Weiss 8,279 Posted February 6, 2013 they just need to make a game where YOU can catch them all That would also be an interesting idea I still stand for Virus, Bacteria and microbe pokemon. Or even a proper hedgehog pokemon/shot Aidari (Aids Pokemon) Flusora (Flu Pokemon) Swinye (Swine Flu pokemon) @TOPIC They wouldn't stop since its Nintendo's best selling franchise and you know how Nintendo's income will go down the drain if a company with their best-selling-franchise ends it. As long as people play it, it's going to continue. Plus they got 50 billion other ways to create Pokemon and to create a better plot. It wont die till far into the future. I wasn't talking about the series ending. Just the creation of new pokemon slowing down. I have accomplished this feat btw. Why am I not surprised? You don't have to catch them all dude. This is just a catchphrase and you don't need to catch all of them to get the full experience of the game. Plus,if there is a franchise that you're supposed to wish it would stop,it has to be Call of Duty I realize that. It was just the only thing I could think of for the title of the thread. If I recall, someone from the pokemon co. said pokemon will never end. Never thought it was going to end Thinking Pokemon is ever going to stop is like thinking Square Enix will stop making Final Fantasy games. Except Pokemon improves with every game. zing! Again. I wasn't referring to the series stopping.
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 6, 2013 I wasn't talking about the series ending. Just the creation of new pokemon slowing down. It might slow down a bit but like I said there are 50 billion other variations of Pokémon to be made. After all, Pokémon can go from animals, gears to DNA. They can always make pre-evolutions/another evolution of any Pokémon. XY is going to have less new Pokémon than previous generation since the rest are going to be evolution stages from Gen 1 - Gen 5. There are going to be more ways to create it. When they will run out of ideas will either be around the next decade or so.

Like I said it is their way of making money so I doubt it'd be any time soon if they did. I do think it's a possibility out there that they could do it if they ever decided to. They could end up shifting towards it gradually by doing what they're doing with x and y's numbers. And yeah, pretty much anything can be a pokemon after all coughsarcophaguscough

These Pokémon got decoded and became "Missingno"s. Also a magnet that evolves into more magnets, land mine which evolves into two landmines, trashbag that evolves into a dumpster, cell/cancer, stove, land mower, anything related to Rotom really, candle that evolves into a lamp that evolves into a chandelier, ice cream and much more. Dio Brando 5,810 Posted February 7, 2013 Anyway, being able to catch all the Pokemon is much better than buying them as DLC like what happened in Final Fantasy XIII-2 where you have to buy monsters encounters.Did We ever bought a Legendary Pokemon as paid DLC???? I don't think you've paid 5 dollars to catch Arceus or Mewtwo, and even Event Pokemon are given to you for FREE wether you've got the event Pokemon from the Mystery Gift Feature or have participated and a real life event. The Hero of Time 11 Posted February 16, 2013 Even the company is aware of how ridiculous this is. Have you noticed that nowhere in the games, manga, nor anime does it say "Gotta Catch 'em all!" Anymore? 1 Shazzam reacted to this
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted February 17, 2013 Even the company is aware of how ridiculous this is. Have you noticed that nowhere in the games, manga, nor anime does it say "Gotta Catch 'em all!" Anymore? That's why I said that they never said that catching them all is mandatory,it's just a freakin catchphrase, there are other franchises that uses catchphrases that is not mandatory to the overall experience. Besides, can you really catch 600 Pokemon?????
Weedanort 8,786 Posted February 18, 2013 It was kinda easy to get all 151 Pokémons. Nowadays it's impossible to get ALL Pokémons. I'll give 1000€ to the person who catches them all after Pokémon X and Y comes out 1 Shazzam reacted to this

So I have one of every Pokemon, just not all on the same game lol...

Dio Brando 5,810 Posted February 28, 2013 Over 700 pokemon now. Nintendo is driving slaves if they think we can catch um all. They never said you have to catch them all,it's just a freakin catchphrase Hell, even the new games no longer have the "Gotta Catch'em all" phrase anymore Completing the Pokedex is just a side quest. The main goal of every game is to become a Pokemon Master and defeat the evil organizations in said games
