Deadshot 666 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Notes: - This list will be updated when more great ps3 games come out and had chance to complete them - This is my opinion you may disagree with it but respect it - If you want to ask why game was higher or lower or why certain game isn't on the list feel free - I decided not to put writing on all games on list since it takes time and easier to fit in one post - Final Fantasy whatever is not on list either will KH: 1.5 when it comes out - Enjoy the list and with ps4 announced i decided it would be nice to look back at some of my favourite ps3 games 25) Sly Cooper: Thieves in time Developer: Sanzaru Games Release date: February 5, 2013 24) God of War 3 Developer: SCE Santa Monica Studio RD: March 16, 2010 23) Ni No Kuni Developers: Level-5 & Studio Ghibli RD: January 22, 2013 22) Dead Space 2 Developer: Visceral Games RD: January 25, 2011 21) Modnation racers Developer: United Front Games RD: May 25, 2010 20) Rayman origins Developer: Ubisoft Montpellier RD: November 15, 2011 While i never been Rayman fan, Rayman origins scratched my itch for pure platformer that wasn't indie or mario. It had some gorgeous visuals and chippy music as well as great level design. The game handles nicely and is instant classic for any fan of platformers. It has everything good platformers needs and more it's also up there with Super Mario Galaxy as the one of the best from this genre for this gen so don't miss out if you haven't played it. 19) Mgs 4 Developer: Kojima Productions RD: June 12, 2008 So this game is one I'll probably get most complains with on why i don;t think it's among very best on ps3 while it certainly is worst mgs from gameplay aspect with most boring villains in the series as well as for players that didn't play other games it can get very confusing. But hey it sounds like I'm hating on this game, i do really enjoy it. It pays great tribute to the past games and wraps up story in epic way. While i don't love the ending it was nice to see everything come full circle. The final boss fight was truly great and it looked and sounds nice as well. 18) Red Dead Redemption Developer: Rockstar San Diego & Rockstar North RD: May 18, 2010 17) Ratchet & Clank Future: A crack in time Developer: Insomniac Games RD: October 27, 2009 16) Dishonored Developer: Arkane Studios RD: October 9, 2012 15) Catherine Developer: Atlus Persona Team RD: July 26, 2011 14) Portal 2 Developer: Valve Corporation RD: April 19, 2011 13) Batman: Arkham city Developer: Rocksteady Studios RD: October 18, 2011 12) Resistance Trilogy Developer: Insomniac Games RD: Sometime in 2012 (I'm not even going to bother) 11) Journey Developer: Thatgamecompany RD: March 13, 2012Journey is one of hardest games to explain what it's about some may see it having no story and just seeing stunning world thatgamecompany created or others see it's about life and death while other see it has partner they get assign to joining them trying to survive this journey. It's great experience that verys from player to player and everyone will probably see it there own way. The games not for everyone but one that everyone can play while some will fine it most boring and the overrated game they'll ever play and that's fine but even than it's hard to not to see that it's beautiful game with incredible sound and experience like no other even if you don't enjoy it. Journey says to namesake and is one from beginning to end. 10) LittleBigPlanet 2 Developer: Media Molecule RD: 18 January 2011 9) Infamous 2 Developer: Sucker Punch Productions RD: June 7, 2011 8) fallout 3 Developer: Bethesda Game Studios RD: October 28, 2008 7) Valkyria Chronicles Developer: Sega Wow RD: November 4, 2008Such a forgotten gem for most gamers on ps3, Valkyria Choncilies is set during a war in 1930's it explores impact that war as on people who experience it. These people don;t want to kill the other side but forced to survive. It's emotional and surprising well told story that most games involving war don't explore. It's water colouring visuals look beautiful and makes it look different than most other games as well. The game plays game mixing a tps with strategy rpg which works well together and it's fun game to play as well as challenging.6) Mass Effect trilogy Developer: BioWare RD: September 26, 2012 5) Uncharted 3 Developer: Naughty Dog RD: November 1, 2011 4) Heavy Rain Developer: Quantic Dream RD: 23 February 2010 3) The Unfinished Swan Developer: Giant Sparrow RD: October 23, 2012 You may have not heard about the unfinished swan but less you know the better. The story in The unfinished swan uses it medium to it's advantage and gives you unique experience you can't find anywhere else. The soundtrack and voice acting are top-notch and the games gives you classic story book tale. It's has sense of exploration that few games have and it's great looking game as well. While it's for everyone for me the unfinished swan is breathtaking and special game that is among best on ps3.2) Bioshock Developer: Digital Extremes RD: October 21, 2008 1) Uncharted 2 Developer: Naughty Dog RD: October 13, 2009This was tough choice and it's safe bet but i settled with Uncharted 2 while it's not perfect and final boss really doesn't belong in the game. It was the reason i went and bought ps3 for and it was worth it. The game is epic with some of best story, voice acting and visuals on ps3. It made Uncharted what it is and showed off hardware better than any other game on system. It made Nathan Drake ps3's poster boy. From everything game did it pulled off better than almost any other game. It's also concerned one of best games of this generation and of all-time in many people's books so if you haven't played it you got to give it a shot. Hei 3,233 Posted February 24, 2013 Infamous 2, Mass Effect Trilogy, Uncharted 2, GOW , Portal 2, MGS4, and Batman. All really great games, nice list man. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was outstanding. It gave off a PS2 feel to the game, and it felt like a Sly game perfectly. Journey...probably the most simplistic yet beautiful game I'v ever played. 1 Rayo_Rojo reacted to this

