JustRob 20 Posted February 9, 2013 When fighting the Neo Shadows at Memory's Skycraper, after Roxas throws the Oblivion towards Riku, he's suddenly holding the Kingdom Key of the Realm of Darkness in his right hand. How is that possible? Does he have three keyblades? And how did he even get the Kingdom Key D, isn't it supposed to belong to Mickey?
Crashrobot55 238 Posted February 9, 2013 This was just a mistake i think
Mog 97 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) I read about this on wikipedia before.. Not exactly sure why they decided to give Roxas the Kingdom Key D and Mickey the Kingdom Key.. This was in deep dive though, very early on in the series. I think it is canonical.. the mistakes were corrected in the proper scene in 358 days. Weiss 8,279 Posted February 9, 2013 Well that happens in deep dive and from what I've reviewed not in the actual days so it was probably just something in the concept trailer back then that doesn't really fit in plotwise now.
Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted February 9, 2013 It should be noted this only took place in Another Side Another Story which was a beta trailer for KH2. Nomura was still tossing around ideas about how he actually wanted the game to go down Roxas never actually held Kingdom Key D in the canon storyline. 1 KingdomHearts3 reacted to this
Indecypher 495 Posted February 9, 2013 From the Kh wiki: "Because Deep Dive is more of a conceptual trailer than a canonical one, both Roxas and Mickey are shown with uncharacteristic Keyblades (Roxas shown wielding the Kingdom Key D, and Mickey shown wielding the Kingdom Key.) This was corrected in 358/2 Days; Mickey did not make an appearance at Memory's Skyscraper and Roxas did not summon an additional Keyblade after Riku took Oblivion." JustRob 20 Posted February 9, 2013 Ahhh I see. Well that makes sense, I guess.
Jamos 27 Posted February 9, 2013 Doesn't a key blade take the form that the key chain wants? For instance, all the keys you have with Sora are really just one key with a different skin. Is this an idea that he has kept? If it is, then whatever the key it is that someone has is just symbolism. Also that could mean the base keyblade of light is the kingdom key. It would be why Riku's first key was the kingdom key when he did that spoiler. Dose this make since or am I rambling?
JustRob 20 Posted February 9, 2013 Well personally I think the Kingdom Key itself is the basic keychain of the Keyblade, and most Keyblade wielders start out with that. The Kingdom Key D seems to be an exception, one of a kind Keyblade. Which explains why only Mickey can have it.
Caity 3,946 Posted February 9, 2013 Deep Dive has been described as a concept. It was only after when people said how amazingly epic it was that it was reworked into the story So since it was a concept first it didn't have to be logical, just pretty. I saw Another Side, Another Story and compared it to 358/2 Days and I agree with you. In 358/2 Days, Roxas only has one keyblade in his hand, not two. They're both very cool cutscenes. 1 Robbie the Wise reacted to this
Ptolema 404 Posted February 9, 2013 I don't think that was canon... 1 Indecypher reacted to this
