roxaskeybladeart55 72 Posted May 1, 2010 Which has the saddest ending, Kingdom hearts 358/2 days, or Kingdom hearts Birth by sleep. in my opinion 358/2 since it ends where his friend pretty much dies and he is hauled away to a digital twilight town, or in my opinion the nut house where everyone is incapable of understanding what just happened. And in birth by sleep they are all pretty much alive, just are incapable to do anything, and the secret ending makes it clear everythings gonna turn out fine. sorry if this has already been a thread. heartless101 83 Posted May 1, 2010 I voted 4 BBS because Ven doesn't see any of them again after Keyblade Wars
Reversal 53 Posted May 2, 2010 I have to say BBS. I just connected more with TAV than with Roxas and Xion; didn't really feel that bad for them since they returned to their true self.

roxaskeybladeart55 72 Posted May 2, 2010 I just didn't understand what was so sad about bbs' ending, Ven went to sora when he lost his heart and Aqua was stuck in a dark place for over ten years, Terra became Xehanort. while in 358/2 days Roxas went through a struggle about himself, heleft the organization cause no one told him anything, he then later killed his best friend(not seriously) and was captured by Riku and sent to twilight town, where he still got no answers and ended up beating his other friend half to death. Sure he goes back to sora. Then again it could be the same amount for both since reconnect kingdom hearts and such.
Protoman 1,974 Posted May 2, 2010 Aquas ending was pretty sad, I mean she had to fight both of her best friends when they wern't in controll of themselfs and lost both of them no matter how hard she tried to save them. And then she was stuck for 10 years not being able to do anything about saving her friends or the world. And its gotta be pretty upsetting once she finds out that she nearly cause one of the major villans in kingdom hearts.
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted May 2, 2010 I found Aqua's ending the saddest ending of BBS. Ven's wasn't really too sad, and Terra pretty much ended up the best off. sure he was taken over by a crazy old dude and lost his memory. But he lived, and I am pretty sure regained memories of Ven and Aqua as Xemnas I would have to say 358/2 Days had the sadder ending. think about what happened to Terra, Aqua, and Ven. Did any of them watch their friend die a slow, painful death that they had caused? Don't think so.
KHfan1247 0 Posted May 2, 2010 bbs i didnt think it was sas when xion died (sorry xion fan) but she ruined the game! but in bbs they pretty much cant do anything and that has to suck knowing you cant do anymore to stop someone.
Keyblader 325 Posted May 2, 2010 i have to say days, its almost embarrassing, xion dying almost maid me cry, and im a guy!, :s poor roxas, she crystalized
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted May 2, 2010 bbs i didnt think it was sas when xion died (sorry xion fan) but she ruined the game! but in bbs they pretty much cant do anything and that has to suck knowing you cant do anymore to stop someone. Xion was the main part of the game. Without her the game would just be two guys eating ice cream.
baylaust 2,531 Posted May 2, 2010 As awesome as BBS's endings were, I have to go with 358/2 Days on this one. One thing about it is that we know how Roxas's story would end. Riku will defeat him, he'd go into the Digital Twilight Town, then become one with Sora. But we see Roxas, Axel, and Xion all become best friends over the course of almost a year, and to see everything fall apart, with Roxas forced to fight Xion, Axel being forced to hunt down his two best friends, and Xion fading away in Roxas's arms, it was executed amazingly. Not to say that BBS's ending(s?) weren't sad, but I just think that 358/2 Days was sadder.
