KH1 Deep Jungle slides

I'm going through a replay of the entire series, and I noticed the first slide in Deep Jungle has a picture of a castle, and Sora says something about it being familiar, but couldn't be since he's never left the islands. since I've never seen this discussed,My question about it is, where is this and why is it familiar to him? When I first looked it kinda reminded me of the castle from Enchanted Dominion in Bbs, then I thought due to the angle it kinda reminded me of Castle of Dreams from the secret episode of BbS FM, but it probably makes most sense for it to be Radiant Gardens castle.

 

Is this an early game clue that Kairi's heart is inside of him? Is it maybe a nod to the distant future release of BbS and Sora having a shared heart with Ventus?

It was an early game clue to Kairi's heart being in him. pretty sure it's the castle of dreams.

I figured Radiant Garden probably made most sense. I'm honestly just surprised I never noticed this before, but I guess since I just finished BbS I'm just looking for ways to connect the games.

 

However, another question I forgot to mention in the first post. Why would a slide featuring a location from a completely different world be among the stuff in the Deep Jungle campsite? Is it possible that Jane or Clayton may have traveled to other worlds?

well heartless do travel from world to world so one of them may have gotten it their by accident.

I guess that's possible, but I figured that the reason all of the slides were on the camp site and not just spread out throughout the entire world was because they were part of Jane's and/or Clayton's belongings. Obviously theprojector was brought along to be able to look at the slides, so it makes sense to assume they did belong to one of them.

They do search throughout the jungle for research if I remember correctly so it is a possibility they found them

I always thought it was just a picture of a castle, not one in particular. Remember Jane's from England, we have plenty of castles here. I believe Kairi's heart just sparked a memory of her home Radiant Garden, causing Sora to think he'd been there before.

while that line of thinking might make sense strictly in continuity of Tarzan, you have to keep in mind that "England" doesn't exist as a single entity within the Kingdom Hearts worlds. (Keep in mind that in the Peter Pan movie, Wendy was also from England.)

Not single entity, no. But each world is a Disney movie, each with it's own laws, locales and timeline. It still makes sense, how else would you explain the other slides? 'Deep Jungle's' world doesn't purely consist of the campsite, tree house and waterfalls.

This is crazy, but I'd always thought it was the clock tower in Twilight Town.

 

Giving it a better look, though, I'm sort of wondering if it's Ansem's castle in Radiant Garden.

It couldve been Twilight Town, if it wasn't for the fact that Roxas wasn't born at this point.

 

Unless you glitched the games with cheats so that you go to Hollow Bastion before Deep Jungle. Then that would make sense.
