KH2 Worst line in the game

Recommended Posts

Since we have a best line topic, why not a worst line? I know I can think of one:

Sora: Just give it a rest! You're Nobodies! You don't even exist! You're not sad about anything!

This line made me lose a great deal of respect for Sora and to be honest I thought he was a dumb little ****. What the hell does he know? He's obviously short-sighted as s**t and seems to attack whoever the hell he wants without very good reasons. "YOU'RE NOBODIES, YOU BAD, ME GOOD. I KILL YOU."

The nobodies were responsible for purposely unleashing thousands of heartless who destroyed worlds and stole peoples hearts - basically sociopaths with no moral compass for what they were doing .That's what Sora saw when he was saying that shit . However,He was also the first one to admonish Xemnas in DDD when he found out he lied and mislead all the nobodies to do his bidding and attempted to take over their bodies.

I think there were cheesier /worse lines than that to be fair xD Just sayin'

I agree with Flaming Lea: (spoiler alert) "You know right? Because you all have hearts! Axel and Roxas and Naminé and that other girl...I felt what Roxas felt and they laughed together, got mad, and they grieved...You have to have a heart to cry." And then there was that other great line: "Roxas, you're you! [...] You deserve as much as I do to be your own person!"

I don't mind what Sora said.  At that point, Nobodies didn't have hearts, and had no feelings or emotion.  It was only later they decided to change the story and say they can develop one.  So I believe Sora was in the right 'cause from that perspective, they're be fake trying to make him believe something or pity them to get the better of him

"It's Riku! Riku's here!"

He was straight out talking to him.  There was no need to go all third person perspective on us.

I'd say Sora had a very good reason for his words and actions.  If we're not factoring DDD here--hell, even if we do--the Organization are made up of a bunch of people unleashing Heartless into worlds, spreading misery and chaos for their own goals.  Noble as their goals were, their methods were willing to damn anybody they see fit if it meant getting what they want.  And when Sora said his line, Xemnas made no move to contradict him.  Sora was completely justified in what he did.  Really, the people who defend the Organization and decry Sora are fangirls who focus so much on their sympathetic motives that they're willing to overlook that most of the Organization are villains who dealt enough damage to endanger everyone.

What bothers me is the fact that Sora judges the Organization as an organization, and not as individuals. From what Sora is saying, merely being a Nobody means you don't deserve to live by default. It doesn't matter what the Organization did here. Sora didn't comment on the Organization's wrongdoings. He commented on what they are, Nobodies. And he made it clear that to him, Nobodies are less then ants.

Now let me name you a few examples: Roxas, and Namine, obviously. But I guess we can assume Sora didn't know about them back then. Then we have Axel, who became a good guy in the end. And then there's Demyx; while not a good guy, he wasn't really a bad guy either. What did he do? What pain did he ever cause Sora?

I acknowledge that Sora changed his views later on, but it still stands for that point in time. Also this is about KHII and not DDD.

You asked for bad lines from a game you never said they only had to be from kh2...

I never thought about that, he did shift pretty quickly from being sad about Axel to hating on nobodies. I would hope it was just an oversight, or Sora just said it in anger without thinking.

Why should he judge them as individuals?  Individually, and as a group, they had caused trouble to him or to other people, whenever he encountered them.  Why should he need to comment on their wrong doings when their wrong doings are self-evident?  If we ignore Roxas and Namine, who were different from the other Nobidies, Yen Sid had told him Nobodies weren't meant to exist.  The fact they're hurting people just gave Sora more incentive for what he did.  So, he was told they weren't supposed to exist, and they're going around hurting people for their selfish desires.  Why shouldn't they be considered less than ants, if we're ignoring DDD?  Roxas and Namine are shown to be exceptions and exceptional among Nobodies.  What did Demyx do?  He steals the Olympus Stone, which Sora needed to fight Hades and help Hercules and Auron.  He attacks Sora at Hollow Bastion.  Demyx was the one who started the fight during that, because he was under orders to "liberate Sora's true disposition" to keep Sora on track of the Organization's plans, and/or to awaken Roxas.  When that didn't work, Demyx got dangerous and attacked Sora.  Besides, Demyx was a part of the Organization

I still don't see a problem with Sora's actions.  He reacted accordingly to the information he was given and the situation he was in.  The Organization's actions do matter.  They're what drove CoM and KH2's plots, and they clearly needed to be stopped.  I'd be more sympathetic to them if they should some reserve regarding their actions, but bar Roxas, Xion, and Axel, none of them do.  None of them.  None of them give two shits about each other, they only care about themselves, they're willing to screw each other over for their own individual goals and for the Organization's.  Individually and as a group, they're villains who needed to be stopped, and Sora did just that.

I thought the topic being in the KHII subforum made it clear enough, sorry about that.

That's exactly my point

Point taken, I'm not sure how I'd feel about Sora if it wasn't one of the two reasons I listed.

Sora: Oh, its you. Hi.

*Sora sees Riku*

*grabs his hand and gets on knees with tears in eyes*

To be fair, Sora DID look everywhere. He KNEW EXACTLY WHERE KAIRI WAS. So he hada reason for not going teary over her.I think his words to her at the end of KH1 were enough.

This. This so much. And then if we go on voice acting, Princess Jasmine's "Sora, Donald, Goofy.." was the most lackluster line delivered in the entire game.