Indecypher 495 Posted February 24, 2013 Why did the Resistance Trilogy and the Mass Effect trilogy make it while other game series game's weren't included on their part of the list?
RoxSox 3,593 Posted February 24, 2013 Why did the Resistance Trilogy and the Mass Effect trilogy make it while other game series game's weren't included on their part of the list? Those games actually have a collection. I just bought the whole ME trilogy at once for the same price of a new MSRP game. I don't think Uncharted has a trilogy collection yet. I think inFamous had a 2for1 though. 1 Indecypher reacted to this
dusk 910 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) I can Almost agree wholeheartedly with you man. My list would be pretty similar, but I wouldn't put Modnation Racers there and GoW 3 and MGS 4 would be higher on the list. I'm prepared to be shot, but I didn't really like Uncharted games, shooting felt boring and repetitive. I would add Dark Souls/Demon Soul, Mortal Kombat 9 and Persona 4 Arena on that list. Also Borderlands series and Max Payne 3 Edited February 24, 2013 by dusk 1 Indecypher reacted to this
AaySquare 445 Posted February 24, 2013 I would agree with the list you made but I think it is possible for the new God of war (which is God of War Ascension) to beat God of War 3.

Deadshot 666 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Yeah I'm complaining kinda, sorry Where's Bayonetta!? No one seems to have played that game...so underrated. It's fine, I never got around to Bayonetta but heard good things about it. I heard other versions of game where better than PS3 one but one day i want to get around to the game. No Tales of Graces F? you should play that one if you haven't I believe that issue was addressed already. I'm not big Jrpg fan but i might check a tales game eventually heard good things. I think inFamous had a 2for1 though. It seems there is Uncharted trilogy but only to Europe so that's why i never heard of it. And i guess i could change journey to journey collection but that one slipped my mind. Edited February 24, 2013 by Deadshot

Still need to get around to Max Payne 3 and wasn't fan of Borderlands 1 but didn't play it online and Demon Souls wasn't my thing. Thanks, Yeah Sly 4 you couldn't tell it changed developers and it's maybe the best one in the series. It feels right at home with series and looks like their might be sly 5. Yeah that's good way to sum up Journey.

If you have played two original Max Payne games, you will love third one. It is definitely different, but still really good. Uncharted isn't bad by any means, I like parkour and stealth action, but once one guardian spots you, you are basically forced to shoot behind cover next 30 minutes. I can understand if you didn't like Demon Souls and Borderlands 1 wasn't that good compared to Borderlands 2 (which was the best game of 2012 in my opinion). Especially PS3 version which was bad port of XBOX version. 1 Indecypher reacted to this