soulreaper52 9 Posted May 2, 2010 i went with bbs cause they all couldnt do anything and they couldnt see each other again but in days roxas xion and axel get to see each other again eating ice cream on the tower
RoxasStalker 11 Posted May 2, 2010 I choose 358/2 Days because I really feel bad for Roxas I mean come it's bad enough being a Nobody but all that stuff that he went through too? Feeling that he can't trust Axel, Xion dieing, stoped by Riku and being traped in a digital world with no memory of what he really is? Come on that's horibal. StarCharm 54 Posted May 2, 2010 I'l go with BBS, because come on people, Ven is just a sleeping body, his heart is in Sora deep within and might never see his friends again. Terra, even though became Xehanort, died, remember? He lost his heart once, and was born his heartless and Xemnas, Sora killed the heartless, and then Xemnas, so technically he died 3 times. And Aqua, she wandered in the Realm of Darkness for 10 years! Having no idea how her friends were, what was happening to the worlds, still hoping to fulfill her promise to Ven of waking him up; she's probably the only that is still alive, although Ven is but has no longer his body... It's so sad, that at the beginning and through the game they are so close, saying they're connected, that they'll always be brought together and then, it happened. I know 358/2 days was sad, but Xion didn't die, she returned with Sora, and so did Roxas later in KH2, they are together, although not physically. rho 9 Posted May 3, 2010 KH1's was just like "wat". come on, Kairi. Jump over and join Sora on his journey. Wimp. CoM.. meh. KH2's wasn't sad. I don't see how it could have been. 358/2 Days' would have been if Xion wasn't so annoying and "WHO ELSE WILL I EAT ICE CREAM WITH" was absent. BBS.. Not really. Nobody exactly died. Ventus is taking a nap, Terra fused with MX, and Aqua's chilling in the Dark Realm.
Yami Tsuki 15 Posted February 5, 2013 I am making this post out of the status I did a few days back. To me 358/2 Days had a very sad ending. Not only did Xion kinda died but everyone forgot her as well. It could also be said the same for the three. Terra lost his mind, heart, and body, but he's still alive. Aqua wonders in darkness, but still alive. And Ven lost his heart and is sleeping, and is still alive. That's why BBS wasn't the saddest, cause they are all still alive. They have a higher chance of being saved. Xion basically died. True, she just "return" to Sora, but in a way she gone forever.

Dave 5,715 Posted February 5, 2013 Days is a much more tragic story. There's a constant element of loss present which all three of our main characters experience, and the end of the game sees them all lose something of great importance, with no chance of regaining it.. Birth By Sleep tries to emulate this, but fails: the sense of loss is only brought up in a handful of cut scenes, and then again at the end. Also, at the end, its clear that they haven't really lost anything: they've only been temporarily inconvenienced until someone comes and saves them. 6 Silent, Col.Random, Shera Wizard and 3 others reacted to this
Col.Random 3,683 Posted February 5, 2013 Death isn't the worst fate. But yeah, i fond Days to be saddest cause Xion not only died, but at the hands of her best friend who then lost everything and sometime after that, even his memory..for a while at least. 3 Captain Arrowguns, Kinode and Shera Wizard reacted to this
Shera Wizard 2,736 Posted February 5, 2013 days takes the tragic. I mean all the three lost basically everyone they cared for. Xion not for the part of dying but actually fading from their memories. Think of it as this way: if Xion had DIED, we'd be saying, In memory of Xion But she faded away from almost everyone's memories too. and besides, Aqua, Ven and Terra were somebodies, Xion was a mere puppet and yet Axel and Roxas made her feel like a real person, so much done and then it's all gone, completely wiped. 3 Kinode, Col.Random and Lexa Infinite reacted to this
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted February 5, 2013 BBS .Besides, Ansem the Wise's data saved in Sora was alluded to being able to save even Roxas and Xion too especially since they both grew hearts and aren't truly dead, just inside Sora. BBS was just very sad bc it's been way over a decade and none of these characters are saved and pretty much have been firetrucked .Yes Roxas and Xion are also 'stuck' per se but at least they experience things through Sora while Terra is forced to become a villain hellbent on causing darkness to flood the worlds to gain access to KH , Aqua is trapped in the RoD fighting off whatever comes in her path to attack her, and Ven is in a coma. I just feel more empathy for the characters of BBS. 3 Demyx., Kishira and Robbie the Wise reacted to this
Demyx. 10,064 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Days is a much more tragic story. Although they will regain what they lost, it doesn't make it not tragic. It's not like they were saved a day later. They haven't been able to see or talk to the most important people to them in over 10 years. Aqua has been stuck in the realm of darkness left to fight for her life, Ven lost his heart and Terra's body was taken control of. He was even forced to fight one of his best friends. Although, we all know, they will be saved. They don't. If you put yourself in the shoes of the characters, it becomes more of a tragic story. In the end, it all comes down to how the games made you feel, yourself. So, you can't really say one fails while the other doesn't.
