and need a helping hand once in awhile, it's another thing to admit to blowing your money and not wanting to earn the money for something you admit you don't really need but just 'want'. We aren't talking about him in a life or death situation .It's not even something he needs..I was always taught if you want something in life you should work to obtain it , not expect others to hand it out for shits and giggles...He openly admits this is a friviolous expense and people would be 'stupid and crazy ' to even donate to him . What does that say ? 1 Demyx. reacted to this
