danted12 0 Posted February 21, 2013 With the news of PS4. Its safe to assume that Kingdom hearts will never come out for PS3. I wonder why such a great game was never brought to the ps3. And why Nintendo got so many games, especially since it started at playstation?? And now with so many Kingdom hearts that came out on psp or mostly Nintendo Portables. How can someone who just played KH 1 & 2 understand whats been happening in the series. I have read about the games. But its annoying having to read so much and not playing. So for some people it is new. As for kh3 on ps3 or ps4 Nomura said he's going to try to bring all of the games to one console so I think it will be ps3 or even possibly ps3 and ps4. While he was trying to condense all the games for us on the same system, the games are again going to be broken up across several if KH3 is going to be released on the PS4--which it likely is. When a new console gets announced game companies don't all of a sudden forget about the last gen and shift their focus to the new ones all at once, it takes years. New games will still come out for the PS3 and I think KH3 will still come out on it as well. It's the last game in the Xehanort Saga and if it comes out around 2015-2016 that's not too far into the PS4's life span. It's coming out at the end of this year. projecttank 15 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) I severely doubt KH will be making it to the PS4 anytime soon after it's release, I mean did Re:CoM make it to the PS3? No, which honestly was a good idea, a lot of people bought the PS3 hoping to someday play KH on it, and with KHHD 1.5 coming for the PS3 hopefully having a good chunk of KH games on it will drastically increase it's lifespan. I don't want to buy a PS4 just to play KH (even though I've done similar before; I'm looking at you BBS) saying I won't though is an understatement. I just hope after KHHDs 1.5 and 2.5 and KH3 they take a semi-short break before working on a new saga, which I hope'll be on the PS4. KH2 didn't get a proper sequel for nearly the entire life span of it's next-gen main console, so I just hope KH4 can plant KH's foundation for the PS4 early. Not that the PS3 is dying, but you get my point. I seriously doubt it'll come out for the PS4, and even if it does, it'll probably be for PS3 as well. He wouldn't make all the games available on one console (PS3) then randomly shove KH3 exclusively on a newer one. And I understand the logic that its been out a long time and loads of people have it, but if I didn't have one, I wouldn't go out and buy a PS3 for 1.5 when the PS4 is announced and most definitely KH3 will come out on that for the "never before seen detail" simply it'll be at least another 2 years, or 3 if they keep it to 3 games to one remix (there's one left over they could bundle into 2.5, I personally think they should just port BBSFM) and by that time I assume the sales of the PS4 would be favourable. So it would have been better had they sped it up a bit and released the remix's a while ago. But ah well. I feel disappointed but there's nothing I can do to change it. heyitsdeven 131 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) The PS4 is supposed to be indefinitely easier to develop on than the PS3. I think that reason alone justifies it'll be on PS4 instead. Square would be crazy to waste precious development time on a project that will easily sell millions. But yeah, like others are saying I'm pretty sure 2.5 will also be on PS3.
